 We brought the trailer home today from storage. It was 65 here today and sunny. The place has about 40 trailers at it and at least 7 people were there doing the same thing. Everyone was so happy they just kept waving at each other. No weekend trips planned yet but its nice to see it in the drive.

It's so exciting when camping season rolls around!

We couldn't stand it anymore, so we took a trip down to Charleston for four days. It was still pretty chilly at night, but we had a blast. Had to re-winterize when we got home, but it was so worth it. Now I'm having fun scheduling up the rest of the year!

Enjoy!

YAY! I love when camping rolls around once again. we washed ours a couple weeks ago when it is near 60's here. 1 week till we leave for the fort.

:cool1:We got ours out of storage yesterday!!! We have a reservation for this coming up weekend beginning Thursday night. Cant wait!!!!!!!!!

I want to get ours over here this week, clean and air it out and check the roof. It seems to have handled the winter pretty well, but I need to do a good check for water. Now FW Guy has me paranoid about water in the pass-thru sotrage.

That's gonna be the first thing I check. When I put it away last October I thought about taking the trays out of the pass-thru, so that I could check that area during the winter. I decided that I didn't want them in my way in the garage all winter so I left them in. Now I wish I had put up with tripping over them in the garage. I can see the area right around the pass-thru door, but I can't see if there are water stains in the middle.

I did check the ceiling and cabinets last month, and didn't find anything. Here's hoping it will stay that way.

Don't trust water stains - mine looked fine, but when I pressed on the vinyl flooring in the storage compartment, it felt spongy.

When I take the trays out I can climb in under the bed and check it out good. That's why I wish I had taken them out last Fall. When I checked last month I realized that I couldn't do anything but look at the edges.

The edges right near the access doors was where my problem was, Rob. The middle of the compartment was fine. When you open the storage doors, does the panelling right around the door fit tight against the wall or is it lifted away a little? That's where my problem started. You might also think about replacing the gaskets on the doors even if it hasn't leaked yet. The gaskets Jayco used were pretty sorry on mine, and I could have avoided the whole mess if I had just replaced them a few years ago. I'm thinking of replacing the ones on my new trailer before they are a problem, although they appear a little bit better than Jayco's.

I remember that now. I may get back with you on the specific type of seal you used. I had that same thought when you posted about your problems, maybe it was an good idea to fix it before it could leak. I also made a note to check the main door for that.

The TT is 3 years old now, and I've wondered about what other things I may want to do preventive replacements of. The things is in mint condition, I'd like to keep it that way.

I rolled my pup out of the garage last Saturday where it had been since our Thanksgiving trip to the Fort. It was great to smell the canvas and feel the breeze inside. I cleaned out the fridge (little mold issue inside) but it felt good to get it ready for another season.

The Fort's not on our radar screen this year but we'll do our usual weekends and trip(s) to Gulf Shores this summer. And I need to plan in advance for next year's spring break when my oldest will be a high school senior.

Ours is sitting in the driveway with the tarp still covering it. Was tempted to remove it with last weekends beautiful weather...but decided against it.
I did sneak inside and everything looked good..no leaks that I could see. :thumbsup2
I don't know what kind of vacation time Bob will or won't be taking this year.:headache: Kind of disgusted about that.Talking about it, puts one or both of us in a bad mood. The subject has been tabled for the time being.:rolleyes1
:scratchin Sometimes I think we were better off with the seasonal site..at least we used it for the weekends. Bob won't bother towing off the island for just a weekend. So, last summer it was driveway campin' for us... except for the one trip to the beach:beach: which was lovely.

I'm really hoping to get off the driveway this year. :drive:

We're takin ours OUT next weekend. Probably going to Guntersville State Park so Rick can go fishin!! I can't believe I haven't had mine out yet this year. Last year I'd already been out at least once by now, and the year before that I'd been out 3 times!!

Then out of curiosity, I looked at my timecards at work. Last year, I had a total of 150 hours of overtime (not paid either, I'm salary) for the entire year.

This year, I've already got 110 hours of overtime, I've got two deferred holidays that I worked, and I haven't used a single hour of vacation, and it's only the end of March!! We've also got two more major projects coming down the pike this year.

Granted, I'm happy that we are busy at work and doing well, but dang!! It's cuttin in to the campin time!!!

Started packin the camper last night, checked and added air to the tires (got to use my air compressor I got for Christmas :-), flushed the pink stuff out of the sink pump, cleaned the fridge and turned it on!!! Tonight I add food and load the truck, and tomorrow night head campin!!!!

Moving ours from side yard (been there for the winter)to drive way tomorrow. Can't wait to pop her all the way up, I took a few peeks 2 weeks ago. Going to risk de-winterizing the shower...etc, knowing my luck we'll get another cold spell.
