Oh, yeah, purple jeans!

I was in Shanghai on business back in Dec. '05.

I'd dropped my clothes off at the front desk for laundry. I got them back the nex day and everything was ok. Or so I thought.

When I got back to the room and checked my jeans, they were....PURPLE!

I thought it was just the light so I held them up to the window for natural light and, ayup, sure enough! Still PURPLE!

Apparently, something added to the wash to help clean jeans (or just darks) acted as a purple dye. There's no way I could have worn them anymore in a business environment. Besides, they had an awful stale smell to them now.

I was reimbursed about $40US for them and found some Arizona jeans on sale at Penney's when I got home so I guess I came out even.

I should have kept the jeans but I tossed them out when I moved a few months ago.



Now, if they'd been LIME GREEN, that would have been a different story!

Was just at Target. Picked up a neon green sun visor for our October trip. Contemplaiting writnig Dis Member on it. Also Neon Green ponchos for DS4. Should have picked up a few more. But I will be back to get them.

When I happened to go to Target this afternoon, I was compelled to visit the dollar section and pick up a few of those lime green ponchos (my DH is gonna kill me ). Also in that section was a lime green bucket hat! I saw the visors, but no one in our family wears them, so I skipped those. I think I'll write DIS on my bucket hat with a sharpie or something. Hee! YOU PEOPLE DID THIS TO ME!

Anyway, see you all in a few days. My DH's obscenely rich best friend is chartering a very large yacht Saturday night for his second annual dinner cruise party in San Diego Harbor. We had so much fun last year (though I don't wanna talk about the tequila incident) and we're looking forward to an even better time this year (less tequila). So, we're spending the weekend in the Gaslamp Quarter and will be back Sunday. Have fun being green while I'm gone!
