Overbooked at Boardwalk and moved barely without asking?

I called yesterday and was told Club wouldn’t be available until late May at the earliest. I asked about my room reservation and was told I would be given options at check in. I’m not super kicked with that idea but it’ll have to do for now. I need to be at BW regardless of what room they put me in.

I'm sorry you got disappointing news when you asked. Was the call to the club level Signature Services number or the regular Disney reservations line?

I’m an agent so I called into the agent line. The CM I talked to spoke to Guest Services and that was their answer. My agency meeting is that week at the BW conference center which is why I’m going to refuse to move resorts. I just don’t want to get there and get told I don’t have a room. This answer doesn’t sit well with me and I’ll certainly be trying a couple different avenues.

It's subjective, of course, but I'd consider any other Deluxe resort an upgrade from Boardwalk.
Agree 100%. I know they are in the process of a refurb but when I was there in Dec (Bwv, studio) it was a bit run down (and that's being generous) Dirty stained rug and sofa bed. Broken bath fixtures and dresser draws. I love the proximity to Epcot but ill stick to the Riviera or the Yacht club.

How long do we think this will be going on for? We are booked at BWI in early July

Same. When I booked, the whole resort was expected to be done by the end of April. We’re doing a split stay with Poly CL first, checking into BWI CL July 4th. We’re APs & I’m deliberate in what resorts I book. I’d rather cancel than get moved to AK for example. Hopefully they’ll get back on track & we’ll both get to enjoy nice new rooms in July. 🤞🏻

*Update*
I called into the agent line again and got a very sweet CM. I explained the situation and she got in touch with guest services. They were able to move me to a garden view room while keeping my promo rate. I’m totally fine with that since I truly just need to be at BW, not necessarily CL. They just got notification yesterday of the CL refurb extension.

I know it most likely doesn't seem like it but im very easy going. However if im going to spend 10K on a "experience" then steps should be followed. THIS all could have been avoided with a simple phone call..."Mr Smith; we have ran into a problem with your room. Would you be ok with a change?" Sure no problem. Not move the cattle gates around till we fix our problem.
Your TA owns the reservation. Disney will not talk to you and BTW that goes for any trip that is handled by a TA. I would be concerned that your TA didn't discuss the issue with you before the change was made and then blaming Disney.
