Over the river and through the FUN!

Oh the pouty lip...a total killer! I've always been a fan of using it myself! ;) Oh I love the Polynesian and didn't get there once during the last trip! Thanks for sharing the photos! :)

You're such a good MeMom, bagging up sand for cute little Brooklynn. :) In November, I got the same light up necklace as her. I must be a kid at heart too.

What a wonderful end to a wonderful Thanksgiving day. Disney and family, it can't get much better. So cute that Brooklynn got to take home a piece of the Poly. The decorations in that lobby are amazing too! :wizard:

Awww I love the idea of taking sand home from the Poly for Brooklynn. So cute.

This could unknowingly be the end of the Poly beach as we know it. If everyone takes a handful of sand, the beach may no longer exist.
Then where would we go to watch Fourth of July fireworks or the EWP?
Oooh, nooooooo!!!!

I also love the sand idea! I might have to borrow that idea if we do any resort hopping.

I like the bag that Jill got. I think that my mom might have gotten a similar one. And, I have to say, you got some nice firework pictures even as you were hurrying to the bus.

The fake pout! That reminds me of what my parents called my "harrumph" face when I was little -- lip out, frown, and even crossed arms. They have a picture of me when I was probably about three making that face. I don't think my pout was ever fake though.

I hope you do get some resort-hopping time in. I very much enjoy exploring the resorts.

The fireworks pictures weren't bad, especially considering the hundreds of blurry pictures I seem to have gotten on that trip.

Do you still get your way with your pouty face, or do they just ignore you now? :)

Finally caught up on your TR. I really got a kick out of seeing Brooklyn dancing. I LOVE watching little kids dance. They are so carefree. It would be nice if adults could just get up and do that and feel uninhibited. Just dance people!! Who cares who's looking
I'm glad you enjoyed your Turkey Day at Disney.
Congrats on getting your tickets. That's how early we usually fly and I love it! We get there early and it's like having a whole extra day there.

She is totally into her dancing. No inhibitions with her when she's dancing.

We leave Nashville at 6:30 and are in a park eating by lunchtime. Not bad.
I'm up early anyway, so it doesn't bother me in the least.

Looks like your Thanksgiving was great! I'm guessing the best part was just being there with your family!

Yes, it was nice, and I'm glad Jarvis could come to keep Trent company. Since he had broken up with Kristi, his Thanksgiving Day was going to be pretty different than it had been in the last few years, so it was good for him to get away.

It looks like you all had a memorable time yet again!!! You are lucky to have such a close-knit loving family full of wonderful people!

I was excited when I saw the picture of the bags. My co-worker always brings me a little something back from WDW when she goes (she goes about 2x a year). This past fall she brought me back candy and cookies in that green earth-wise bag (with the tree shaped like a mickey head). I use it everywhere! (of course, I had others before, but would you blame me for using the one that says WDW on it? )

I am very blessed to have my three great kids, and I acknowledge that daily.

I saw the tree bags everywhere. That was nice of your co-worker to bring you back fun stuff! Of course, I would use a Disney bag. I do use a Disney bag!

Those candy displays were very cool. :thumbsup2 What a great idea to let Brooklynn bring home a piece of the beach.

Sounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

Someday, I am going to buy all sorts of candy and let the grandkids just start creating their own scenes like that.

Your Thanksgiving sounds great. It sounds much better than cooking and cleaning up the mess all day. I wish you could have had your whole family with you, then it would have been perfect.

Jill,

Brooklynn's conversation with Mickey was so cute. It is fun seeing little ones love Disney so much. I never got to go when I was a kid. I am so thankful my kids get to go.

Yeah, I do wish Drew had been able to go. I got a Happy Thanksgiving text message and a phone call, though, and I knew he was having a good time with Sam's family, so it was okay. Sam has been to WDW twice with us, and he's around enough that he's like family, so it was all good.

What a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

Yes ma'am, it was, and I have more light pictures to put up sometime.

What a great way to spend Thanksgiving.

I'm up for doing it again in the future!

She knows she can get whatever she wants out of me...but I do ask her Mommy's permission first. I'm not going to be one of those grandmothers who starts trouble. I ask Jill if it's okay before I offer something or give in to something, just to be sure.

I LOVE your new picture!!! I truly want to meet those sweet kids someday, and I am thrilled about the fact that you are adopting the little guy!

When we are in Disney World, we are supposed to be kids again. It's a requirement. :)

It's time for another early morning walk around the resorts.

This is from over at All-Star Movies.

Isn't that cool?

Movie posters. Sorry for the glare.

Not very busy at this time of the morning.

Activities by the pool.

Today was a Hollywood Studios day.

IMG_0015.jpg

We went straight for the Toy Story rope drop area, of course. The quiet in these pictures does not tell the story of what was behind me.

When the masses were let go, we joined the crowd in the semi-fast-paced walk.

Some people ran. I'm not that excited about a ride to run, but I will walk briskly for Soarin'. ;)

That's it for now. I have things to get done around the house and for school. Have a good rest of the evening, friends!

Thank you for the great Brown Derby patio shots, MeMom! I am so looking forward to eating there in June!!!

I really like how All Star Movies looks -- we may need to stay there someday since we are such huge movie buffs!

i love our early morning walks. although i'm too lazy to participate in them in real life. maybe one day.

i was getting ready to comment on how quiet it looked in the picture of jill, brooklynn and john!

i've never understood the running thing for anything. one lady was scolded for running when we went to meet tinker bell this last trip. it was ridiculous.

Do you still get your way with your pouty face, or do they just ignore you now? :)

I wish! :rotfl: It used to work GREAT on Charles, but he's now "immune" (his words) to it after dealing with it for almost three years.

Ooh! And I spotted a hidden MeMom! ;)

I LOVE your early morning pictures. I swear that I will wake up early one day, take pictures, and go to the food court when it's not overrun.

Enjoyed the pictures from Movies. That is where we stayed in 2003 and 2006, so it brings back great memories.

I don't know that I've ever seen one of the lobby's that empty! Crazy! Love your shopping pics. They give me great ideas to put on my wish list for June.

Oh I really like the look of ASMovies! I've never been in that one before, though I've stayed at Music and Sports...perhaps I'll have to give it a try on the next trip!

It was a memorable Thanksgiving. I think it would be a good tradition to start going down at that time every two or three years at that time. I don't know if I'd want to spend every Thanksgiving there, because I do like traditions at home, too, but it would be nice to go at that time of year on a more regular basis.

We have not eaten at Brown Derby, so I am looking forward to your review and pictures. It was very peaceful looking on the patio that morning, so I thought it made for a nice picture.

All-Star Movies has great photo ops on the outside. The room we had in Mighty Ducks last March was showing its age. It wasn't nearly as fresh and bright as our rooms at Music have been. We will stay there again, maybe even at Christmas, but I will be glad when they do the refurbishing, because it is needed.

I'll do the walking, and you just sit there in your jammies and fuzzy slippers and enjoy the pictures. :)

Grown men were running, and especially after being asked very nicely by CM's, they looked ridiculous. I think at opening it is safe to say you are going to get on the ride and get a Fastpass without having to run people over.

I wish! :rotfl: It used to work GREAT on Charles, but he's now "immune" (his words) to it after dealing with it for almost three years.

I LOVE your early morning pictures. I swear that I will wake up early one day, take pictures, and go to the food court when it's not overrun.

I knew somebody would see the Hidden MeMom. I couldn't get it to show up right standing over to the side, so I had to get in front of it. They have a lot of fun things going on at that pool all day. I really like Music, and if Jill chooses that one again for December, I'm good with that, too.

It's funny, because one day this summer when we happened to be at Pop later than usual in the morning, I went to the food court and said a big 'wow!' in my head when I saw all the people. I finally saw the huge crowds everyone talks about all the time! I had never been there at the normal times, so I just couldn't imagine the crowd until I saw it.

There's a way to avoid those crowds. ;)

That camera in the food area looks so cool! Great touch.

I thought that camera was cool, too. And did you see the movie reel chairs, too? I wanna be a Disney resort designer! I could create and shop and decorate and get paid for it - awesome!!!

Enjoyed the pictures from Movies. That is where we stayed in 2003 and 2006, so it brings back great memories.

I'm glad you had good memories. I don't know if I'll get over to the All Stars in March, but if I do, I'll keep you in mind for more pictures. Time is very short on this trip, so we only have plans to go to a few resorts. Right now, the agenda is Grand Floridian, just because it's pretty, Polynesian for breakfast, Animal Kingdom Lodge for shopping, animal watching, and zebra domes, Wilderness Lodge for the boat ride, the beauty, and the geyser (and more shopping), and Caribbean Beach for pictures of the new pool.

I don't know that I've ever seen one of the lobby's that empty! Crazy! Love your shopping pics. They give me great ideas to put on my wish list for June.

I always see the lobby pretty empty. You guys are just up there sleeping the day away at 6 a.m. and you don't know about how easy it can be to get a Mickey waffle at that time! :rotfl:

There will be many more shopping pictures to come. That was one of my main missions on that trip - lots of shopping pictures.

Been MIA for a little while I have to start catching up!

So I've noticed.
I thought you left us for good.
I was missing my long lost Disney daughter. :sad1:

Did you have fun on your dad & daughter trip?

It's almost cruise time for your parents, isn't it?

Oh I really like the look of ASMovies! I've never been in that one before, though I've stayed at Music and Sports...perhaps I'll have to give it a try on the next trip!

It has neat things to take pictures of - a lot of classic stuff, and the Toy Story section is really cool. The rooms are not as bright and new as Sports and Music, though, so just be prepared for them to not look quite as good. That is, if you've stayed at Sports and Music since they've fixed things up. If you stayed there before the refurbs, then it'll be just the same.

We requested Mighty Ducks so we could walk across the street and get on the bus at Music. It was nice when they were sharing buses, because we got seats more often. :)

Hi! I am back!
Did you get those zebra domes I emailed ya?????:rotfl2: We had a great weekend and the weather was bright and warm and beautiful. The other dissers were delightful. I will tell ya all about it in my quick trip report.

So, what fun you all had at Chef Mickeys! The characters must really love how lovable and unafraid Brooklyn is with them. I am sure they get all kinds of reactions from kids. Love all of the shopping pics of course. I didn't take any myself but I soaked it all in visually.

Well, I think I saw a pic of the baby via ultrasound....how cool is that!!! Glad to see everyone is doing fine!

OK, I am off to try to catch up on things! Bye for now! :wizard:

All Star Movies food court looks really cool! And I agree with you - I never run for an attraction. ;)

We had a blast on the dad/daughter trip! Im planning a pre-trip report probably after AP rates are announced (hopefully next week) so we know what resort we are staying at! Made our ADRs already (most of them) so things are looking good! We leave May 9th, I can't wait!

I'm all caught up. I always love your early morning stroll pictures. The ASMo stroll brought back many great memories; that was our very first trip.

Hey check out my new signature!

"That Darn Cat" was one of my favorites when I was growing up. They showed it on tv one day and we recorded. My brother and I use to be able to recite the movie.

All Star Movies looks like a lot of fun. I think that will be the next All Stars I stay at after my stay at All Star Music.

Love your Brown Derby shots, they look so peaceful but then you see the madness of the dash to TSM. :rotfl:
