There's a great website at www.guysread.com. click on "Guys picks" and the age level, and it'll give you a whole list of fun books for boys. (Can you tell I spent years as a kids' librarian?)

Thanks - this is GREAT!!!!

Kathy ds 7 LOVES 'King Auther' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's written in lanquage thats a little "old fashioned" so we have to discuss a lot them....or , depending on my mood I just change them a bit as we read. We just finished 'TReasure Island' for the second time....that was a big big hit. We've done a couple of the Harry Potters - but will wait a while for another - he wont admit it but they are alittle too scary. We've started chronicles too! :)

Happy RAINY Friday :sunny:

Hi all. Mom's been home for a couple of hours. She did really well. They took some cancer off her arm & her thumb. Her thumb was kind of bad, they ended up doing a skin graft for that. So far so good, she has to keep her arm elevated, so it constantly looks like she's waving. She said when they were leaving the parking lot the attendent waved to her. :rotfl2:

GREAT news Mary! Still keeping you all in my prayers for a speedy recovery :thumbsup2

No, a little higher than that. I'd brag about my hour glass figure, but the sands are definitely shifting. :hourglass
:rotfl2: :lmao: Now that is just too funny! I always use that as an excuse as to why my bras seem to no longer fit and my pants have shrunk! :teeth:

:wave2: Happy Friday. Anyone out there gotta fork lift? Time for what Ben calls "the weekend of gluttony" :lmao: Thanksgiving Weekend for us. Good cause you get an extra day on Monday, but like some of us dealing with all that family is just toooooo much :scared1:
John has given me a hall pass so I don't haffa go to his parent's place tomorrow  BUT can't get outta my family since Nana is turning 85. Down we head to Toronto :car: to help with a gathering @ her church from 3 - 5 serving cake and coffee to peeps I don't know (very very hard for me to be with lots of folks I don't know) THEN off to a restaurant that, well, she likes ... that is HOW it should be since it is her birthday :bday: but i doubt my kids will. TOUGH suck it up it is only 1 meal right?

Hey everyone,

I don't know if y'all have already touched on this subject. I haven't been on to read all the posts in the past few days. But I've been listening to the reports of the Million Dreams Disney is doing. Wouldn't it be awesome to win on overnight stay in the castle?

I think it would be awesome to win anything! I did have some magic while I was there though, so that was real cool too!

Hi everyone. I have been super busy lately. I am at work again for a half day today :cool1: (more money for trip  ) then I will work again on Monday and Tuesday. With my dad helping a little I will be able to get Dh the camera he wants next week :woohoo: . Tonight I am having dinner with my sis so that we can exchange cd's of the pictures we took at WDW. I can't wait to see all the ones she took. Plus I will be able to add some to my TR which I plan to update this weekend. Oh and there are only 15 days till DH and I leave for our trip :woohoo: :cool1:  We are going to drive to Orlando a day early and stay at a motel just down the road that night so that we can check in at the resort early the next day and spend all day of our actual Disney vacation at Downtown Disney.

Nope, it's early Canadian Thanksgiving :) ! About half of the guys I hang out/ play hockey with are from Canada (the players from the local pro team are coming over too). The guy giving the party is from New Foundland, several guys from Ontario, Saskatchewen, Manitoba, & Quebec. We did have someone from B.C. up until two months ago but he's up in Dallas now.

You could try sending it here to southeast LA. We haven't had rain in two weeks and could use some.
