Help Pixie i'm scared for tomorrow

I think all kids are scared the first day of a new school year and adults are nervous when they start something new too, like a new job, or a new boss at work, but somehow it always works out! You'll be fine! I'm sending you some pixiedust so you have a great day! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

We did extra magic hours so got to BB early. We were just getting on our last ride/slide for the day when the rain drops started. We were all so tired
after four hours of sliding and swimming, we were about to go back anyway when the rain started. Good timing. I personally like TL better, but would do either....it is sooo much fun.

Love EE. We went to Animal Kingdom on Wed. Walked right on...It was just good timing because it was already 11:00 a.m. I think people were scared off that day because of Ernesto. My dd10 looked white (did not go on ride)
felt ill. My dh went back to hotel w/her and Me and Tot_Princess hopped over to MGM together. Walked on TOT twice and ate at the Prime TIme Cafe.

We went to AK on Thurs - someone even said the reason EE fastpass was out so fast was because everyone who didnt go on Weds went on Thurs instead. (That makes sense, since the biggest crowds we encountered we at AK on Thurs...) Hope DD felt better quickly.

Good afternoon everyone. I finally caught up on the posts; next job is catching up on trip reports. I know it's OT, but here's my Monterrey Hockey Trip Report (mostly for hockeymomoftwo).
Left Friday on the bus around noon from the Texas Border arrived in Monterrey around 2:00 pm. Everyone checked, ate, and rested. First game was at 6:00 pm. Played the Monterrey team and tied 4-4 (they tied the game with 20 seconds left) :sad2: . They're a good team; we've played them in the past and won and lost to them.
Before I go on I have to explain that our team has this tendacy to go out the night before games and do a little more partying than they should. You would think we would have learned our lesson after the last tournament. Well, we didn't and partyied (sp?) again  . I got home about 4 am and the rest of the guys were in by 6 am. Not looking good  :headache: :worried: .
We had two games Saturday. We lost 1-2 in a game we should have won, and won the other game 6-1. The drinking the night before played a big part in the loss. This put us in 3rd out of 4 teams in our group. As if the team hadn't learned it's lesson the night before several of the guys stayed out till 6 am and we had a game at 8 am :furious: .
Sunday I get up at 6:30 drag all my equipment together and head to the lobby. As I'm getting off the elevator I see a teamate with some girls getting into the elevator. The guy hasn't slept all night. He wasn't the only one either. At 7:00 the whole team, wives, and 3 new "girlfriends" are on the bus heading for the rink. The only good thing about this game was that we were playing the 3rd place team on in the other division. We won 8-0. Everyone heads back to the hotel to load up the bus and head out at around 4:30. We finally got back to the States around 10:00 (the border crossing took some time).
On the whole it was a great trip. I think we should have won the tournament (the team we tied 4-4 won it). We did have a blast though so I can take that away from it. Oh, I scored 2 goals and assisted on at least 3-4 goals :woohoo: .
Hockeymomoftwo they do have tournaments for kids as well. I believe we will try to have a tournament set up here in South Texas (youth and adult). If you are interested I can let you know when they do set up something.
Well, now I can get to reading real Disney TR.

Sounds like a great time. My Dh has done some of the adult tourneys that are sponsored by Labatts. (Cases of beer in the locker rooms after the games). Seems a lot more economical to just go and get tooted at the local bar but I understand the concept. I would love to have more info about upcoming tourneys. Some of our teams do go to Texas for tourneys not sure where. Glad you had a great time.

Welcome back to everyone. Can't wait to read the new trippies.

Any last minute advice for the first timer with kiddos? (other than rest in the day already got that planned).

We have a local adult hockey league here, no traveling just a local schedule. At the championship the winner gets the Stanley Keg! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Well state fair fiesta weekend(Pueblo Colo) was a really good warm up for us for wdw.

Things I learned.

Definately need a stroller for 5 y/o.

5 y/o will not be wearing his crocs. (I heard a bunch of wait there is my shoe).

I had a bag I was going to take in but have since decided to just go with a back pack and bagallini to carry everything.

Walkie talkies are a must forgot to take them and was really wishing I had them.

all that aside we had a good time

Don't overdo anything. SOmetimes the adults (including me) get so excited that we forget the kids can't go commando. I also think you have to stop for lots of snacks to avoid meltdowns!

VERY good advice! I got so rushed to walk onto Haunted Mansion (there was NO LINE!!!) at one point that I was literally pulling DS down the walkway and DH had to remind me we were there on VACATION!!! After that I relaxed nad took a LOT more breaks, etc. We missed a LOT - but, hey, that means we have to go back that much sooner!!!
