PAS WOW! Congrats on your change to BC!! soo exciting that you are joining us, I am happy to be anyone's inspiration Yes, you are lucky you are muuuuch closer than me, if I lived in the states I'd have a much bigger addiction to try and tide over, so many flight options!

I am booked at a royal room at POR on the 4th, a tad scared because Christine just told me about those POP Warner kids! EEK! I hope it's not mass pandemonium after the 5th! but I can't afford to go somewhere else, I would have loved BWI Deluxe room My POR rate was with the DEC discount, $252, and I'm splitting the cost with Rosie, so it'll be doable... but I will sure miss the Deluxe conveniences. I am excited to try a MOD though because when ever will I get another opportunity to try one? My family does deluxe, and so do I when the price is right, unfortunately not the case for me right now!

I am so happy to hear Miss M has been spared, and happy to hear she is doing well and enjoying her new classmates. I do love her photos on Facebook. She is just so adorable!
I really enjoy the mods. We have done CBR and would do it again in a heartbeat, although I know it isn't everyone's cup of tea. For us, it's like Poly Lite

Dani I've never stayed at CBR but the grounds look beautiful and very Poly-like

Yeah...I called and ended up at Sugarloaf!! Seriously, the CM is a HUGE SL fan, and I went right along for the ride. Actually initially changed to TPV (non-CL) and called right back and changed I didn't love YC CL...and I was fine at BC....BWI CL was available as well

Family drama is very draining.


I was surprised at how many people on my FB page couldn't believe how much luggage we were taking. It's only one bag per person.

I plan on trying to check in, but I don't know how to post pictures from my iPhone to the DIS. If someone would move them over, I could post some pics on the FB page.

I'm glad your happy with her teacher. I can't believe how late your school starts. When do you get out at the end of the year?

I'm really glad she was spared the move to a new class. Hopefully, she'll have some of her new friends in the class with her.

I kept thinking that all day today. That was the thought that kept me from slapping a mom today. Her two year old woke up crying, which is not like him. Then he didn't want to eat snack and actually cried when I asked him if he wanted to eat a cupcake. Then he laid down on the couch and acted like he was going to fall asleep, so I felt him and he was hot. Without adding a degree, and taking it under the arm, he had a 103.1. When my friend called the dad, he told her that the little boy felt warm this morning, but they gave him Tylenol and sent him anyway. The mom showed up a few minutes later, which meant she was at home down the street instead of at work 30 minutes away. When my friend's daughter said she was said that they were leaving the woman said, "it's ok, he'll be back tomorrow". This is when I kept chanting "2 more days, 2 more days" in my head to keep me from telling her off and slapping her.

Well I'm off to make dinner.

OK I can finally spill the beans on a BIG surprise! SHEILA, it's actually 5 nights I have to worry about the POP Warner kids because .......DRUM ROLL....... THE other official Grannie of the trip, our CHRISTINE is coming with me!!!!! She's joining us in the trip from the 5-9 of Dec, and to save costs we decided to STAY ONSITE together and split resort cost! We are BOOKED at POFQ in a Riverview room!!! we got an amazing rate and are so happy to be staying together!!! we both adore ONSITE, and I can't imagine Having my favourite place so close yet so far away off site! this works out perfectly for both of us to save cost, be ONSITE and for Christine to have a close home base with her foot in a boot and if she needs a break, our room will only be a short bus ride away... I have never stayed in a mod before, but as you know...I am not being picky,I was blessed to even be going in December and having Christine with me is the icing on the cake since our Diva trip got cancelled this yr! I am sooo excited

Pick me pick me...I just did a research paper on it....IF you do an axillary for 7-9minutes (really who can do that) it's fairly close to rectal. However, most digital axillary temps can be off by over a degree Celsius which is a little over a degree Fahrenheit

We are BOOKED at POFQ in a Riverview room!!! we got an amazing rate and are so happy to be staying together!!! we both adore ONSITE, and I can't imagine Having my favourite place so close yet so far away off site! this works out perfectly for both of us to save cost, be ONSITE and for Christine to have a close home base with her foot in a boot and if she needs a break, our room will only be a short bus ride away... I have never stayed in a mod before, but as you know...I am not being picky,I was blessed to even be going in December and having Christine with me is the icing on the cake since our Diva trip got cancelled this yr! I am sooo excited

The girls think the boys deserve a trip, it's their turn...my kids are so awesome I wish everyone was as honest and unselfish as my kiddos!

IDK if the scones are the same ones as in the tea room, but I bet they are!! They are delish!!! AKL has some pretty awesome scones as well!!!

All this GF tea talk! Wonder if those scones are like what they serve in the tea room? Those were given the Official Englishmen's Seal of Approval and the clotted cream with jam, that's seriously the bees' knees. I need a forklift to carry me off after indulging in scones.

Thanks to all who asked about Miss M and the latest classroom shenanigans. Not sure if my letter to the principal regarding the original placement had any bearing but she was spared another upheaval. Phew. Hoping some of the new friends she's made haven't been moved to this new class. It was all very silly of me to worry about. She's such a sensitive thing. (Must get that from her daddy.)

awesome that her room didn't get moved! I think I am getting together with the 2 couples for our trip on Saturday and I will see if there is any interest in the tea room.

So apparently going to the Poly Beach is a no no if you aren't a guest UGH I guess carriage ride it is!!!

I need a favor - can any of you AP holders check and see if there are AP rates for October 16-20 at any Deluxe resorts? I am most interested in Poly or CR but only if I can get the 35% off. If this is available, I am going to work on hubby about going back. He might kill me but I am willing to risk it LOL

Hopefully, as much as I have to do today, the day will fly by and I'll be so physically exhausted tonight that I won't suffer from a case of "I'm too excited to sleep". As soon as I can get JM on the bus, I have to grab a quick shower before getting to my friend's house. Then after picking up the kids from school, I have to make a quick trip to Wal Mart. I almost passed out last night when I told the DH everything I need/wanted to get, and he said, "just get however much money you think you need out of my wallet". Which I did, only after making sure he wasn't a Pod-person. While at Wal Mart, I'm going to try and get my nails repainted by someone who will do a better job than I did. This shouldn't be hard since a blind Monkey could probably do better. As soon as I get the few items I need at WM, I'm going to get the minivan washed and vacuumed out. Then David and I will go to Joey's football game. After that we'll grab some pizzas from Pizza Hut, and we'll get the van packed after we eat. In the morning we'll just have to add the drinks and ice to the ice chest, the last piece of luggage (that we'll put the toiletries in), and the kids. As long as we've been planning this trip, and as stressful as it's been, it seems kind of unreal that the trip is almost here.

Good morning RC Family Finally going to do some catching up! We had a great weekend and I will update my PTR latter today, I was bummed that I didn't get to meet up with Linda, but maybe another time.

We are going back the first weekend in Oct with our cousins for F&W and as I mentioned last night we are now going up the last weekend of Sept as well, so I will have back to back weekends at our favorite place

Marie and Christine - I am so very happy for both of you What a wonderful way to start the holiday season!!! I just may need to see if I can get up there that weekend as well since it seems like a major RC meet up is happening.

Wookie - can you contain your excitement??? I doubt you will sleep tonight! As for that mom who sent her sick child to daycare, unbelievable I can re-post your FB pics to Dis if you want, I promise to get here more now that things seem to be settling down.

As for the Poly beach, as long as you are not taking up chairs it IS a public area. We have sat on the dock in the benches (by the MK boat dock) after dining there. No crowds, and the Poly is PACKED with nonguests so I wouldn't sweat it. Grab a cocktail from the pool bar and enjoy!
