I hear you. My son has Autism.. and the older he gets, the less he is with the rest of the kids. He has been held back twice as he will be in school till he is 21 most likely. Sara has a HARD time with all of this, and add to that mean girls... sometimes the thought goes through my head to say to Adults when their kids are mean to mine, or teachers are RUDE... "Hey.... Lay off.. I have no problem going back to Prison".. Just to see the reactionBut then The Police and Social workers would come... so common sense wins again
I can at least relate and understand all of Sara's emotions with her brother, and her tolerance, embarrassment, etc... My brother had it. Joshua is High functioning, where my brother was NOT. No speech nothing.
Ok... I rambled... and shared more dirt and drama... sorry.
I pray Middle school will be great for both of us and our kids![]()

and we'll be done with middle school in a month. TInk goes to the HS next year, so I'll have one college kid and 2 HS kids.....amazing being as young as I am!

) She got a memory book at "graduation" where everyone wrote something about each one, and several said that she is kind even when others are mean to her, etc. She thought it was so nice that they said that, I just thought that if they think that, WHY were they mean in the first place... know what I mean?
