Can you bring outside food and drink into the park? I thought you could, but wasn't sure. Also, I read somewhere that you can't bring bottled water on rides - is that only if it's open and/or out? We're driving so can bring a bunch of stuff with us to save time and add convenience/nutrition, but I don't want to waste a bunch of effort shopping and packing! Thanks!

Reclosable drinks are fine on rides.

Outside food and drink is fine to bring in.

No glass, alcohol, not ready to eat food that needs to be assembled, no coolers over 6 pack size.

Yes you can bring food and water into the parks. There are some limits and I dont know all of them but I do know if you bring sandwiches they have to be put together before you enter the park (so make them and put em in a sandwich bag) you cant bring the makings of a sandwich and then assemble it in the park.

Last trip we brought a small soft cooler with bottled water and ice in it as well as gold fish crackers (for DD), grapes, and granola bars to snack on. Our cooler is big enough to hold 6-8 water bottles and fit in the bottom of our stroller.

I carried snacks and 3 bottles of water in my small knapsack bag at all times, rides and all. They didn't ask to look in my bag when I went on rides so I am assuming that they count on security to stop stuff from coming in that is not acceptable. To my surprise, they were very lenient with what came into the park with regards to food and drink which I am sure all families are grateful for so that you are able to afford a trip to Disney.:goodvibes

We are packing each of the kids backpack harnesses with a pack of goodies, ie: cheese sticks, grapes, homemade mickey shaped rice treats, chips, waters, juice boxes, etc. But 2 of my kids are special needs so I don't know if that makes a difference. Also I found a soft cooler/storage unit at walmart that attaches to the stroller so I am hoping that we can store some of our stuff in there too, not just waters or sodas but bottles or diapers. I have never seen anyone with the stroller storage before so I hope they don't mind.

As a mom with MS, and a kid with ADHD and allergic to food dyes, pur family definitely appreciates DL's very lax outside-food restrictions. In fact, the only thing security ever asked about our food and snacks were if there was glass in the bag. They let us come through with more liquids than we could ever drink, more food than we could ever eat, and didn't fuss about it at all. In fact, throughout our whole trip, they were very accommodating--I was able to say, "Oh, I need xyz, I have MS" and they were completely willing to help. They let me sit in a "standing only" spot, let me on and off rides first/last because of my balance issues, as long as I told them! I imagine they won't give your bag a second thought!

The only time I ever saw a problem was when someone tried to bring in a wheeled cooler -- one that he was pulling behind him. I can understand the concerns about someone tripping over the cooler.
