Family:
Grandma(me) and Grandpa
Son and Daughter in law
Daughter and Grandson(age 6)
Stayed 7 nights
3 Bedroom/3 bath
3rd bedroom- we had specifically requested a unit with twin beds- many have only the pull out trundle bed.
This place was beautiful. We had so much space. The unit has a full kitchen with granite countertops. (bring your own dish towels if you want any, and note they have no teflon pans)
Full washer and dryer. Full refrig. Microwave, toaster, coffee pot, mixer etc
Two of the bedrooms are full king suites. Plenty of space.
With a 4 or more day stay you are given a mid stay "refresh" where they replenish towels, paper goods, vacuum, change linens. We passed on this and grabbed a few extra towels. If you want daily maid service (why???) I believe you may be able to get it for an extra fee. We prefer to not have anyone going into the unit while we arent there, so we passed on the refresh.
While we spent little time here, (we were at Disney most of the time) we did note that there is a nice little general store where you can grab a bite to eat, a large zero depth entry pool, a pool bar, a game room and movie theater. Movies are shown 3 times a day, looked like 2 of them are kids movies.
We had a shortcut to Disney (thanks to these boards) and had no traffic to deal with. If you are familiar with where Orange Lake Country CLub is, this is literally right next door.
If you'd like to see pictures, go to Tripadvisor.com or you can even look on youtube and see some. They give a true representation.
I know many folks dont want to stay offsite, but for our family, we really prefer the space this place offers. I made it into a little bit of Disney by Mickey soaps and facecloths.
We would go back. I just hope they keep it up, as it is now only a couple years old, so still in good shape. We also stayed in a first floor unit which was fine, but next time I would ask for a higher floor.
Our only complaints:
1) there were no bedspreads on the twin beds. When we called to ask, we were told they had none. Upon check out the manager told us they are thinking of going to what other hotels do, with linens showing, and a type of spread only across thebottom. Great, but that didn't help us. We felt it made our daughter feel less impressed with our choice, perhaps less important if that makes sense.
2) wi fi access. They advertise free wifi. More like free frustration. You could connect but would get disconnected so often it was hardly worth the effort. The number to call for assistance was totally useless, and you'd be on hold for 30 minutes and still no one would come on to assist. Fine for us to not have access, we're retired and were only doing emails for leisure. Not so good for our son who really needed access for work. The manager did indicate that they would be getting some hard wired access in the business center in the future for situations like that.
3) It could use more seating space in the living room- it seats 5. Not enough for a 3 bedroom,(6 people at least) but since we weren't there much, it worked out ok. There are chairs in the king rooms that could be brought out into the living room if necessary.
