That happens to me sometimes! Especially if I hear lots of songs from when I was a kid that starts bumming me out. When I need to be cheered up I listen to either Christmas music or Veggie Tales songs! :teeth:

Well let's face it all the 70's songs are about DEATH! Season's in the Sun, Run Joey Run. PD plays them in the car just to annoy me.

That would absolutely rule!!! I would so be there...could probably help with arrangements for that one! I know Teresa is considering DL sometime in the future, and dwheatl is getting antsy for a trip, too, though they probably wouldn't be able to shake their men. That would be no problem for me, though...my DH doesn't want to go to DL for fun anyway. :rotfl:

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Say the word, ladies! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

The Word.

I drove for over 6 hours yesterday to Logan, Utah to take my friends kids to the dentist. So I went to Logan for that but we went shopping also. I noticed that there was a HD so I quickly cut a right turn and pulled into the lot. I told her to keep the kids I would be only a moment.

I ran in thru the exit and rapidly made my way to the paint deptpartment. I could read the big letters Disney but I didn't have my glasses with me. I saw for the very first time the most beautiful site. Hundreds of MHPC's! I found myself ready to cry at the site of the heads. I looked down and found about 10 shades of green and could not read the names. I picked up the first one and held it waaay out there and thought to myself, yes that could say alien so I took all but one head! Yes, all but one! I quickly had my treasure clutched in my hot little hands as I made a my quick exit for the door. My heart was racing and I was sure I would feel the hand of security on my shoulder but I had luck on my side this time and felt the rush of hot air hit my face as my MHPC's and I made it to the safe outside.

I flung open the van door to squel in delite to my passengers how wonderful it is that I had a handful of the most beautiful MHPC I had ever seen. My glee was met with blank stares. My dear friend looked at me as if I needed serious psychiatric help and asked what on earth was I doing. I immediate doled out heads to kids and we all played Mickey heads. For the next 2.5 hours all I heard was I need another MHPC for the back. I started to panic as I had to give my heads away to the deserving children! I only had a few left and they were mine, all mine, my teasure! The PC were cut off from the lovely children and I kept them next to me in the front guarded from the little hands.

After making the first drop off the children and parents I picked up my cell to check on my sweet mom who is 73. She drove the other way and did a 5 our trip to Idaho falls to get tile. She informed me that she went to HD and here is my sweet dear mom going up to the Disney paint section and she took every colour of green heads and chips they had! She even took the brochure on the Disney paint! How cute is that? Mom also loves the MHPC now and she doesn't even go to Disney but she said if that is all it takes to make me happy she will make sure she brings home as many as she can.

I love my LGMHPC and I have finally started my collection!

:welcome: Great story tacomaranch..

Good afternoon everyone. I finally caught up on the posts; next job is catching up on trip reports. I know it's OT, but here's my Monterrey Hockey Trip Report (mostly for hockeymomoftwo).
Left Friday on the bus around noon from the Texas Border arrived in Monterrey around 2:00 pm. Everyone checked, ate, and rested. First game was at 6:00 pm. Played the Monterrey team and tied 4-4 (they tied the game with 20 seconds left) :sad2: . They're a good team; we've played them in the past and won and lost to them.
Before I go on I have to explain that our team has this tendacy to go out the night before games and do a little more partying than they should. You would think we would have learned our lesson after the last tournament. Well, we didn't and partyied (sp?) again  . I got home about 4 am and the rest of the guys were in by 6 am. Not looking good  :headache: :worried: .
We had two games Saturday. We lost 1-2 in a game we should have won, and won the other game 6-1. The drinking the night before played a big part in the loss. This put us in 3rd out of 4 teams in our group. As if the team hadn't learned it's lesson the night before several of the guys stayed out till 6 am and we had a game at 8 am :furious: .
Sunday I get up at 6:30 drag all my equipment together and head to the lobby. As I'm getting off the elevator I see a teamate with some girls getting into the elevator. The guy hasn't slept all night. He wasn't the only one either. At 7:00 the whole team, wives, and 3 new "girlfriends" are on the bus heading for the rink. The only good thing about this game was that we were playing the 3rd place team on in the other division. We won 8-0. Everyone heads back to the hotel to load up the bus and head out at around 4:30. We finally got back to the States around 10:00 (the border crossing took some time).
On the whole it was a great trip. I think we should have won the tournament (the team we tied 4-4 won it). We did have a blast though so I can take that away from it. Oh, I scored 2 goals and assisted on at least 3-4 goals :woohoo: .
Hockeymomoftwo they do have tournaments for kids as well. I believe we will try to have a tournament set up here in South Texas (youth and adult). If you are interested I can let you know when they do set up something.
Well, now I can get to reading real Disney TR.
