Oh God, Cyn, dont get me started on the topic of GROWN 7 year olds!!! Mine had me in tears tonight - bleh! First he snapped at me for the way I said "hmm??" (trying to get him to repeat what he said - I do this alot as he mumbles terribly and I'm deaf in one ear...) !
That sounds like my 18 y.o. DS. I finally suggested he go pick on his father's shortcomings for a while. Not one of my proudest moments

I just got back from my meet the teacher night, and I didnt even meet my teacher.. LOL. i got into a new school, and im really excited.ok.kind of excited, ok, I'm dreading it. and what really hurt me, theres this clique, and im there number one target. :sad2: The oldest, walks down the hall and passes us, I smile, but my dad hears her mumble to the rest of her friends..thats jessie. They are going to make my middle and high school years MISERABLE!  :( :guilty:

 Aww that is soo sad! I want to let you know that I will at least be hear to listen :listen: When my daughter headed off to High-school she was dreading the change from junior high. Lucky for all of us though her big bro was there and they are bestest friends since there is only 2 years between them. The sad part happened when Ben & all of his friends headed off to College & University --- they were / are her friends as well! :teacher: Again I hope things get better and you find a bunch of friends soon.

That is just awesome. My daycare fostered a baby which turned right into an adoption when they legally could adopt. Good luck. I work with these babies everyday and it really brings me joy when a baby gets put in a loving home.

I have big Limey news to share with you all. Well its not really Lime news--anyway!

There's a new man in my life. :cool1: His nn is Dobie. He's 3 weeks old, just got released from the hospital yesterday! Hoping we can keep him & change his name to Andrew John. He's absolutely gorgeous. He's 6lbs, has straight dark brown hair & dark blue eyes that look like they might go brown. Everyone loves him, especially Stinkerbelle. Right now we're fostering him until hopefully we can adopt---so pray for us!!! It was a nice surprise for us yesterday! :goodvibes

Yep, that's the song. For anyone who doesn't know it, if memory serves me right our late young hero Joey got his gf pregnant & her daddy shot him. The gf is singing the song.

My sil had a song called Telephone Man by someone named Merrilee Weathers or something like that. Has anyone ever heard that, she claimed it was banned in PA.

Hey baby I'm the telephone man
I can put it where you want it
I can put it where I can
I can give it to you with a buzz
I can give it to you with a ring
If you really want I can give it to with a ding a ling a ling.

I remember this one because they played it on Dr. Demento.
"Singin' hey lolly lolly, get it any way you can."

And for morbid songs, you can't top
"And it was in the early spring
when flowers bloom and Robins sing, she went away.
And Honey, I miss you and I'm being good.
And I'd love to be with you if only I could."

Now that morbid.. horribly depressing song.. I love! It's called "Honey", and for some reason reminds me of the old movie "Love Story"

As long as we're remembering the tear jerker top ten list... I think I win with this lovely little ditty by Dolly Parton called "Me and Little Andy"
Quick backround:
In a horrible storm someone hears knocking at their door. They open it to find a little girl in rags.. soaked to the bone, holding a little puppy...

Giddy up trotty horse, going to the mill
Can we stay all night
If you don't love us no one will
I promise we won't cry
London bridge is fallin' down
My daddy's drunk again in town
And we was all alone and didn't what we could do
I wonder if you'll let us stay with you

She was just a little girl, not more than six or seven
But that night as they slept the angels took them both to heaven
God knew little Andy would be lonesome with her gone
Now Sandy and her puppy dog won't ever be alone

My little drama KING!!!!....well, he [ and I] did eventually calm down - if he's more dramatic at 12 I'll have to move in with Mickey permanantlyl!
They should get married. :) We'd be related!!! I think we should set up a meet! Too bad about society doing away with arranged marriages and all. :rotfl:

Actually a lot of the songs they are singing to are oldies remade. I love amazing my kids when they find a song they like & I know all the words.
My DS had me listen to a cover of "My Sharona" by one of his "scream-o" bands. Hey, don't tell ME about music, buddy! I was here first! :lmao:

I've got an eight year old to throw in the mix. I keep thinking his mood is just due to turning 8 or is it still a little left over tularemia kicking it's way out. He definately was easier to live with prior to it.

I loved that song big time. I think I still have it somewhere. the knack where are they now?

The only songs I remember with any clarity from Dr. Demento are "Fish Heads" ("Fish heads, fish heads, rolly polly fish heads. Fish heads, fish heads, eat them up, yum!") "Hamster Love," and "Dead Puppies" (which I hated). :rotfl:

I can't stand it, but mostly because it chokes me up. I'm a sucker for sad songs, and get all teary. My kids sing "Puff the Magic Dragon" to torture me because I tear up when little Jackie Paper grows up and abandons Puff. (I know that sounds like he went into rehab, but you know what I mean).

LOL.. yes current. I mostly listen to WZZO, but also popular music on Z100 (I like the Zmorning Zoo).

I'm sorry Dis.. I'm not as young as you (19), but I'm not old enough to be listening to the 'oldies' yet!

If you're crying over Puff the Magic Dragon... I'm thinking you need to do a bit of couch talking :lmao:

I can't actually say I 'remember it'... though I might, but I do know it. Not sure when it came out. I seem to know songs sometimes.. that I've probably never heard if that makes sense. I know songs from like forever old.. I mean older than my mother, and I sing show tunes that I've never seen...lol. It had always baffled my mom cause I've done it since I was a kid.

Daddy please don't, it wasn't his fault he means so much to me....
