LOL! Yesterday when I was in Golden Spoon buying my beloved frozen yogurt, the girl asked: "Do you want a receipt for that?" and I said "Oh, if ONLY this frozen yogurt were tax deductable!"

Yippeeee! 4 days!!!!! I just heard on the radio today how hot it is in CA & that so many people are dying from the heat that the coroners have had to double stack the bodies---- YUCK! They said its mainly the old people that don't want to open their windows & stuff.

Yeah, it's pretty yucky and this sort of thing isn't new here, unfortunately. The heat waves can be really brutal and seem to go on forever.

I think the weather in FL won't be so unbearable in comparison. It's been quite humid here in addition to the sheer heat. Yesterday we had a "Florida day": It was 95 degrees, 70+% humidity, and it POURED for about 30 minutes when we had a very loud and flashy thunderstorm around 3:00 p.m. I told the kids that they should consider it practice for our vacation...that's what's going to happen every day. They said "Eh, no biggie."

Next thing you'll be telling us is that Santa Claus doesn't have a snowy white beard and wear a red suit! I may need therapy!

Of Course Santa has a snowy white beard! But, he only wears the full red suit thing at christmas time... so if you see him off season, don't be shocked! Wouldn't want you to have unnecessary therapy

The thing I love about the secret green club is the team effort. I know how much eyeore has done to try to help me and I know that Cyn has been working on it for me and now anc96 has it. Oh I forgot Lizzy (sorry hon!) Thanks everyone...if now I could only get it on my avatar.

You know, My DS is 15 and dyslexic as well. He got Spanish lessons that he downloaded to his ipod and is doing AMAZING... I am quite shocked honestly. I always expect good things, but he has exceeded my expectations. His true motivation however is so that he can speak to the girls in the South American Tour groups at Disney, last year he almost forgot about Disney cuz of all of the time he spent googling the girls... hey whatever motivates him! I hate to break it to him that by the time we get there this year they will already be gone...

There will always be girls at Disney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woohoooo...I got my LGMHPC's today!!!! I called my DH at work to tell him that we now have ours. It made his day!! We have officially gone over to the PARK side!!

My DSM just got back from errands and handed me an envelope full of MHPC's. Unfortunately she told me they were all out of the alien green ones (I will use the other colors for a calander for DH to help him get more in the mood for Oct.)

WOW - 4 days I am SO excited for you guys!! (And I was in a good mood because I just told my coworker we had just 4 weeks left!!!) Funny you should say that. A couple of years ago we were of all places at HD. It was in the Summer. Well I saw a man I know that is Santa in the mall. He maintains the look all year round. He had his beard & red shirt, red shorts, & even red suspenders on. I was showing dd1 (dd2 didn't exist yet). Well she ended up (followed closely by her up until then disbelieving older dbrother) going around him & eventually speaking to him. He asked them if they had been really good. He told them he was there on summer vacation & that he likes to pop all over to check up on things. He even told them he drove a red truck-lol. They thanked him for all of their stuff they ever got for Christmas-lol. He told them since they were so nice they'd get lots of toys that year. DD1 was sooo happy she called my mom at home & started crying on the phone.
