We arrived at Orlando airport on Wednesday October 20th around 4pm from South Jersey. It was just starting to get chilly here so what a joy to land & be WARM!
We got to Dollar rental to find out they did not have any more full size cars which was what I had reserved. So, after some chatting, DH hooked us up with a Minivan for the same price. I was thrilled...Online vans were almost $300 & I ended up with one for $165. Couldn't complain at all. We drove straight to POP Century. We were so excited we could hardly contain ourselves. We've been to Disney many times before but this was the 1st time we've ever stayed on site, Thanks to the email code! I had expected problems from DD since last year we stayed at Holiday Inn Family Suites Resort and she fell in love with it and INSISTED she wouldn't be as happy anywhere else. We were so happy with this hotel! We were in the 70's section right near the Mickey Phone. How nice to walk out my door & boogie to the BeeGee's. Before we even made it to our room, DH bought a refillable mug & I got each of the kids a starter pin set and a new holder for all our pressed pennies. How nice to have that room key to charge on! Dangerous, but Oh how nice!
We got settled in our room & went to visit friends that had moved to Florida last year. Had a nice dinner & caught up. Made plans to meet up the next day at Magic Kingdom. We made a Publix stop on the way back as we had reserved a fridge, so we were set when we got back to the room...No fridge still. Called down to the desk & within 5 minutes had it. Impressed by how polite & fast they were. Still so excited to be at Disney, we counted mice & slipped off to sleep dreaming of our next days plans at Magic Kingdom. We have an 8:20am PS at Crystal Palace. Must get to sleep.....
