Well, I haven't really read anything....Just wanted to stop by and say hi!!!!

I will probably catch up later.
I have to get my kids dressed, we are headed to sesame place for a few hours.
Today should also be the Kids Workshop at Home Depot. I don't know if any of you have ever taken your kids. But they get aprons, and they get to build a small project, sometimes Disney related. We have mickey bookends, princess/buzz shelves, photo frames, pencil holders. Its a fun (and FREE ) project. ( FYI just don't try to go when the do the race car-tons of scout troups show up)

Do you paint all the stuff Alien Green? Have fun! What are the age groups?

 :welcome: to the party:! Don't forget to have her get you some LGMHPCs!!!

Yo!!! Ahhh......if I were you I'd go sleep now!!!!! Good luck on that Dec. thing - that wold be amazing!!!!! (I get 2 weeks off - our University shuts down....not too shabby - 'cept I have to use vaction to get paid for it...love working for the State...)

Take care!!! :sunny:

That's cool that you have 2 weeks off, but stinks that you have to use your leave to get paid. I used to work at a community college & we would just have the time off w/o pay. It was put into our contract like that. I'm off this year from 12/22 thru 1/2! :cool1: :woohoo:  :santa:

Ok my fellow lime green friends. I need an opinion on something. Dh and I are celebrating our second anniversary this May, and since the first one still harbored many bad memories and hard feelings from our wedding day it came and went without as much as a Happy Anniversary.

Well this year, since there have been many personal things we have been dealing with, we decided to try and go somewhere for our anniversary. Just us no children. I need help deciding where to go.

Funds are limited. I can go to FL and stay in our timeshare for 4 nights, got really cheap airfare, about 180 round trip for both of us. Buy 'maybe' a few days of passes to WDW. Problem is that when in WDW I would really like to stay onsite, but I have to give it up because the timeshare is free to stay in, and then my budget would go out the door. We will also be going to WDW in August.

Or, we could go to Las Vegas for 5 nights using the timeshare right on the strip. We have never been there before. However, airfare is more than double (as of right now, I will keep shopping).

Dh said he would rather go to Vegas, but FL would be OK too. Thanks for the help pal.

Where would you rather go? and possibly why? Also open to other suggestions :thumbsup2 Thanks all!

Hmmm, my first choice would be for you to come celebrate with us in November, tell your dh we'll give you a great party: !

What other places could you go with the time share? My first choice would be FL, but since you are going in Aug & you are trying to make this an anni to remember, maybe you should try someplace else. Good luck

Thought I'd check in & kill some time. Did tons of Laundry today, too bad it wasn't da fun kind. Four of the family just got up from naps, waiting for dinner to finish & dh to get dressed. We're going to the mall for some things, but they're taking forever!?!?!?!? Grrrrrrr

*sigh* It's my time to say good-bye to you all. Unfortunatly my parents said I can't go on the DIS anymore, starting tomorrow. So i'm going to miss you all!!

 I've had a really bad day today... :guilty:

Sorry about your day. Mine was sucky too, then DH and I went and volunteered at a day at the park. We gave out suckers, stickers, books and bookmarks to little kids, while other teachers talked to the parents about voting to fund the schools. Pretty sneaky huh? Don't those parents know to stay away from strangers with candy? :rotfl:

Since you have a trip to WDW in the hopper, I think I would go with Vegas. DH and I have done Vegas a few times without the kids, and it was great. You can get free tickets to shows if you go listen to a timeshare presentation (it's only cheap if you don't buy the timeshare, though). Also, at Caesar's, they have a club called Cleopatra's Barge, live band, dancing, no cover. We had the best time there. We do nickel slots, hang out by the pool, look for cheap shows (there are a few good afternoon shows) and eat a lot. There's a website called cheapovegas.com that's really funny and has a lot of good info.
Have you looked for deals on Southwest Airlines?

There are also places that you can buy show tickets the day of at 1/2 off. The big coke bottle down by MGM is one of them. Get there early and you'll have a good selection of shows if your not too picky. We were ok not going to see Celine or O so we did this when we were there last fall. Vegas is a great time just totally different than wdw.

We too only do Vegas without the kiddos. Although there is lots of activities for the kiddos it's definately an adult oriented town imho. Those guys handing out the stripper cards don't care if you've got kids with you or the guy is with a girl and they are everywhere.

No kidding! We also had drunks chase our son and a perv photograph our daughter's rear. That was the only trip where we took our kids, because we were going to a family party for DH's aunt & uncle's 50th anniversary. We've never taken them otherwise, and without the kids, we've had a blast.
