Nice update!
Stayed at the Poly my very first trip, and staying again, finally, with my sis this september, love the smells in that resort.
All the smells of disney. Love em all.

Disneyland Resort doesn't even compare to WDW, BUT it IS the original. There are several attractions here that the MK doesn't have and Pirates is waaay better in CA than in FL. Of course there's no AK, DHS or Epcot...or cool resorts (with the exception of the Grand Californian)

Yeah..I'm sure it doesn't compare to WDW at all. I just think it would be cool to see the original!

I like this picture a lot. Something about the sky and the trees...

I've never been in the Western scene either, Ramon (DH) and Miren (DD6) saw it once - we go on that ride A LOT! It's one of Miren's favorites!

Funny about Full House: Miren has just discovered it within the last month or so on ABC Family and she is hooked! She DVR's it and a few weeks ago they showed the Disney episodes! She watched them everyday...unfortunately they got erased b/c we went away for spring break and we had so much recording and not enough space.

I'm loving all the surprises you guys are getting!

There's a certain deoderant that I wear from time to time that triggers a memory for me every time I wear it. I know, I know! No one wants to talk about deoderant, but I can totally relate!

And you are right - Disney is very smart to use smells as a trigger to make you think of it again and again and want to go back!

OMG that's how I am about my perfume. Every WDW trip, I buy a different perfume to wear just there. I usually have some left over, so I finish using it when we get home. Every time I use it, it makes me feel like on vacation.

Hm..I'm trying to remember if there's windows all the way back on that wall of Kona. There might be. If there are, you should be able to see at least a little of the monorail if there are not trees in the way. I'm sure you could ask/request it!

There are certain scents from WDW (like the Poly one you mentioned) that I just wish I could bottle up and take home with me! I love the smell of Splash Mountain, just makes me so happy!

Brown Derby sounded amazing! I never realized how pretty it was inside, I must put it on my list along with Mama Melrose.

Great little surprises throughout the day and how nice that you were able to catch Wishes. That is the BEST way to end any day at WDW!

I haven't been to a lot of resorts. My family never went resort hopping when I was little. I've really only been to the resorts I've stayed at (Pop, All Star Mu, and the CR). We also ate at the GF once. I know...nuts, right?

catching up with your report has brightened my day! i'm stuck working on essays and papers all weekend!

I love DHS, it's definitely my favorite park after MK. My ex and I ate at the brown derby a few years ago with the fantasmic package and I wasn't really pleased with the food, but I probably just made a bad choice. I'll have to try it out again whenever I get around to going back. My favorite is the sci-fi dine-in, but I guess I can't say that until I get around to trying all of them!

I can't wait to read more!

Yea my husband got me the purse for xmas. I showed him the thread about it on here and he went through ALL the posts to get the number and exact info he needed to order it for me. My students know how much I LOVE disney (our first bulletin board of the year was disney related and I have tons of disney things in my class) and they saw my purse this week for the first time and said WOOOOOW that's a nice purse... one little girl said (they are in 3rd grade) "Mrs. S did you color that purse in?!?!" haha I had to explain that it was a special disney purse lol

Great update! I had no idea Aaron Kelly got the golden ticket from the AI experience (and I watch Idol, lol, must have missed them mentioning it).

I love visiting the Poly; I really hope I get to stay there someday And your drinks look so good! I like that Kona doesn't skimp out on the alcohol, but doesn't overdo it either. It's a good mixture of both, although I find the lapu lapu is pretty strong- I can never finish it!

I couldn't agree more with you about the smells in WDW, specifically the Poly! Did you know that the bakery on Main St. actually blows out the smell of fresh baked goods so that way it always smells so delicious? Learned that on the KTTK tour

That's so cool that you guys got to see Wishes from just outside the MK! I didn't end up getting pictures when we watched it in February. I just watched it and cried. The guy standing next to us proposed to his girlfriend right before it started so I was more teary than usual

I think I mentioned on here how much I loved your bag -- I'm getting the wristlet! I finally settled on the black one with the multicolored Mickey silhouettes...I'll probably end up with the white one at some point, too.

About the smells!! I HAVE to jump on this bandwagon... I love the smells of all the water rides... POTC, IASW.... and some of the others have a distinct smell too.. love! totally makes me crave more... those sneaky Disney engineers!!

I love the Poly smell too! And the smell of the water on any of the boat rides (Pirates, Splash, etc.). It is just so distinctly Disney. Great update!! Those drinks you had sound SO yummy!
