Our little thread of BIG Resort changes*OLD THREAD link on last pg. to new thread!

LOL! No worries, that is what we are here for.

BLT is Bay Lake Tower (Disney Vacation Club villas that sit adjacent to the Contemporary)

Views at the BLT are SV (standard view), LV (lake view) and MKV/TPV (Magic Kingdom/Theme Park View)

At CR in the main tower there is BLV (Bay Lake View) and TPV (Theme Park View)

Melissa, you were much more thorough than me! :worship: :thumbsup2

righting them down so I don't have to ask again......no memory any more....

no worries.... our memory isn't too much better:rotfl2: we been on the DIS a bit longer than you and it does sink in eventually :)... you know long term memory beats short term.... :goodvibes

I did it, I called and made the change. CM said DVC just must of released it but they don't stay for long, so happy I did it. The whole trip is still a "maybe" anyway, so why not shoot for the moon ::yes::

We also got our confirmation for Siesta Key for next year, so that makes me a happy girl :goodvibes My brother and SIL are going to Napa the beginning of July for her 40th, so we moved our beach trip back to the second week of June seeing as the kids get out of school on June 5th next year. But who knows if they will both trips next year. But whatever it is I know I am locked in and happy!!!

We are having a quiet birthday day for Steven today. He got a Wii U and we went to Carvel for ice cream, that is all he wanted. I cant believe he is 10 already :faint

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Melissa

Glad you booked TPV :goodvibes

Happy Birthday to Steven

Hi peeps!

Petey, welcome back stranger!! 99 sounds so much better than 100:) glad to "see" you back!

Sue, hoping your claim is processed ASAP for you to have some extra Disney dough :)

Sheila, hoping you are managing to stay cool in this heat! Here's an extra hug for you today

MM, way to go on getting the AC units!! We had our AC break about 4 years ago in the middle of august...it was brutual. Don't know how I ever managed to grow up with no AC at all in the house (or in our cars).

Spiritsim, :yay: for BC!! If you keep it you'll be the first RCer to stay there!!

Hope everyone is having a nice relaxing Saturday. I know my Sam is having fun... Her and Carlie are out tubing today!!

The girls look like they're having a great time! I'm hoping for a pay day next Friday ;)

I stayed at BC last September and I thought there was somebody else here who recently stayed there too? But maybe I'm wrong...? :-)

Lots of personal stuff that I'm dealing with right now and trying to figure out, so I may be MIA for a bit...
:grouphug:

Quick need opinions from my honest RC family.....MK view just opened at BLT. It is about $30 more a night than LV. The kids absolutely loved TPV at CR and really want it again. Just like with CR, there is the parking lot to look at, and I think even more so with BLT. If we get high enough you kind of look last the parking lot. With LV i can request north building and and even room number and hope to see fireworks. Should I just bite the bullet and change us to MK view so I am guaranteed a view if the fireworks?????

Glad you ended up with TPV!! I haven't stayed at either of those resorts yet.

So, this is my 2nd visit to this thread:rotfl2: This is a couples only FD getaway. Originally booked at POP, then considered CSR, but then booked king room at POR Riverside, then found out our room could be in AB, which is not our cup of tea, so then booked a Royal Room at Riverside.

However, now I am thinking I will be feeling guilty not having my girls on this trip, ages 12 & 5, so I am thinking of going back to POP.

So thoughts:confused3

Also, if we do change back to POP, and I am NOT within my 45 days of arrival, is there a charge to do so?

Thanks:thumbsup2

I'd stick with POR. It's our fav moderate. We have had 3 stays there, and always request the mansion section and get it. It's a beautiful resort. So relaxing and peaceful. Boat to DTD is fun, horse & carriage rides, fun evening entertainment, and option of quiet pool.

If you are past your 45 day, and downgrade you will pay the fee. But going the other way and upgrading they waive the fee.

Thanks Sue! I have already changed my reservation to the royal room as I didn't want to chance the AB king room I'm just worries I will feel guilty being in a royal room without my girls

Waving hi to all my RC friends, heading out in the morning for our "road trip" to Boston! It is sure to be an adventure! :laughing:I will try to pop in with an update or two.

Hope you all have a great week! And a happy belated Birthday to your DS Melissa! :cool1:

I am loving business class at CSR found out you can grab a cold bottle of water from the lounge to take to the park with you each day. So I don't even have to go buy any, yeah. Also can eat breakfast in the lounge and save money that way, so cool. Like having a resort with continental breakfast and evening snackage

:welcome: Personally shannon if it were me and I wanted King room I would go with CSR, it is a beautiful resort, fantastic pool, good restaurants and best of all a King room is a bookable catagory. Also CSR has more of an "Adult" feel to it and the rooms have more of a "Deluxe" feel IMO

you can get a king room in business class at CSR guaranteed build 9b close to El Centro and walkway to pool. And the business loby with food and drinks

Good Morning RC Friends! :wave2:

Hope everyone had a restful weekend!! I see there was a bit of POR chatter, so here's a very early morning pic from the resort. Love that place!!!

Shannon...you will absolutely love those Royal Rooms! My boys even thought they were cool:thumbsup2

Jenny...how was the road trip???

Spirit...had no idea a business class existed at CSR  I learned something new!

Lots of cleaning up to do today. My house guests left early this morning (yes, earlier than I'm posting :upsidedow) and hopefully the rain will go elsewhere. Way too much of it this summer, and not enough pool time!!!

Okay I am making a change, but not to my Disney trip, to me! The past year or so of stress, medical issues and now injuries...has led to a ridiculous amount of weight gain. I was going to post over on the losing weight for Mickey boards, but just didn't feel like home. So here I am, vowing to lose at least 35 lbs by my 40th bday next May! Plenty of time to do it the right way. As of today I am counting calories, upping my water intake (which had been almost non existent) and cutting out the "happy hour" and snacking at night! Obviously my friend, the boot, means no exercise right now but that's okay. Kids start school in a month and I will start at the gym the day they go back to school!

Hold me to my word girls! I need to do this after so many start and stop attempts!!!

I'll be back to catch up with everyone in a bit :)

HUGS,
Melissa

Sat down with a stack of bills and quarterly tax stuff, but decided to catch up here first :rolleyes1

Heather - LOVE all your resort pics, you are always on the ball with posting which ever one is relevant :thumbsup2 Hope you had a great time with your family, but I know it is always nice to get your house back to yourself.

Jen - Have a phenomenal time in Boston :yay: Enjoy your time without the kids!!!!

Shannon - I could never go to Disney now without the kids, they would totally disown me  Are you wavering on taking the girls, or are you firm on an adults only trip?

Janet - love the pic of Kate! Thank you for posting it!!! Looks like Sam is still having a great time! I know you miss her and the Y just isn't the same, but what an experience for her :goodvibes

Shelia - I hope the weather starts to become more tolerable for you this week. And yes, thank goodness for A/C!!!

SueM - good plan on learning how to tape the knee. I always found taping to give me a lot more support in my knee and ankle after injuries and surgeries. You are getting so close to your trip :dance3:

Hello to everyone else :wave2: I missed! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Babyberger

Not wavering on taking the kids. We have another trip planned with them 4 months after coming back. DH and I will go to restaurants we normally wouldn't go to because the kids don't like We have gone twice before without them. Although each time we had a family trip planned within 4 months of a mom and dad trip only

My concern was staying in a royal room without them. However I have come to to the conclusion that for my girls, they would really rather stay in a LM room at AOA.

Ah, now I understand, little slow before coffee, LOL! Even though I like the RR, I think the LM rooms are more lively and probably a great choice for the girls! Enjoy your adults only trip.....I am jealous!!!

Ok I am in I want to lose a total of 50lbs before our WDW trip next oct. so we can do this!
And yes they do have business class I already have it booked for oct 2014 its a 30 dollar upgrade but you get food and drinks daily, morning and night (including beer and wine) also build 9b guaranteed.

Shelia - sorry you were hurt by your daughter-in-law.

Krystal - hope things are better for you soon.

Jeanette - great shot of your daughter, the hotel looks beautiful, hope you are having a great trip! (Thanks for posting it Janet!)

Melissa - I'll do it with you. I have stopped losing at 20lbs from my goal, I've only got 78 days to go before I have to put on a bathing suit! It will be easier to run now that the heat wave is done.
