Just got back from a fab trip to Cape Cod, which is about an hour away from where we all are & discovered that a nice perk of not flying is having more flexibility to indulge in really nice restaurants and feeling no angst over Chilean Sea Bass or absurdly overpriced wine at a vineyard, "Would I like a ridiculously overpriced hoodie with your logo? Yes ,please!" Our next vacation dollars will be spent indulging with Gordon Ramsey's Beef Beef Wellington and the meal might run a night's lodging, but we don't need to pay lodging soooo it's on. Tinkering with the idea of Rhode Island, it's lovely and an hour away.
We are scheduled to do WDW at the end of the year but I am very wary of planes and waiting to see how people review how well the medical community manages travelers over the next few months. What I am looking for is stories about how conscientious airline X, airport x, hotel x is being and info about how easily care was accessed when mom/dad/son/daughter/grandma etc suddenly needed help. However, I am seeing no such stories and this gives me pause. I know it's happening because every stinking trip I took my kids on ended with an ear infection or strep so I expect a flurry so I'm stalled until I see signs of life.
