Overheard in EPCOT last week...

Super cute pic! :goodvibes I would love to see all 3 come out together.
So I guess my hopes of ever having them bring out Toulouse and Berlioz are dashed now??????? :rotfl2:

Thanks! :goodvibes And yes, we'd wait in line a long time for that group! We're big princess fans, but our love of Disney started with Marie and her brothers. :goodvibes That movie got us through many a long night with ear infections!

I never knew Sleeping Beauty had a name until my son came back with "Princess Aurora" in his autograph book on our first trip.

I wasn't quite sure who the cat was either.... but I've seen Aristocats many times! I figured it out though before we took photos and met Marie. I'll admit.... I had to search for an answer on the smart phone.... Marie is a tad bigger at WDW than in the movie!

I don't think everyone has to memorize all the characters but I think it's kind of crazy to say "Look, a stuffed animal!" at a Disney park.

My kids (8 and 11) still love getting autographs and taking pictures.

A few years ago we went to Disney on ice and when Sebastian came out to skate the guy behind me was yelling MR Krabs over and over, we were busting up laughing.

Agreed. Far too few people do enough Disney research before they go (the planning and watching old, forgotten movies is half the fun, right?) Just today, my Mom and I were talking and I said something about Maleficent's voice and she replies,

"Oh, Maleficent. I never liked him much."

I have no idea who she thought Maleficent was, but I'm working on educating her before our trip *sigh*

THIS! For the amount of money people spend to come here you would think they would be Disney fans...lol

OK, I have been a Disney fan since I was around 12 years old. I am almost 63 now...I have been to WDW 28 times and DL once. That said, I am a fan of Disney Parks mostly. I have seen some movies that I liked but movies do nothing for me generally. I wouldn't stand in line to meet a character if you pointed a gun to my head and told me I had too.:headache:

I wouldn't know the names of the characters at all except for the standard oldies like Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald and Daisy. I wouldn't waste one second of time "researching" them either, so I might very well be one of those people that wouldn't know Marie. If that means that I am not a Disney fan than I respectfully request that Disney return the money that I have spent in those places over the years. I could really use it right now.:upsidedow

Right after Princess and the Frog came out, we were at MK and heard a couple of "Is she supposed to be black?" comments while waiting to see Tiana and Naveem.

Tell me this wasn't Tuesday because if it was, it was me saying, "Do you want to take a picture with that cat?" because I had no clue who that was!
 That is a rather more obscure character. We saw Meeko and I got WAY excited because Pocahontas is one of my absolute favorite movies. There wasn't even anybody in line for him! He did take my purse and stole the crackers out of it! Sheepishly, I was on line for the princesses and had to ask somebody who the last chick was. I thought it was Rapunzel. It was Sleeping Beauty!

Although calling Duffy a stuffed animal might be ok.....althoughmost probably just call him "who's that bear?" until he catches on.

PS-I LOVE LOVE LOVE Duffy!
