:( It is chicken pox.

The good news is that it has already moved down to her legs and hands, which the DR. said is a good sign that it is only a mild case and she may not get many more spots. She said probably by 1-2 weeks if the other two don't show signs they should be ok. They have all had the vaccine, so it really depends on the child whether they still get that 'mild' case.

Thanks for all the good wishes....they mean so much!! fingers crossed that all works out. :grouphug:

I'm sorry it is the chicken pox, but I'm glad it is just a mild case.

Wookie  Hoping that it all works out with your class. you've had a lot on your plate, with your meds, life with FIL....remember, just keep swimming... and keep your eye on Disney!!

My professor sent me an email finally and he is going to work with me on it.

Janet, we must have been posting at the same time! Two great minds and all that.
A bit of the details, I don't take Bio phosphates well, they give me very bad long bone pain. With that in mind she's putting me on Evista. We still have the injectables for down the road if we need them. The dexa found a spinal fracture, healed they think. No more heaving lifting for me. I go for more xrays tomorrow to be sure. Anyway, this Dr was so nice, kind, and really took her time. I felt she cared about both my health and my quality of life.

Thanks for asking, dear friend!:goodvibes

I'm glad you had such a kind, and (what sounds like) excellent doctor. Hopefully the new meds will work.

Sounds like a perfect idea!!

Sounds like an excellent idea :thumbsup2

Wookie, :yay: pouch snuggle time!!

Wookie - I hope you get to dig sit this weekend!!! Just a nice break from everything going on and a little puppy love will do you wonders :)

The DH said he is ok with me getting puppy-snuggle time, but I'm getting less than I originally thought. My sister and bil are going to San Antonio for the weekend to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. I assumed they would leave on Friday, but they are not leaving until Saturday morning and will be home on Sunday.

Well the doctor didn't draw blood, but I think that is because he wants to see me back in a week. Since I am still complaining about swelling, he wants me to do an eating, exercise, blood pressure, and blood sugar log. He actually wanted to send me to a cardiologist over it, but we don't have health insurance.

I wish I were on the campus of SMU this morning. They are dedicating the George W. Bush Presidential Center this morning and I would have loved the boys since they had all of the living presidents there.

Jen - sorry its CP :( I hope the other girls get it quickly if they get it at all.

HUGS,
Melissa

So I've been putting it off for long enough ... time to pack ... no I'm sneaking in a secret trip to WDW!! :rotfl2: DD and I are doing a quick weekend trip to Seattle. DD has a friend up there who is loaning us her condo for the weekend ... the friend will just stay with her boyfriend ... so we'll have the place to ourselves. Friday plan: breakfast, ferry from West Seattle to downtown, food tour at Pikes Place/Point/Pier (can't remember the exact name), Duck Tour (whatever that is), meet the friend when she gets off work, dinner, ending the night at a comedy club ..... I'm tired and that's only Friday!!!! I have no idea what else they have planned for the weekend .... other than a hike!!! I need to rest just thinking about it!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Linda,

Pike Place Fish Market :) :thumbsup2

What, no journeying to climb Mt. Ranier?? :goodvibes

Comedy club sounds like fun. When we were there many, many years ago, we went to the musical "Angry Housewives" .. there was a song I could identify with later in life... called "eat your f@%ckin' cornflakles!" The show was hilarious! :rotfl2:

Okay.you.have.me.at.pub.crawl.

Going over the list of friends who might be interested (if DH doesn't mind me going on the trip :))... including a friend from HS that I recently re-connected with... Stay tuned!! Of course if any other RCers want to jump in, let it be known!! :cool1:

Marie & Christine! :thumbsup2 :yay:

Hey Piglets Mommy!! Miss ya! :flower3:

I knew the pub crawl would get you!!! :rotfl2: Also remember there are a lot of ladies that don't have roomies yet! But it would be nice to have someone to fly with. :thumbsup2

Okay ladies, dilemma time....Steven is a roller coaster junkie. So I was a little disappointed to see the announcement of the Mine Coaster spring of 2014. I was really hoping it would be open for our Feb trip. Spring is such a vague time frame. Do I try to push our vacation out more with the hopes of going once the coaster opens? I was going in mainly for value season and being able to afford BLT. I guess with Easter so late in 2014 the season time frames could change drastically too. Ugh.

Sorry I am sitting in the car waiting for Sarah and taking a break from Steven and all his schoolwork and needed the distraction :)

Melissa

Hmmm....could you wait to see when the rates for 2014 come out? Maybe you could get a better idea of it. Is the minetrain going to be more of a thrill ride? It could be an excuse to plan another trip!:rotfl:

Feb 26th - Mar 2nd ---- Wed thru Sun ---- but lots of ladies only come for a couple of days. :thumbsup2

Not sure if I'd be able to talk my DH into letting me go this coming year or not...we'll have to see...airfare is what would kill me most likely...

I totally understand about the airfare .... it's a real killer for all my trips to WDW!:sad2:

It would depend on a couple of things....
Is it possible to push it back to a value season a little further, like September? This way you make sure the coaster is up and running by the time of your trip.

Random question...

To get to the GF from AKL, would you:
A) bus to MK then monorail to GF
B) bus to Epcot then monorail to TTC and on to GF
C) drive to GF (but would you have to move your car later if you went to a park?)

We have dinner at 1900 Park Fare on our arrival night (may be a moot point if we are already at MK before this), and planning on the pirate cruise one morning for DS at GF (figured it'd be easier/better than POR or CBR so we could shop or something while he's doing that?). Thoughts?

Koh, I would choose "A" :)

Note: If you are not staying at the GF you have to park in a lot far removed from the entrance. :goodvibes Found out this out the hard way..

And yes, I believe it is a 3 hr window for having a car at a resort (when not a guest there). If you want to go to a park afterward, perhaps park at the TTC and take the monorail to the GF. :goodvibes

Melissa, I vote for keeping the Feb dates for now... you can always change them when you know the value season dates for 2014. Although since F&G usually begins around the same time in March (second weekend) sure Disney will be moving from value to regular for that event.

Plus you know the weather will not be to hot. :thumbsup2

And as you all live close to Disney, perhaps plan a quick weekend trip when the attraction is open...:goodvibes If DH can't get away, come with the kids.:cool1:

Wookie, definitely follow up (and it stinks that you do not have insurance. :sad2:)

:goodvibes Linda, Oh you know me so well... And I know there are many "single ladies" (ok now Beyonce is singing in my head... :rotfl2:)

I do believe the invitation has been extended by Marie and myself ::yes:: ...all we need is a rollaway. :thumbsup2
