I live in Alabama. Our 1st yr Anny is 19th!!

I don't mind driving!! Middle would be good too. We have to find a hotel with an indoor pool though. My anniversary is on the 15th of Nov and my bd is on the 23. 2 more reasons to celebrate.

November 11th is Veteran's Day!

Here we call it Rememberance day (gawd did I spell that right???) 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. That is when the "great war" ended. We are supposed to take 2 minutes of silence. When i went to school it was a holiday but no longer. I am glad because the kids need to learn the horror of war! Just think that the 1st World war was only called that AFTER the 2nd war took place. During it they called it "the War to END all Wars" <sigh>

HEY my b-day is the 23rd & John's is the 25th! --- wanted to get married on the 24th but in-laws said they wouldn't come (might snow!!!) Huhm shoulda done it anyway. It snowed to beat the band on the 10th and was sunny & very warm on the 24th

Like I said B4 -- was a good idea to have close to both b-days. We were planning on waiting till following July .... but since he stayed at my place until last bus left we figured there was no sense in paying rent on 2 places.

Our 1st anni card from inlaws had a comment written on the bottom "nice to celebrate a special occassion alone" Guess they figured we HAD to get married. NOT it took us 2 years of serious trying for Ben.

I know why you'll be celebrating, you have a big group, I have a big group, PD does too--- just think of all the laundry!!!!

Looks like Pittsburgh is about half way from my door to Va-Bear's door.

That's probably why we cover them in Old Bay so we don't have to look at them. In Maryland we don't boil the crabs, we steam them! Nothing is better, MESSY, but definitly yummy!

I think the ones that were given to me were probably steamed, now that I think of it. The girls brought them over in a big paper bag inside a couple of plastic bags and they were hot, but not wet...They had some kind of crab boil on them. DH wasn't home, so DS8, DS6, and I tried to figure out how to at least taste one of them (there were 13!), so after a lot of wincing, icking, and ewing, I managed to pull one leg off...that was too much work for a couple of little pieces..then I cracked the body and OMG, this yellowish crud came out and that was all she wrote...I tucked the rest of him back with his friends, tied them up in 2-3 plastic garbage bags, and put them in the fridge for DH when he got home the next day..He doesn't like to work that hard for his food, so he ate 4, then I gave the rest to the neighbor across the street. I guess half the fun of eating them and working so hard on them is socializing with friends over a bunch of crabs and an ice cold beer...too many legs....ick...

I am spoiled for Anniversaries I get to 2, offical with judge 31 March and 27 Nov. church (five years later inlaw did not attend church after making a fuss go figure.) first DD 2yr after 1 wedding. 28yrs
