I always cry for MK ropedrop, so you are not the only one. It's so sad that this is coming towards the end. I can't believe it!

I'm the same way as you. Every Disney trip must start and end with the MK. It's the ONLY way to do things.

I LOVE Rope Drop at the MK. That silly little show always makes me tear up. And my sister and I like to sing along.

I'm not looking forward to riding the TTA and hearing the new spiel this summer. I will probably cry and mourn the loss of Mr. Tom Morrow.

A+++ choice at the Main St. Bakery. Those cinnamon rolls are to die for! It's like heaven in your mouth.

After singing with Pocahontas and answering that silly riddle that the spiel guy asks, we made it to the Toontown station.

The Pocahontas part of the train ride is my favorite thing. I will literally BELT out Colors of the Wind. It's probably quite embarassing for my family, but thankfully they put up with me.

And do you happen to mean, "What do you get when you cross Mickey's Toontown with a country fair? Why, you get Mickey's Toontown Fair, of course!" I am going to cry when they knock down Toontown only because they will have to remove that from the spiel!!

i was so excited to get on this morning and see that you had done an update!

magic kingdom's opening ceremony is my absolute favorite one! i'm so glad yall were able to see it that morning... and on an EMH morning, too! yaaay!

i've always wondered about the family of the day as well... are they pretty much like the first family to show up?

yall got a lot done that morning... awesome! the bakery sounds delicious right about now, too. i want a cinnamon roll! we're definitely eating there this summer!

Congratulations on making that rope drop! We feel like it is very worth it to get going early, do a bunch of things, then slow it down a bit or leave when everyone else is just arriving.

It's okay. I got chills just reading about it, because it truly is a wonderful time as you build up to the excitement of opening the Magic Kingdom!

I seriously love reading your TR's. SO great and relaxing... it's kind of like a good book... it's great and you hate to put it down when it's over but when you do, you're like, "dang that was good!" (John Lock said that recently on ABC's lost! and I'm also going to say it about your TR! LOL!)

ohhhh Tink I hear you about last days I get sad too. I think the WORST is when I'm checking out, and I hear people checking IN!!! UGH! lol you guys got so much done for being so early in the day!

Doesn't the MK opening show have that effect on everyone? My Mum and I always make sure our sunglasses are in place to mask the tears that always come. I agree with you that there is something very touching and magical about the show. I love the music they play after the countdown. Even singing it brings a little lump. i would love to get that music. Looked in the parks but couldn't find it - maybe next trip.

I can't believe you are on your last day already. You both seem to have had a lovely time just the two of you, although I am sure you missed having your family there. Nice to be able to do it both ways!

Aww I hate last days. I am pretty much the same way...hardly take any pictures and feel sad the whole day. I try to tell myself what your fiance told you that we still have the whole day ahead of us but sometimes that doesn't work.

As for the burning house I think I read in the Hidden Magic book they stopped that a few years ago.

I wish I had the ambition to EVER make a rope drop but it doesn't seem likely lol. I am NOT a morning person EVER... happiest place on earth or not... mornings and me = no good.

Reading your TR has made me decide that I 1. need to finish my honeymoon one and 2. will be doing one after our trip next week. I think my friend and I will write it together.

As we went over the bridge, I was sad to see that the burning building was still not burning. That was one of my favorite little things about Frontierland and it hasn’t been working for a few trips now. Does anybody know why?

Hey girl! I read in The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World (which I got thanks to you, by the way! ) that they got rid of the burning building a few years ago because of "pesky rules and regulations". Check it out, it's on pg. 37!

When DBF and I get to WDW by ourselves for our Disneymoon, I can't wait to be able to go to the parks more than once! It'll be so much fun to do the "slower" things like eating breakfast at the bakery like you did! Normally it's all about the rushrushrush! What a fun memory that must be though, to sit and enjoy the whole experience of your cinnamon roll!

I love Magic Kingdom's opening show and I am always holding back tears. Especially when Brooklynn starts to sing along with the big grin on her face.

I hope to one day be the Family of the day. We have been there before and seen them pick the family. I've got my fingers crossed that one day it will happen.
