Over the river and through the FUN!

Thank you so much. We are going there right now. Jenny is jumping up and down. You made our snowy day!

Awwwww....Brooklynn's conversation with Mickey is too cute!

She has some interesting fake phone conversations.

Her real conversations are pretty funny, too!

********************************

After we left Chef Mickey's, Jill bought Brooklynn a light up necklace at the gift shop.

The guys all went to Downtown Disney, I think, and Jill, Brooklynn, and I went over to see Polynesian decorations.

From outside looking in. You can see the musician in the window. I think I have read that he is no longer there.

We walked out to the beach for a few minutes. Brooklynn wanted to stay and play in the sand, but we needed to get going. Her puckered lip got the best of me, so we went back and got a handful of sand and put it in a ziplock bag. (I carry those for storing leftovers, in case you haven't already heard. :) ) I told her we could take it home where she could keep it and always have a little Polynesian with her. She got a kick out of that and was quite proud of her little bag o' sand. We got her a little Tinkerbell glass cup to put it in.

Going from the monorail back over to Magic Kingdom to catch the bus, we were able to see some fireworks.

We walked quickly in order to beat the crowds when they ended.

(Edited: I didn't pay attention to the gift shop. This is Movies, so I guess we got off at Movies and went back to Music. This may have been one of those times that we just grabbed the first All-Star bus that came along and got back to Music that way. Do you remember details, Jill?)

That was the end of Thanksgiving Day 2008. It had been fun, and I am definitely up for going at Thanksgiving again any time. I talked to Drew, and he had gone with friends to their grandmother's house, so I knew he had eaten well and had a good day, too. All in all, it was a very nice day that we will have fond memories of.

What a fantastic Thanksgiving Day! Thanks for sharing... I love the story about the sand.

Enjoy your Sunday...

Those durn pouty lips! They can best us all.

What a great way to spend Thanksgiving.

OK Jill, I just have to say how much fun it is to have you around more often now to comment on the trip and keep us posted on Brooklyns adventures!

What a fun way to spend Thanksgiving! And I've enjoyed hearing about Brooklynn's phone converstations! :)

It was a beautiful Sunday here. We were able to walk outside without coats or even light jackets and the sun was shining!

Sometimes her pouting is real, but she has also mastered the art of the fake pout, too, which is pretty funny.

great idea about th esand--what a cool , creative grandma you are:thumbsup2

It was just a sudden thought to grab a handful of sand for her to take with her, and it satisfied her beautifully. Every time I look at that little Tinkerbell cup of sand, I will think of being on the Poly beach with Jill and Brooklynn that Thanksgiving night. What a nice memory! :)

I'm in full agreement with that. I love hearing from Jill, and I love seeing more pictures of Brooklynn.

isn't that what puckered lips are for? :p

cute idea about the sand! i would've loved that as a kid, too.

They were the real kind that night, not the fake ones. I guess it's a good thing Jill was the voice of reason, because I would have sat there and played in the sand with her all night, if that's what she wanted to do.

Jill should video her sometime when she's on the phone so you can hear the real deal.

Awww I love the idea of taking sand home from the Poly for Brooklynn. So cute. :goodvibes

I also love the sand idea! I might have to borrow that idea if we do any resort hopping.

I like the bag that Jill got. I think that my mom might have gotten a similar one. And, I have to say, you got some nice firework pictures even as you were hurrying to the bus.

The fake pout! :rotfl: That reminds me of what my parents called my "harrumph" face when I was little -- lip out, frown, and even crossed arms. They have a picture of me when I was probably about three making that face. I don't think my pout was ever fake though. :)

Finally caught up on your TR. I really got a kick out of seeing Brooklyn dancing. I LOVE watching little kids dance. They are so carefree. It would be nice if adults could just get up and do that and feel uninhibited. Just dance people!! Who cares who's looking
I'm glad you enjoyed your Turkey Day at Disney.
Congrats on getting your tickets. That's how early we usually fly and I love it! We get there early and it's like having a whole extra day there. :yay:

Looks like your Thanksgiving was great! I'm guessing the best part was just being there with your family!

It looks like you all had a memorable time yet again!!! You are lucky to have such a close-knit loving family full of wonderful people! :grouphug:

I was excited when I saw the picture of the bags. My co-worker always brings me a little something back from WDW when she goes (she goes about 2x a year). This past fall she brought me back candy and cookies in that green earth-wise bag (with the tree shaped like a mickey head). I use it everywhere! (of course, I had others before, but would you blame me for using the one that says WDW on it? :confused3 )

Those candy displays were very cool. :thumbsup2 What a great idea to let Brooklynn bring home a piece of the beach. :goodvibes

Sounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

Your Thanksgiving sounds great. It sounds much better than cooking and cleaning up the mess all day. I wish you could have had your whole family with you, then it would have been perfect.

Jill,

Brooklynn's conversation with Mickey was so cute. It is fun seeing little ones love Disney so much. I never got to go when I was a kid. I am so thankful my kids get to go.
