our secret green club? Part 4

All right let me start off with the good news. Took Dobie to the drs today, that went very well.

On 8/23 he weighed 7 lbs & was 19" long. Da da daaaaaa(that was a drumroll btw!)

Today he weighed 8 lbs 10ozs & was 21" long. Still very small, he's in the 5 % of the country, but the dr is very happy. Poor little guy got 4 needles. He's been zonked out ever since-- on n off----can u guesss who's cryin now? he goes back in 2 months for another checkup & more needles.

every1 in the office fell in with him.

How could you not fall in with that baby. Dobie is so adorable. I can't wait to meet all of you guys.

here's how my day went .

dobe wouldn't sleep last night. stinkerbelle woke up in middle of night then fell out of bed coming to our room. we ended up keeping her home sick i stayed home too--thankfully!!!

all went well at the docs.

dh went to pick up oldest 2 then stop by the store on way home before heading 2 work.

dh called me, he forgot to go to store on way home so made a u turn & ended up with a flat tire--badly slashed flat tire. He ended changing it & came home.

His spare was low so he decided to use my van. Not even 5 mins after he left the house (I had just logged onto the DIS), he calls me. He was sitting at a light & got rearended. He was the fourth car to get hit & luckily he didn't hit anyone in front of him. My mom, Brandon, & Stinkerbelle had gone to the store, so she stopped by there on the way home. They were gonna take him to the ER so she came & got me so I could go too, also so they wouldn't tow the van. Thankfully the bumper is messed up & the door has some dents, but it is fine (this is our family car-- as in roads trips & any family venture).

When I got to the accident he was in the ambulance, but was refusing to go to the hospital. Ended up going ourselves after the cops released our car. Had to go to one way out of the way because ALL of the hospitals were jumping--even that one. He ended up with just major bruising. Oh & a cut neck. The city emts were taking care of him & put the neck brace on upside down--DUH! Luckily the county emts came to take over since the city already had another patient from the accident. Total 4 people in accident & all went to the same hospital. Have to get car tire fixed & van put in shop tomorrow.

Then at the ER ran into former BFF. Haven't spoken to this girl in over 20 years, we can't stand each other. Well she got mad at me for something that never happened than badmouthed me forever after. Thankfully we got waited on before she started work or she would have burried us on the bottom of the pile.

Then thinking things couldn't get any worse was reading newspaper to kill time, found out an old friend of the family died & was having a viewing tmorrow & burial Sat. Sheeesh luckily that seemed to end the bad luck streak of today, but I was sooooo afraid to drive home with that streak.

Ok sorry for the rant, but I figure I'd make you all feel better about your day today!

Just wanted to add that Dobie has his brand new Lime green sleeper on!

Hey y'all. Just wanted to let you know that you can sleep easy tonight. I had another thread jerked from some guy selling cell phones. The last guy, if you remember, was selling computer equipment. Both blatantly displaying a list of goods w/prices and phone numbers. This phone guy had 4 posts to his credit, the computer guy was on his first post. I don't know why I am becoming this thread sleuth, I keep going onto the Welcome Board..old habits...sigh....anyway...all is well now, the bad guys are gone...for now...

SB's mom sorry you guys had such a rough day, and about your friend passing away. Really do hope tomorrow goes much better. Very glad DH is fairly okay. That's what really counts right? The van & tire are a real strain overall, but can be repaired.

Well, this is taking forever to read because I keep stopping to look at TRs (not that I'm complaining). SB's mom, sorry about the "stuff" that happened today. Teresa, hurray for DL. Sorry I can't meet you there, but make sure you ride Mr. Toad (unless you're afraid of going to the "bad place") and Alice in Wonderland (but behave yourself. DH and I went on without kids, and a CM told another one, "Watch these two on the monitors.") Oh, and Indiana Jones (it's similar to Dinosaur, but way better) and POC (it's longer and much better than the WDW one). If you can, make ressies for the Blue Bayou. It's got the BEST atmosphere (because you're actually eating in POC).
Alright, can you tell I'm a dyed-in-the lime-green-wool DL fan? I need to go to bed so I can get up and deal with my students. And then, hurray for the weekend!

I've been crazy busy since we got back from Disney. I have 6 tap classes a week and then work. Oh wait, that should be the other way around! So pretty much, I'm never home. I'm still trying to finish my trip report. Oh yeah, those 2 pictures that we took with Disney Photo Pass, I got them yesterday! I have to find some frames to put them in!

Yesterday Evilangel cut out all the paint chips from the paper, and glued them back to back, so now we have double sided chips. Next we are going to punch o ring brackets through them, and string them so they can hand on thingsl like our pop door and our backpacks!
