Young man, there's no need to feel down.
I said, young man, pick yourself off the ground.
I said, young man, 'cause you're in a new town
There's no need to be unhappy.

Young man, there's a place you can go.
I said, young man, when you're short on your dough.
You can stay there, and I'm sure you will find
Many ways to have a good time.

It's fun to stay at the y-m-c-a.

Love it! We used to tease my dad with this song. When he came home from WII, he stayed at the Y in San Francisco. He then went on to become a cop. VERY Village People.

AMEN!! my 16th birthday party was supposed to be a party for about 10 people, plus family....

my mom starting kicking people out when it had snowballed about about 65 people. She was mad, but everyone talked about my party for weeks.

LizzY...my mom and grandma rave about kimberly's day spa up here. i've never been...but it sure sounds nice. and i'm pretty sure they have a website too...they might have packages for teens or students...check it out.

Parents are a nasty breed aren't we?? BUT on the weekend a kid had a party that his parent's are laying charges for. Seems he invited more than a "few" over $40,000 worth of damage to the house OUCH

I did it I did it!! looks like I made a big thing ... page 1300 :faint: Can you believe that. So much we have to say I guess :cool1:

Promising myself an early night :cool1:

Speaking of warped and twisted, does anyone else on here watch "Dead Like Me"? It's quite amusing, and pretty twisted. They're showing it Tuesday nights from 7-9 on Sci-Fi.

yeah, school is my third job. that's about all i have time for if i want to sleep. I'm having nightmares about transfering next year to a 4 year school....

PUBLIC COLLEGE EDUCATION IS EXPENSIVE IN NEW YORK.

...i'm having a hard enough time paying to go to community college!

to all the posters still in high school: STAY HOME. LET YOUR PARENTS PAY FOR IT. THEY'VE BEEN EXPECTING TO PAY FOR IT FOR YEARS.

my mother went on edu-vacation with the money she had saved and planned on spending on my college years...too bad i left! :rotfl2:

As much as I want my kiddos to go to college I have one of those funds awaiting too. They won't know it's there so I'll only be paying for college under certain conditions. I would hate for them to use the money only because they know it's there and then not actually study or apply themselves. That would not be cool.

a $50.00 gift card to the craft store

see, i pay for it myself...it's hard to not do homework out of a book YOU paid 100 bucks for....

it's equally as hard to skip class when you pay for it yourself...

and you CERTAINLY don't get bad grades when you barely had the 2100 to go there in the first place...who knows when you can take it again?!

Your cholesterol thanks you.

yeah.....went to the dr. today and she told me i was getting a little 'chunky' :rotfl2: :rotfl2: i think she was being nice. i need to stop eating all that crap that steve likes.

so oatmeal, and up early to go to the gym....she told me i need to lose 20-25 pounds...

*sigh* here's a math equation for everyone

working all night + eating to stay awake = a bigger tara. bleh.

it was actually lucky charms, but bringing the leprachun in would have been far too complicated.

My point exactly. It means so much more to you when you have to work for it. You'll thank yourself in the long run.
