OUTLANDER Fans - Have you heard?

I just finished the last book...I don't know if I can wait 10 years for the next one :rotfl2:. I've been reading these books for what, 15 years now....not quite as bad as Jean Auel and her Clan of the Cave Bear books though....

I've been recording the episodes. I've watched 2 but will miss the next several so I'm saving this weeks for when I can binge watch the rest.

I'm reading the last book right now and I've been watching the series on Starz. I wonder how far into the first book they will get in the first season. At the pace it's going there's no way we'll make it even halfway through the plot of the first book.

I think the casting is pretty good. I pictured Jamie a little bigger and Claire a little less "willowy", but I think they are both doing a fine job with their roles.

I have kicked myself for years because I took the first book on our family vacation through the Scottish highlands back in the 90's, but never had time to even open the book until I got back home.

I'm kicking myself because I can't find the first four books of the series. I packed then for safe keeping....they're first editions.

Outlander was the first book that I bought on my 1st gen kindle. Loving the TV series!

I just had this conversation with my aunt last night.

There are still several major story lines in the first book that could take a long time to play out. I don't see how they can get through the first book in 16 episodes when they just spent four at the castle.

I guess I see the series as "Outlander" not "Diana Gabeldon books." They could take Outlander though 8 years to finish if they wanted to.

I've really been enjoying the show.

Last Saturday, I felt like I was sucker-punched, if you know what I mean.

That was so intense!

I've also been listening to a podcast called "The Scot and the Sassenach" - they are are married couple, and he's Scot, so it's been fun to listen to them.

Me after last night's episode:

I'm thinking we'll see a spike in births 9 months from last night :rotfl2:

Indeed!! Woooo, that was spicier than I thought it would be. I haven't read the books but my mom has. I laugh when she gets going and talking about the series - Outlander is to her what The Walking Dead is to me. :thumbsup2

Soooo, how many times has everyone watched the wedding episode? I'll admit to four times.

Twice so far. But it's got a permanent home on my dvr :)

I wonder how many of us who are watching have read the books? I have and I'm finishing up her last one at the moment.

OK, I finally got to watch last Saturday's episode. APRIL 4TH - are you kidding me?? That's too long!
