With all the changes in avatars going on I decided to play around a bit. I tried to change Aurora's hair to LG but the image I had to work with was just too small to get good results so I settled for a LG background

My DSM just got back from errands and handed me an envelope full of MHPC's. Unfortunately she told me they were all out of the alien green ones (I will use the other colors for a calander for DH to help him get more in the mood for Oct.)

No problem. Have you turned your sister on the DIS boards yet? A friend of mine that I post with on another board has been lurking on here for a while & finally joined. Well her dh ended up joining because she showed him all the pictures of the food on the food thread to get him excited about the trip. LOL

Funny you should say that. A couple of years ago we were of all places at HD. It was in the Summer. Well I saw a man I know that is Santa in the mall. He maintains the look all year round. He had his beard & red shirt, red shorts, & even red suspenders on. I was showing dd1 (dd2 didn't exist yet). Well she ended up (followed closely by her up until then disbelieving older dbrother) going around him & eventually speaking to him. He asked them if they had been really good. He told them he was there on summer vacation & that he likes to pop all over to check up on things. He even told them he drove a red truck-lol. They thanked him for all of their stuff they ever got for Christmas-lol. He told them since they were so nice they'd get lots of toys that year. DD1 was sooo happy she called my mom at home & started crying on the phone.

Wow.. you were so lucky to have met him! Well.. especially your kids! I'm sure that will keep the magic so much longer.

People can't believe how my daughter still has the magic (she's 9).. but she saw Santa's boots while peeking under her door one Christmas Eve. Don't ask me how she could see anything.. but she REMEMBERS it.. and so I'm hoping to have that magic around at least through this Christmas.
The sleighbell (think Polar Express) that Santa gave her one Christmas engraved with her name and "always believe" also helps. She loves looking at it and hearing it tinkle..

Children really are the magic in our lives. As long as they have it.. we have it! I encourage it every chance I get... That's where the mutherland comes in!

Everyone like my new hairdo? Thank you anc96 who finally got me my green hair. As I told anc96, I can't believe what joy this brings me. I am sitting at my desk trying not to do a happy dance and bring attention to myself. Although I have my own office, my boss isn't far away. Of course if you new him, he'd probably congratulate me...don't want to take that chance though. Thank you all for your help!!!!!

Last I knew she was still earning her ears so I don't know how much she has been posting. I think she may have posted on this thread a week or so ago but don't take my word for it. She does spend a good bit of time in the restaurant forum and the tips forum.

Sorry to hear of this extra burden - as if he hadnt had enogh problems. I hope the bed rest helps. I remember way back when we were both brand new on these boards (OH SO long ago!! ) talking with you on a different thread about all this bad stuff - poor guy (it reminds me not to be too grumpy about the 3rd - and hopefully final - back surgery I need to fuse my entire lower spine.....bleh. But if it helps....and atleast the top parts still ok for me.) I will be thinking about you guys!!!!

Glad the campfire may be possible! and sorry I think I skimmed over this the first time though. when is this surgery scheduled? I hope recovery time is quick. THe continual surgery repeat is one of the reasons Chip wants to wait as long as possible to have any surgery on his back!
