We arrive in Orlando at 4:30 pm on 9/27/13. BFF and I are planning on checking into POFQ and then hitting DTD that night. We have reservations for Raglan Road.

I think so too and one reason I decided to go with the CL this trip is who knows if we will even make another trip at the rate Bob is falling apart

The year we were upgraded to CL at YC neither Bob nor I visited the lounge although both boys did each afternoon, I say boys but they were 15 and 25 at the time.

I am looking forward to it this trip.

The BWI lounge is beautiful, spacious, and the CM's are very nice. I hope you all have a really fun as well as relaxing time!

I'm definitely up for a pinky swear! I've been steadfast in my BWI choice for months now. I did just notice, from Jen's little hint-hint post that there's a deal covering our period too. And, it includes BC. Oh my. That's my faaaaavorite.

Sheila: I'm so looking forward to your thoughts (and Jen's, too) on BWI CL -- nope, no changing allowed.

I'm getting all jealous here with these RC meet-ups. Wonder if I could change the date of my husband's birthday?

Resorts are sure slim pickings! I know we will be very busy, so that's why Christine and i went with POFQ... still hoping we might be able to fenangle ONE night in there (our last - 12/8) at a Deluxe CL....
I am hoping maybe a miracle for BWI CL/ or WL CL might appear! .... i"d need some major

As much as I love my trips with my Dear Andrew (17).... and he's begged me to tag along, sorry kiddo..... not just price (and this is supposed to be my budget trip! ) but I am really looking forward to spending Adult time in my favourite place! only myself and my friends to worry about for 5 lovely days

Marie, I am with you, I am going to try to get up there in December without the family. I may end up having Sarah with me or if the boys really protest, dragging them along but leaving them behind somewhere to meet up with all of you

Miss Jealous here too last year I was there from 11/28-12/3 but no one else was

What is really bad is the grannies trip started out to be last year, I guess I am just not to meet all you lovely RCers

Now about your DH's Birthday, How's about telling him this year he has to celebrate an Un-Birthday instead

Customized my MagicBands and went to make FP+ selections but it won't let me because it says I need valid park admission. I am sure it's the fact that my AP's expire before our reservation and I haven't renewed them. Hopefully once I renew them it will work or a CM can link them. I would hate to have to wait until we get there to be able to play with the FP+. We use a GAC, so the rides aren't really important, but I'm interested in parade and wishes viewing!

It is all very confusing to me but I doubt we get MB anyway BWI hasn't tested that I know of an rumors flying that testing will end 10/31 and not resume until Jan

Rosie and I are one night at POP. I wonder if she will get an email closer to DEC to test magic bands? I was wondering if they did it for one night stays, I'd love to get a pink magic band I am onsite for my whole stay, I move over to POFQ from the 5-9... but that was booked through the unnamed travel site deal....and FQ isn't in the testing phase yet.... but because I am at pop first, i am wondering if i will get an invite for a magic band??

Hate to be a bummer and bring more bad news....GEE 2013 can really just be over by now!!!

DH just got a call that his Dad has been diagnosed with cancer in his Kidney.
Bad News
Good News: The mass is fairly contained and small, they will do surgery and try to slice out the bad part/ if not will remove the whole kidney.
Good Prognosis for recovery as people can live with one kidney....but really, it's just more bad news we didn't need this year!

Now both my Dh and his Dad are awaiting surgeries!

I can't remember if I told you all that DH's surgeon said he would probably not gain full function of his hand again... there is still very limited movement. he most likely will not be able to be on the front lines of law enforcement work, will have to take a more admin/ supervisor/ intell type route. hoping he will still be able to work as a sheriff, but it is still unknown in what capacity yet.

We decided with the surgeon we will take the route that bodes for the best chance of functionality for Allan's hand....he will be getting a joint replacement in his knuckle to try and gain some more movement, and a scar surgery to try and strip the scars, realign the joint and get some better tendon gliding so he can have better movement. prosthetic joints only last about ten yrs. but it is his best chance at getting his finger to move as much as it can.... so that's the plan now.
still on WCB, Still off work
It's been a crazy year that we will not be sorry to say goodbye too!
My only bright light is my DEC trip and getting to meet my dear friends

Just popping in to say a quick hello. Joey's football game went well, but he didn't get to play. They won 15-7. Thanks to the seats being in the direct path of the sun, I sweated so much my hair was as wet as it is when I get out of the shower. I know he was disappointed, but I was ok with it. I was afraid if he had played, he ran the risk of getting hurt the night before our trip. Two of us will take a shower tonight and two in the morning. The minivan is already 90% packed. The DH asked each DS what time they wanted to get up for us to take the last two showers to get ready to leave and they both said 6 AM. I'll get up then and get my shower and then JM will get his. The last thing we'll do before leaving the DFW area is to eat at The Original Pancake House. I'm hopeful we'll be on the road to WDW in about 12 hours from now.
