My sister just sent me a text asking that I house/dog sit this weekend. I'm going to bribe the DH into letting me. I could use some puppy snuggle time, and Clancy (the Irish Wolfhound) is pretty good at it.

Exciting news ..... I just booked my room at the Grand Californian for the DL Diva trip next Feb/Mar!!!!

Funny I was just thinking about the DIVA trip on the way in...trying to figure an angle on coming along ....

Oh hope that means that Marie and Christine also got their booked!!

Well, it looks like I will be returning to the dentist. There's something in the hole where my tooth was. Not sure if it is part of the tooth or what, but I saw it tonight while doing my makeup and this is why it still hurts so bad.

Dani good luck today! Maybe you need a stronger antibotic? Let us know what happens.

Okay, I am going to feel really sorry for myself (and everyone else in the family too...) DD8 DOES have more spots this morning. Not a lot but there are a few more and one on her face now. She is itchy, and tells me that the girl in her class whose brother just had chicken pox sits right beside her.

We may have to cancel our trip over this. Even if we go I am going to be worried about the other two coming down with it. I am going to take her to the DR. this morning to try and get a confirmation.

Jen, I take it that the other two didn't have the vaccination? you know you might be able to still get your trip in even if it is CP. The other two may get it quickly. Let us know what the doctor says. It also could be another virus or allergies.

It is chicken pox.

The good news is that it has already moved down to her legs and hands, which the DR. said is a good sign that it is only a mild case and she may not get many more spots. She said probably by 1-2 weeks if the other two don't show signs they should be ok. They have all had the vaccine, so it really depends on the child whether they still get that 'mild' case.

Janet, we must have been posting at the same time! Two great minds and all that.
A bit of the details, I don't take Bio phosphates well, they give me very bad long bone pain. With that in mind she's putting me on Evista. We still have the injectables for down the road if we need them. The dexa found a spinal fracture, healed they think. No more heaving lifting for me. I go for more xrays tomorrow to be sure. Anyway, this Dr was so nice, kind, and really took her time. I felt she cared about both my health and my quality of life.

Dani I feel so bad for you. I've always had problems with my teeth so I understand how horrible you feel. According to my dentist you need to be very careful with any infection in your mouth because it is so close to your brain. Please get in there as soon as possible.

Oh, no! Fingers crossed this is ony a coincidence! I've lots of experience with chicken pox and so sure hope it is something else (only because you'll be waiting for the others to break out just about the time of your trip). If it is CP and they all breakout in the next couple of days then the trip might still be a go! Praying, fingers crossed and loads of ISPD!

Oh no!! Is there any way to make the other two get it now so they can all have it together and get over it in time? (If it is CP). I remember having it when I was in 3rd grade and we went on vacation shortly after. I wasn't contagious at that point, but I still had the pox marks, so I had to wear a shirt to go swimming so people wouldn't freak out and I had double layers of socks on and it hurt to walk since I had them on the bottom of my feet. :-/

When are you supposed to leave? Can you postpone instead of cancel completely? *crossing fingers*

Oh jenny I feel so bad for you The terrible thing about CP is they are contagious even before the first spots appear. I know my boys had them either 2 or 3 weeks apart I can't remember which so with 3 kids it is possible you will have to change or dates.

Ginny oh my, a spinal fracture? Yes, no more heavy lifting, that’s left for DH. It’s wonderful you have found a good, caring doctor that will listen to you. Just looked up Evista to find out about it, interestingly it can also in the prevention of invasive breast cancer (my mom did have breast cancer – twice). Don’t know if my mom ever was given this treatment as an option, although her condition is not as serious as yours (and she has tolerated the bio phosphates) Fingers crossed that the xrays confirm what the doctor believes about your spine. Wow, Ginny this is quite a serious condition you live with every day.

I'm sure that you can figure out a way to come!!!! Yep I have complete faith in the way your mind works!!! You would have so much fun!!! Last I heard there are 100 ladies signed up .... of course with the way life is some won't be able to come. The GC was designed by the same architect who did both WL and AK so I know you'd like it.

Maybe I'll have to give more details about the trip so more of the RC ladies will come. Fun Meet n Greet party with a crazy theme and funny costumes. Team scavenger hunt with prizes. Group pictures. Lots of great dining choices. Dancing in California Adventures one evening. Fun rides. New this year ... pub crawl. And I haven't even mentioned a great group of ladies who really do make newbies feel welcome!

Any other RC ladies want to join the fun????

So I've been putting it off for long enough ... time to pack ... no I'm sneaking in a secret trip to WDW!! DD and I are doing a quick weekend trip to Seattle. DD has a friend up there who is loaning us her condo for the weekend ... the friend will just stay with her boyfriend ... so we'll have the place to ourselves. Friday plan: breakfast, ferry from West Seattle to downtown, food tour at Pikes Place/Point/Pier (can't remember the exact name), Duck Tour (whatever that is), meet the friend when she gets off work, dinner, ending the night at a comedy club ..... I'm tired and that's only Friday!!!! I have no idea what else they have planned for the weekend .... other than a hike!!! I need to rest just thinking about it!!!!
