Our Vero Beach Experience! YMMV 🐢 👋 🌊

Youre welcome! I hate steering people away, but I want to be honest and everything in this report is how it went down for us.

It has honestly made made me leery to want to try any offsite resorts. I feel like im going to be comparing them to how well run the theme park resorts are.

But I think Aul probably cant even compare and is in its own league. I am glad to hear that HHI water is swimmable and it seems like what it has to offer is what we were looking for in VB and I am definetly open to trying it!

If that is the GM, I’m pretty sure she came in within the last couple of years and that she is both the GM of HHI and VB which is weird. They used to have two separate GMs. And I absolutely think both resorts have stepped down service under her management. I just don’t think she is qualified frankly. Or even up to the job. The vibe is a bit less positive. We love both resorts, and I’m not saying the vibe at either is completely negative, just that there is a new sloppiness. I’ve noticed this at OKW and SSR too. Again, love both resorts and both are fabulous, but Disney is definitely putting in people to run them who are not as good as the people they replaced.
The situation may have changed; however, how it worked--at least up until a couple of years ago when I worked at HHI--is that there was a general manager for each resort, VB and HHI, and then there was another executive who oversaw both resorts. There are so many things going on at each resort that not having a full-time, on premises GM seems unlikely. These two GMs then report to the executive one step up whose own boss(es) is at WDW. When I stayed at HHI this past summer, I didn't note any real change in CM excellence or service.
