Our Magical WDW Adventure ~ 23 Days of Fun, Food, Cocktails... London Trip 2/8

I'm sure it'll all work out with the dining! It's frusterating but at least you're not the only one. Since no one can make ADR's yet you know you're not missing out on anything! That would be the biggest thing for me, freaking out over everyone else being able to call and make ADRs and missing all the ones I wanted  Are you feeling better?

Sophie is just so sweet! We are down in Ohio now visiting with Justin's family for Christmas. When are you going home?? Are you going to be there for awhile, or just a quick trip?

Hows the weather in Ohio then? I hope you are having fun there :goodvibes

We are traveling down to my Mum's after Nick has finished work tomorrow. That means we will be leaving our house about 10pm, and arriving at my Mum's about 3am :scared:. Apparently my older sister is so excited and is going to wait us for up so she can get us a cup of tea ready, although I am sure we will just want to collapse into bed. But by going down tomorrow night means we miss the holiday traffic and means we get to spend the whole of Christmas Eve with my family, not stuck in a car.
We will be down for Christmas Eve, Christmas day and Boxing day then Nick is coming home as he has to work and I am staying down for a few more days. Then Mum and Sophie are coming back up to mine for a few days for New Years Eve. It should be nice as I get to see all my family

Yes, I am nearly over my cold/flu, but now I have really hurt my neck so am finding it hard to pack/clean/wrap presents. It just seems to be one thing after another conspiring against me at the moment :sad2:

Well guys I'm just finishing up wrapping a last few presents whilst watching a few films on TV. The Cat in the Hat was on just now, I have never seen it before and have to admit I actually really liked it. Its so bright and colorful and I loved the little adult jokes in it, especially when they plus Universal . And now I'm watching Return to Neverland. It seems to be a lovely film, and again is getting me right in the Disney spirit (oh and drolling over Jonny Depp, he is so nice). These films are making me so excited abou our holiday... not long to go now...

I LOVE Return to Neverland! I bought it on DVD a few years ago, I loved it so much. And Johnny Depp... you just can't go wrong with Johnny Depp ;) What happened to your neck?! Did you hurt it or did it just randomly start hurting? The past few days I've had the WORST neck pain, right in the back of my neck. I think it was just a side-effect of whatever virus I had, but it's better now. I hope your neck feels better soon!

I've always had a kind of weak neck and yesterday I was in a rush to get ready and knocked it backwards. I think I pulled a muscle and could hardly move it yesterday, but overnight it has kind of spread all the way across. Its more irritating than anything as it makes everything hard to do.

OMG I cannot believe Kate Winslet just died, this film is just really sad :sad1:. But it is really beautiful too, I loved when he took all the orphans in to watch the opening night, they were so cute. See thats what I think JD is like in real life :thumbsup2

Well I have just finished packing up the car, well apart from the suitcase as I have left that for Nick. So hopefully as soon as he gets home from work tonight we can get on our way. I'm am not really looking forward to the journey, it is so long and boring, but I know that at the other end my family will be waiting for us. Anyway my Mum doesn't have wireless internet, only dial up and the connection is a bit iffy, but hopefully I will still be able to get on. Just incase I wanted to wish you all a very merry christmas now. So....

:santa: HAPPY CHRISTMAS :santa:

I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas, and that you all get all you wish for. Have a great day everyone, and thanks for joining me :goodvibes

Merry Christmas to you too!! :santa: Hope you got to your mom's safe and sound! Enjoy your cup of tea with your sister and have a great sleep!!! Enjoy this time with your family!

Today in Ohio, is not too cold. Just below freezing. With the temps we have had here lately, that is actually quite tropical. :rotfl: When we left Chicago on Sunday morning it was a high of 2 degrees Fahrenheit!!!! With a wind chill of -25. BRRRRRRRR!

Merry Christmas to you too! Have a magical:wizard: time at your Mum's and with your family and Nick! Take care!! :wave2:

I love "Happy Christmas!" It sounds so different from Merry Christmas  Have a safe drive down and an amazing few days with your family. HAPPY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Thanks everyone :goodvibes

Well we made it down to Devon safely. Nick got home from work a lot earlier than expected which was good as it took forever to get the last few things packed up and on the road. We managed to make it to my Mum's by a much more respectable 1am, and Kate and Mum were still waiting up. And then Sophie woke up so we all had cuddles and laughed about Christmas, it was really nice. This morning my Mum had to work for a few hours so we had a bit of girly time watching old home movies. Then when Mum got home we all went out for a really nice lunch at our favorite local pizza cafe. Were now back home watching the rest of Polar Express before helping Mum finishing some baking and then settling down to watch some more Christmas television. So...

:santa: Happy Christmas Eve :santa:

I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas eve :thumbsup2

Happy you made it there safely! :car: (Nick in his convertible :lmao: )

Oh....I love Polar Express too....I can still hear the bell! :rolleyes1

Happy Christmas Eve!

I know I have said this before but now I am saying it for real, so...

:santa: MERRY CHRISTMAS:santa:

Hope you all have a great day.

He he another one of those language differences. When I first read it I wondered what you guys say instead, and then read a few posts up. Its what we generally use over here, the majority of cards say 'Happy' rather than 'Merry' and most people say it too.

I don't think they are taking ADR's till mid-January. I may try and phone in the next few days and will keep my ears open and if I hear anything I will let you know :thumbsup2

Thanks Ariel! I'm glad that you made it to your mom's house safely. How far of a drive is it for you? I have a 13 hour drive to my mom's house. So, needless to say, I didn't make it there this year. It's too cold and the weather has been bad.
Hope you enjoy your time with your family!!!

Thanks guys :goodvibes. The drive isn't that bad, its only 4-5 hours but its so boring. 13 hours though, that can't be fun at all.

We had a great Christmas and boxing day. I got some lovely gifts and had loads of yummy food. I haven't got much time to update at the moment as we have guest coming over in a minute but Sophie and I are going to be home alone together tomorrow so I should have time then.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, speak to you soon :goodvibes

You will have to explain Boxing Day when you have a chance. I think you've explained it before, but I've forgotten. I'm glad that you had great holidays'. Sophie will love spending the day with her big sister tomorrow. Have fun with your company!!!

Yes I definitely will, we plan to watch some of her new DVD's and play some games. And yes I will fill you in on boxing day.

Merry Christmas!!!! I'm glad you are enjoying the time with your family!

Merry Christmas!!! How long are you staying at your mom's? Hope you got some wonderful gifts and enjoyed your time with family. I can totally understand the boring drives. I drove home yesterday from DH's family's home in Ohio and it is SO boring! I absolutely hate it!
