Our Permanent Cards and Tote

We have a date of May 30th for our closing!!! Is that when they will send us a tote bag and permanent cards and a Pin???? I thought the tote was the bag that all the papers to sign came in. Is there a different one? inkbounc inkbounc

We received ours about two weeks after closing. Funny thing though, we got another set about two weeks after that. So now I have two sets of membership cards and two totes. Nice.

The one you got with your papers has a zippered closing at the top right? The one you get after closing is open at the top and wide, more of a beach bag (park bag! ). Welcome Home!

You'll only get the tote if your seller sends it to you!

These "gifts" are from the sales staff- not really a gift for joining DVC. Our dues don't provide these items, they are promotional items- a way to say "Thanks" from the sales dept. If your seller wants to say "Thanks" , he may part with the tote he got when he purchased.

Maybe we should add the tote to the offer as a condition of sale!

Yep, we got a zippered tote and our pins at signing, and we received two of the beach bag totes at closing. I told our Guide about it and she said it sounded as if the computer messed up. Worked in our favor.

When we signed the papers, we got the one that zippered at top...I thought that was the tote everyone talks about! I can't wait to get the actual tote once we close! How exciting! (its the little things make me happy, LOL!)

Our tote came when we received our membership papers. I thought that was the only tote also!!! This DVC just gets better and better each day!!

Thanks for all the info! I'M glad I'm not the only one who thought the bag with all the papers was the tote. Seemed to small to tote much.

Same thing happened to us - when we purchased at Disney we were given the zip top tote. After we closed we received the open top tote and membership cards. About a week later we got another box with another tote and set of cards... same membership number so I'm not concerned. Strange though huh? Now I have one bag for the beach this summer and another for our visits "home."

My guide called a few weeks ago to remind me of the price increase and I told her about my double gifts and membership cards. I asked her if that meant I got double points too. Like "NOT".

You might want to let your Guide know that you received two packages. I've read, on these boards,that the guides have to pay for those themselves. If the computer is messing up, then our Guides shouldn't get stuck with the bill.
