So I was told today that once you have an ap linked to your magic band you can make FP+ rather you are staying on site or not. I think I'll do a little playing around on the app and see if it'll let me. Now that will be cool for Dec when Janet, Rosie and I are staying at the timeshare. Did you all know right now room keys from years ago work for getting paper fast passes? It's crazy! It's so slow that I really haven't needed them.

And in case you are wondering it is HOT!!! Let me repeat that .... HOT!!!

Oh that is awesome! Thank you!! I have to wait to link my AP's until I am up there and exchange my renewal certificate. I can't link my existing AP's because they expire before we check in at Pop, so it automatically kicks those AP's out

I had no idea that you could use old room keys for FP. Then again we don't generally use FP because we use a GAC for Steven. But I would really love to try the BoG FP and the parade and wishes FP. And with the possibility of the GAC changing, knowing I can use alternate sources for FP could prove to be very beneficial.

Candace 2 Weeks! Get packing! I felt guilty when I did Disney with a friend and my Boys were 27 & 37 I could never have gone away when they were younger but that is just me.

Melissa Bob never liked the look of the Values when they first built them I almost convinced him to stay in a LM room at AOA when they offer FD until he found out no coffee pot in room

I almost think My DS hit Sports at a bad time it was in Feb and he said food court was too noisey/crazy same with the pool

I do hate the food courts! I think I am just going to bring stuff for breakfast so we don't have to deal with it. And WHAT, no coffee pot in the room???? Thank goodness I bring my travel Keurig wherever we go!

Yep, had it over a year. Comes with us to WDW, my parents house, beach vaca, etc. that way I know we are always going to have a good cup of coffee to start our day fits perfectly into a reusable grocery bag with a few k-cups, creamers, etc. One of my best purchases!

Add me to the I hate 4th Grade club PLEASE HRH struggled the end of last year, and she is already overwhelmed Poor thing. Her teacher has a child with Asperger's so I am trying to keep an open mind. It's just the work is a challenge and I have already seen a decline with her behavior (she shuts down when she's anxious or upset)


The whole method of teaching seems to change year to year, or so it seems! UGH

4th grade stinks. Daniel has already missed a day. I had to keep him home because we had an episode at therapy last night in the waiting room, because of course two kids from his class had to be there. One is his arch nemesis from last year (who Daniel had kicked in the head ) and this other little beast who kept trying to get the other kid to fight Daniel. To make the situation even better, my mom had brought him because I was at work, and they had to wait over 2 hours which led to an epic meltdown. I just thought it was best to keep him home today. I didn't want the stress of last night to carry over into class today.

April needs to get here NOW! The kids and I are alone this weekend so Danimal and I are getting all our ducks in a row, so to speak. We are both super excited!

We had a very VERY good day here today. Walked around the neighborhood to a few grocery stores and the deli, came home for lunch, then played outside, and I treated the kiddos to pizza. Everyone has been very happy all day. Days like these are rare, so I am basking in the glory of peace.

See we have never done a value. Starting off Deluxe was not the smartest thing to do. But I was saying to DH, Ummmm we are doing a cruise first....do we really need to do a deluxe with CL too???

If it makes you feel better, our first trip was a value/deluxe split. At the time, it was just Danimal and I and the value was fine for us. Our second trip I wanted to upgrade from value without spending deluxe $$ so we did CBR and we totally loved it. It's one of our favorite places we have stayed. However, with Lily and the stroller and all the crap you have to bring for two little ones, deluxe just works better for us. I also like having queen sized beds since Lily still sleeps with me, so CBR and values are out. Looks like I will just have to stay at the Poly FOREVER

DH is home....he proceeded to remind me of....walking to Epcot, the boats (which I love immensely), not using all buses, the whole feel of the area, etc. etc. Sigh....he thinks I was just bored today, not true at all! I jus Dis I between tasks. Honest.

When we go to World Showcase while staying on the monorail, I always take the bus to DHS and then boat to WS Does that sound lazy?
Daniel whines SO much about the walk from the front gates to WS (it really is a long walk, and very minimal shade), and I like riding the boats, so I don't mind that it takes us a while longer that way.

do you live in Boca? When we were visiting my mom, my hotel was in Deerfield, just off Hillsboro. Boca was just up the road. Went to Nordstrom Rack, lol.

We stayed in Pop our first night. I knew we weren't going to be in hotel much. Had TL day after we checked in. Then Publix shop, dropped off groceries at YC to hold till our arrival. Then we were planning a DHS night. But we pooped out, and just went back to Pop and slept. We were up at 5:00 am to get an early start on the Turnpike.

Really, it wasn't bad. We were in bldg 6, last room, ground floor, by lake. Too bad the buildings have no lake views!
I thought the beds were very comfy. It was just me & daughter. So I had the bed to myself.

If it were just my son and I again I could do Pop again, but for all 3 of us I just can't.

It is 10:00 and my 2 year old is still awake...

Lily was up until after midnight last night, and I have no idea how as she woke up at 6:30 am yesterday. That's a LONG day for a 2 year old, and for me! I was exhausted.

Thought it was odd I was able to make FP+ selections yesterday. Have no clue what I'm doing with that. Need to sit down and do a bit more research on what we've got planned.

Logged in this morning to be able to customize our MagicBands! Wooooot! I'm going to pick pink for Miss M -- wanna take bets I pick the wrong thing?

Also, anyone with Disney Infinity, you can get some special hoobiejoob if you so something or other with the band and the game -- get a dragon or somesuch?

Will be back in a jiffy for a real reply.

I might be in the minority but I don't really want the Magic Band right now. That's why I have not linked my tickets. I am thinking of this as my last trip "the old way", and because we are only there for 6 days, and it's very Food & Wine intensive, I don't want to schedule any FP's. (We only have 1 ADR, and that's Raglan Road on our arrival night). I just don't want to.....

But, I'll jump on the bandwagon in preparation for our August trip. I just want to be free for one more trip.:

As of now if you are at a test resort they will give you a MB at check in if you haven't ordered one ahead of time. It will be gray. They will also give you the standard room key in case the MB doesn't work. I' ve been doing a little testing. I've scheduled my FP+ with the MB, used my current room key, my AP card and get this I've also been able to use my old expired room key for FPs. So in if I wanted I could have 7 FPs at the same time! Now I haven't done this cuzz it's such a slow time I really haven't needed many FPs at all. Also I'm now at OKW which is not a test resort but my magic band stll works. It's crazy! :

jenny I would give anything to not need to use one. My COPD got really bad during our trip to Vegas iby time we got to DL we borrowed a WC to use then in 2009 we borrowed a WC at OKW but both those times My DS and Ddil were along to push me, I had to rent the ECV last year no way Bob could push me around the parks.

Enjoy life to the fullest jenny while you are young, your DH is right you need to treat yourself. You never know when Fate will raise its ugly head?

Wow! POFQ is getting magic bands now too???!!! Yippee! I check in to POFQ on dec 5-9 before that though, I'm at pop on dec 3 and POR on the 4th (both current testing resorts) but I haven't received any message to add my magic bands yet??? Still too far out I'm guessing- I want a pink one though and not the ugly grey one!

Marie: I do not want an ugly grey one either! No way! hope everything is well with you.

Jen - you totally deserve BWI CL, do it now, you never know what tomorrow will bring! And like everyone said there is just something so magical about the Epcot resort area!

There was a special villain thing at HS tonight for Friday the 13th. The traffic was so bad getting into the park that people were sitting or standing on busses for 2 hours!!! No way! Not me! My little boat ride to DTD was very nice and relaxing!

Magic - I really want to use the FP+ for parade viewing and wishes, my AP's are screwing up my FP+ selection window, so I have to wait until we are there to make my selections, so not sure what I will be able to get. I am there Sept 27-29, meeting Ginny and Canadace that weekend And then back Oct 4-6 for F&W and meeting Lacey What weekend in Oct are you going?

OK so I really must catch up on this FP+ stuff... you can get a FP for Wishes and the Parade... special viewing areas I assume? .....I am at WDW weekend of the 11th. Are you going alone, with DH, or with family for each of your 2 trips?

We Floridians think we've had a cool spell this past week since the humidity went down to 45% and 50%. Unheard of for this time of year. My legs look like alligator skin already. ....So GG, I can use an old plastic key card to get paper FPs?
