I've been too busy to get back to HD (oh, the SHAME of it all), so we have to wait until there are few enough days left that I'll have other-colored mickey heads to handle it...but we *are* doing the Disney advent door. Might have to make a special trip to HD this weekend after all!

It all began on 5/2/06 with a simple question asked by our THREAD MUTHER, momandseandodisney: Does anyone put a green Mickey Head

on their hotel door?

The answer was HECK YEAH! DISers will use LGMHPC

for just about anything!

Some other questions people new to this thread might have are:

What is a LGMHPC

? It is a Lime Green Mickey Head Paint Chip, found in the paint sample section of HD. The OFFICIAL color of the DISboards is "Alien Green"

What is HD? Your friendly neighborhood Home Depot.

What should I call the people who work at HD? Normally they are known as "associates" but if you are swiping LGMHPC

, you have permission to call them cast members (as in "HD CMs") Pg. 32 post #468

Ok, so once I have swiped my LGMHPC

, what can I do with them? Well, new and imaginative ideas are always encouraged and must be reported immediately to this thread, but some suggestions are: 1) write your screen name on them 2) attach to your backpack, baggallini, or fanny pack 3) stick on your resort door to signify your allegience to the secret green club and DISboards 4) attach to your stroller 5) use as luggage tags - you get the picture.

That's sounds really cool Cyn. I will take some time later to look through and see what jumped out at me the first time I read through all of it. (I always ask my mother for "English" advice, oddly, since she was a French major!! But, unlike PD/Lizzy, she's not going to get on these boards anytime.... hey, I can use all the help I can get!!)

My boys LOVE our advent door (actually - we ended up putting it on the side of our fridge.... Disney advent fridge! ) The only problem is the 3 year is NOT loving when its not his turn ....oh well.....


Anyone here who's going to AK before Sept 30th want a coupon for a free picture on the Everest ride? I tried to help another person on the boards whose going this weekend and couldnt get the game to download. I got it for him but can not get the final page to email correctly (I think they've built in some extra encrytion or something?) He doesnt think it will arrive in the mail before he leaves this Sat. So, if anyone wants it I can mail it to you - snail mail.

Throat feeling better - though, sounds worse (funny, how that happens at the end of a cold...) But, now my co-worker has it....she's thrilled with me!

i dropped off the thread for 2 weeks, and there's no way I am going back to try and catch up! But I at least wanted to share with you...

I am about finished making the posterboard to hang on my door at POR on our upcoming trip (2 days to go woohooo)

I'll post a pic of it tomorrow - i used TONS of HD mickey heads! I've got the alien green all around the border of the sign, and multi colors in the middle for people to sign! My best friend has no idea I've done anything like that for her - she will be so surprised! hehehehe

OK, went to the Disney store last weekend, guess what they have now???? Lime Green Mickey Head antenna balls!!!!!! I think the folks at Disney have caught on to our club!!! I got 2, one for my car, one for DH's car. Bless his heart, he actually put it on his antenna. I guess he DOES love me, obsessions and all! (Actually I think he is enjoying this particular obsession, he just might be a closet case!!!)

I love your pirate ticker. I'll have to do one if I could ever figure how to get one to work. We were pirates at this house long before pirates were cool. Each year at 5 y/os birthday time family ask when the next pirate party is not when is the birthday party. Just celebrated 3rd annual pirate party. He goes on great treasure hunts with my bil and comes back with rum bottles and more bottle caps than you can imagine. (note to self when is that tetanus shot due). They are true pirates.

Wait a minute...the five year old is out looking for rum bottles????did I miss something???

I had a pirate party for DS6's 5th b-day..got some great hats at Party City, some pirate chests...found some gold coins, jewels(crafty things from $ tree), gold rings, and seaweed!!(dark green crimped shredded filling paper). I was thinking that a buried treasure hunt in the backyard would be fun, but we ended up at Chuckee Cheese, so maybe next year...They did the Pirate Cruise at the Grand Floridian2 years ago, they had a ball...so cute to hear them coming around the bend singing,"yohoyoho a pirate's life for me. Argh!

Since when did such low life criminal activity (pirating) become so glamorous?
