~Our March 'Just Engaged',freezing,and full of surprises trip~Updated 6/23 p.76

What a beautiful morning! As much of a pain as it is to get up that early, there's soemthing special about seeing a WDW sunrise. So peaceful and quiet...

Ugh, LOVE the Poly! I wish I would've seen that coconut to mail last summer! I would have sent one to everyone I know! That is so funny!

That pressed pot at Kona is yummmm! We had a delicious breakfast there when we stayed at the Poly for our honeymoon.

Can't wait to hear about your day at Epcot! :thumbsup2

LOVED the early morning pics! I like seeing Disney all quiet and asleep :) I really need to make it to Kona for breakfast next trip. I have only been for lunch, and it's one of my favorite places to go. I can only imagine how good it'll taste for breakfast!

Ahhhhh i just love your updates!

All of the morning pictures of WDW are soooo beautiful!! The sun rising, peeking out from behind the CR. The boat and the Poly, the top of the WL...love it all!! :lovestruc

Girl, you know how much i'm im loveeeeeeee with the Poly...I loved all the pics there too! Ahhhh it's just perfect there if you ask me :cloud9:

I like your description of the angels singing when you ate the TT...it DOES taste that good :thumbsup2

Thanks girl. I can't wait to see it all with you!

I just love these pics from this day. I can picture us sitting on the monorail now!

The Poly is really amazing!

I'm glad you agree about TT!

How sweet that you got fastpass from the CM. No, I totally understand the Poly 'smell'! I love your photos from the morning of your ADR Breakfast..

Kona Cafe.. ohhh.. I"m so excited to try TT when were there
in August. Great update hun!

It really is worth getting up that early! We fell in love with getting up that early!

You'll have to get a coconut to mail in July!

Thanks. It was so neat to see WDW like that!

You really need to try breakfast there!

Awwww, awesome update!!! I just love looking at pics from inside the Poly!!! :lovestruc

I love the pictures of everything you saw along with your captions!

Haha, the coconut through the mail thing is hilarious! I can't imagine opening up a mailbox and finding a coconut in there!

That pic of you sitting by the waterfall and writing postcards totally screamed FACEBOOK PROFILE PIC when I first saw it!

Ooo, those whales aren't that big, are they? I read somewhere that there were whales at the Poly, and that was the one main reason why I don't want to go there for my future Disneymoon because I'm terrified of them! I hate the American Museum of Natural History in NYC because of it, and I also hate the part when the whale squishes Dory in Turtle Talk with Crush!

loved the update! ahhhh....MK first thing in the morning! that's the only park i will wake up early for. of course, i'll wake up early for tonga toast, too. glad you liked it. i've tried to make it home and it turned okay, but nothing like the real thing. and i love the pressed pot coffee, too....best coffee at disney, at least best coffee i've had at disney!

Hey girl, we are back! Time to catch up on your report. popcorn::

Great update. I really want to try Kona for breakfast. Your pictures while waiting for the monorail look so very peaceful. That is the way MK looks when we arrive in the morning. We usually do one morning with the girls in their strollers straight to Dumbo as soon as the rope drops and then another morning where they can watch the whole show from front and center and then head in.

Aw, thanks!

We couldn't wait for them to get it! HA!

They aren't too big.

Haha, I agree. The MK is definitely worth getting up early for.

Where did you get the TT recipe? Is it in one of the WDW cookbooks?! If it is, then I have the recipe at home!

Hey, can't wait for your TR!

Kona is so good for breakfast. It was a great way to start the day.

I can't wait to show the rest of the family the MK that early. :cloud9:

I  WDW early in the morning... so peaceful. I've never had anything to eat (or drink, for that matter) at the Poly... maybe on one of our summer trips we'll make it over there to try Tonga Toast, or a Lapu Lapu, or both! (but, uh, not at the same meal.... well, probably not, anyway! :rotfl: )

I have NEVER had tonga toast but all this TR i read talk about it... What exactly is it (:scared1: I know a diser who doesn't know... the shame!!)

A coconut in the mail?! How does that work?!

And I am so not a morning person idk how you got up that early haha it is unrealistic to me. I don't even know how I manage to roll outta bed and get ready for work when I am home. As much as I SAY we are going to get up early in Disney.. it has yet to happen!

Great update!

Hi! I just found your TR & read ALL of it so far! lol For some reason, I've been doing that alot recently...I find a report waaay late & end up taking hours to catch up! :lmao:

Here's what I have so far...

1) LOVE your Disney Dooney! I had my mind made up on the Disney Wonder Tassel...BUT I've seen the white tote in about a million trip reports & now I'm torn between the two! lol I convinced my DH it should be a Birthday/Christmas present (my bday is in October)...I was shocked when he said "yeah, I've been saving up for it!!!" (He's very cheap, so this is a huge shock & surprise to me...but a good one!)

2) I HATE elevators too...I've been stuck in 2 of them throughout my life & it is NOT a fun experience. Now, everytime I get into an elevator, I tell everyone thats in there..."You just got into the wrong elevator with the wrong person...I get stuck in them all the time." I get some interesting looks from people! :rotfl2: But joking aside...it is a terrifying experience to be stuck in an elevator...luckily both times I was with a friend & both times we were stuck for less than an hour. Still NOT FUN!!! :scared1:

3) Pop Century looks really nice! What a great view you had! I decided if we ever stay there, I want to look out & see Pac Man every morning! I think that would be neat! I also love the new flat screen tvs in the refurb rooms!

4) It was nice to see your photos at the parks to see what is currently being refurbed. I love how Disney put up the Walt Disney quotes! I love reading them!

5) Wow -- those are some crowded parks!!! Last year, we went at the end of March & we really didn't notice it that much. It wasn't that bad unless a show or ride was just letting out. But then again, we didn't ride any of the really popular rides because our son was only 10 months old & terrified of everything! We really only noticed the crowds during parades & fireworks...oh, and on the buses!!!

6) What a nice surprise for you from your parents & sister!!! I loved the basket, wine glasses, & just how sweet they were for surprising you! :)

7) CONGRATS!!!! on your engagement!!! What a great place to celebrate an important time in your life!!!

You have to check out the Poly places! I do recommend the Tonga Toast AND the Lapu Lapu. I'd say have the Lapu Lapu and go sit on the beach to watch Wishes! :thumbsup2 It is pretty strong to have for breakfast.

Tonga Toast is banana-stuffed sourdough bread, rolled in cinnamon sugar. It is warm and SO so SO good!

We were so confused about the coconut too! It's already pre-stamped...ready to be mailed and everything! They just sent it the way it is!

Haha, I am SO not a morning person either. This is the first trip that I have been up this early in a LONG time. It is so worth getting there early though.

Props to you for catching up! :worship: And welcome!!

I hope you get your Dooney purse! Whoever thought of it was smart!

Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one deathly afraid of elevators. Just promise me I'll never be in one with you!

Pop was surprisingly nice! I definitely recommend it over the All Star Resorts.

The quotes were really a nice touch to the refurbs. I'll have new refurb pics after our July trip for you!

We were smart and took advantage of FP's! The crowds were nothing like what we're used to in the summer though.

The basket was such a nice surprise! And thanks! It still doesn't feel real sometimes!

Love the early morning pics!!!! Everything looks so calm and relaxing!!

I'm glad you like the Tonga Toast!!!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I am also glad you ended up with a good waiter! Wait till you hear about the one we had there.:mad: :headache::headache: :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

What a lovely start to your morning! I think it's kinda funny you are always up before the alarm! You sound just like me- anxious to start the day, whatever it may hold!

Such pretty pix of the morning too! :cloud9: I can't wait for my breakie at Kona. But no Tonga for me. You can have all those icky bananas all to yourself. :lmao:

I think your DF has quite an eye for getting good shots. I like the one of you writing your postcards. A nice moment captured there.

I love those early morning shots. Is it funny to say that I hear the quiet? I can put myself there and feel the freshness of the new day....Great, great pix.

I hope to get to spend more time at the Poly someday....ahhhh Tonga Toast....can you believe it's not my favorite? Me too. I shocked myself. Maybe I'll have to try it again.....

Oooh, tonga toast. We never got a chance to try it our last trip, so we are hoping we'll get it in this trip. All depends on how early our little gal wakes up. Although, I think I would be just as happy with your fiance's breakfast too.

Love the photo of you writing your postcards with the waterfall as the backdrop. So pretty!

Delectable update!! I just wanted to jump into the picture
and have some of that delish tonga toast, that stuff is to
die for!!! YUM!!! Poly is so pretty...wish I was there right
now!!:goodvibes

What a great start to your Disney day! I love all of the early morning pictures. The sunrise at Disney is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! Seeing pics of the Poly make me so excited for our breakfast at 'Ohana!!!! I even have special paper and stickers set aside for scrapbooking my Poly pics!:rotfl:
