Our little thread of BIG changes, the neverending saga of the Resort Changers

Heh, nearly qualified for this board. We're currently booked at CBR, but I also had my eye on POR/POFQ in the meantime. Decided against it though.
:welcome::jumping1: to our happy home! You qualify! Our only requirement is a love for Disney resorts! I think the CBR pool looks neato mosquito! We've stayed at CBR, but unfortunately it was Cheer Nationals and it was a host resort. I have loud crazy kiddos, but :duck: it was not a magical experience. It wasn't bad, but unfortunately skewed our opinion of the resort. Pop we LOVED!! My DH liked it more than any other resort I think....until WL :rotfl2: POR looks amazing! Hmmmm, I am probably not helping you...but I am so happy you've joined us, and look forward to your possible ch-ch-changes!!!

Mental changes ABSOLUTELY qualify you!!!
ABSOLUTELY THEY DO!!!!:goodvibes

GM RC Friends I made a big post to catch up yesterday about 4 am and it seems to have disappeared I haven't released her medical records to the kennel yet but think I might as well, Bob says to do it
I hate when that happens Sheila  I definitely think you should release the records to the kennel, in person...might not hurt to show them previous records that Bella was walking PRIOR to her stay :( I am so sorry my friend  Not only is this hard for Bella, but for you! Both emotionally and physically (which you do not need) I am so very sorry...pixiedust: Continued prayers for you both!

Hi. So glad to hear from you. Glad you liked the cruise. Super glad you got to try it out and decide for yourselves!!! But as I understand it, cruising isn't for everyone. Have a wonderful BW CL visit.. My fave happy spot!!!! And have a great WDW time!
I totally know a cruise is not for us (I always look anyway):rotfl: And now I am pricing out BWI

Nothing amiss here! Thanks, chica. The reports and pictures of what happened downstate though are sad, to say the least. (We had to watch the news in secret because when we were getting flash flood warning / severe thunderstorm warning notifications on TV and on our phones, Miss M started getting scared. :scared: She kept asking if we were going to have a tornado.) We just had crazy winds and rain like all get-out. Outside of the flooding we had back in April, we've been lucky weather-wise this year.
 I was SO glad you texted me sweetie! THANK YOU! And work was not too bad (got out 2 hours late though)
How about you just don't listen to anything I say, until I am actually at resort of choice...yada, yada, yada...
UMMMMM, or after check-in.....

Hi to Melissa, Pas, I Heart, Miss M, Marie, Linda, Janet! Who'd I miss?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I need to book 2 resort stays. One for the night before our cruise, late check in, maybe breakfast in the morning and kill some time (not much) before headed to port. The other one is for our last night. If we rent a car, we will go straight to a park and likely stay til close before we even check in and then take ME at 7 the next morning to head home. If we take the transport, we will check in at the resort but not stay, we will be headed to a park. So, since the time spent enjoying the resort will be so minimal, I am thinking about booking a mod and value we haven't tried to scratch them off the list. I was thinking FWC for the first night and then breakfast at Trail's End in the morning (hubby and I really really enjoyed this). Then for the last night, thinking two rooms at Pop. Discuss. LOL
:wave2: I think maybe reverse that. First night Pop...then FWC. There really is so much to do and see there it may be worth it! Pop you can stroll in the night...and even eat at AoA in the morning :thumbsup2 Plus it really is nice to have a full kitchen (mousekeeping does the dishes and everything)

Sending hugs to all the every changin' friends.
:grouphug:

Can hardly believe I'm on the 16 day countdown to my trip and meeting so many dear friends! (Jeanette, Melissa, Linda, Janet, Rosie, perhaps Deena if we're lucky, and maybe even more Disers who may be down at the same time!)

I went on the bog lunch FP site this morning and I was finally able to grab a FP for 2 (Dawn (my BFF)and I) for Dec 6 between 10:45 and 11:15 am!) that's great because Friday night Dawn and I want to have a nice steak dinner at either Shula's or Yachtsmans, we need to save room for that!

Speaking of which, maybe you can give a recommendation..... My Dilema: I booked my stay through MFT reunion discount. There is a guest appreciation viewing of Osbourne lights and a desert party I'd like to attend on Dec 6. Originally I thought I wouldn't make it and booked yachtmans at 8:15 pm so dawn and I could see Osbourne lights then eat dinner after. Now it looks like this is the confirmed event and we'd like to make it if possible.

I've tried EVERY day to change my yachtmans dinner to a 5:00 time with no luck!!! I was able to grab a 6:15 dinner at Shula's (will keep trying to get an earlier slot) -- this might make us able to attend the dessert party/ lights show between 8-11pm)

Which place is better for a steak dinner? I'm liking Yachtmans just because it's not Al la carte like Shula's, I don't have to pay for my potato and veggie separate. I'm liking Shula's for the quality. I'd like whichever won't break the bank as I'm paying oop, but I'm willing to pay for quality and one nice dinner out with my friend.... So Shula's??? Or Yachtsman's?? That is the question!????
2 weeks Marie!!!! So I've heard AWESOME things about Shula's so I wouldn't hesitate to book there and then head to dessert party! I almost booked BOG, but for us, I would've been the only one wanting to go :upsidedow

Pas
-Looking forward to hearing about your latest change. :cool1:

I think I may book something today....I am in the mood....but where...WL??? BC?YC? GF??? BWI now...BLT :surfweb: I truly don't have a clue :beach: Or do I????? Off to the website......

:beach:Drum roll please..... The winner is Beach Club!!!
Woohoo! Sounds like a winner :) --- for now anyways! ;) lol
Decided to stick with Shula's for now. Still holding onto my 8:15 yachtmans but if something early doesn't open up, I'll be cancelling it. I just have to remember to cancel so I'm not charged that no show fee!!!
I can hardly wait! 2 weeks today! It's going to be AWESOME :)

Jen-Glad you all are having a wonderful time at BWI. :cool1:

MM-I am trying to follow your latest change, I really am. Should I go with the ticker or the post?

Marie-Shula's is delicious, no doubt about it.

--------------------------------
I haven't used a certain magical travel agency before, but I've contacted them about an upcoming trip. Here's hoping they have a nice deal for us.

Have a great day RCers!

Hello RCers!:wave2:
I have been bogged down in the kids dueling colds and medical appointments - having a second child doesn't double the workload... it takes it to the tenth degree! It doesn't help DH had training all last week and was gone. Fortunately, everyone is happy and healthy now. We also had a mini flood in the kitchen because our dishwasher lost its mind so I've had to help our landlords coordinate that fun - they are in the middle of moving so it's hard for them to touch base.

In my time away I switched to AKL then back to WL and eventually grabbed my WL bunk room again (so annoying to have to keep checking!!!). I was hooked onto the 'kids will love the animals dream' until DH pointed out we'll be out of the room most of the time the animals are awake and that youngest DD would probably enjoy more when she is older. I had also decided we could do without the third bed in the room and then older DD needed 'mommy snuggles' when she was sick and I realized I couldn't make my poor friend suffer with our midnight bed jogger. ;)

Going to try to catch up! Keep on ch-ch-changing!!!:grouphug:

I really don't have high hopes on it sticking..it's not my first (OR second) choice...BUT it is cheaper than a mod and has an awesome pool, which is really where my kids and big kid AKA DH spend most of the day:beach: And it's time to stalk the Orlando weather my friend!!!

Great choice!! :beach:
Thanks Ginny !! I would love to stick in the Epcot area, so the kids can have a new experience. My DS5 adores boats, so the location can't be beat. I was going to book CL, but honestly, I am paying 1/2 the price forgoing it. We have a car, for saving $2000...that's a lot of snacks and food!!!

 Missed ya! WL is awesome, so I definitely approve. With little ones, you will appreciate the MK boat SO much. And you can boat to CR and hit the monorail loop easy peasy for additional food selections. AKL is lovely, that said it's good for a time you can hang at the resort more. And they will love it when they are older, my kids enjoyed the guides and activities...you can spend a good 4 days there and never want to leave...pixiedust: How are YOU feeling???

Excellent!!! For when??? :confused3
August 16th-21st then off to HRH CL :upsidedow

Oh ladies....totally having a moment right now. My baby girl is turning 7 tomorrow!!!!!

7!!!!!!

My youngest baby is going to be 7!!!!! How did this happen?!?!?

My babies are growing up...and as happy as I am to see the fantastic ladies they are becoming, I am having a hard time with it too.

Awwww, thanks Jen!

Trip update??? :hyper:

Things are good! We had a really smooth day today at Hollywood studios, everything seemed to fall into place. And we love the bands and our FP+. It has allowed us to stop running first thing in the morning to a park. We are sleeping later, enjoying breakfast in the lounge, swimming and taking our time getting to the parks. Still getting everything done that we want.

Seeing lots of crying children though and harassed looking parents. Rushing from thing to thing is just not something we do anymore.

So things are going well! Hitting bog for lunch tomorrow and magic kingdom for at least half the day. I am having trouble with one thing. I have been given the green light for a purse but I can't decide on Dooney and Burke or a Harvey's seatbelt bag! ;)

Ooooh, decisions, decisions.....there are so many Dooneys that I am in LOVE with, I'm never able to make a decision :rotfl2:

Glad you had a great day! :cool1:

I got a small Dooney and Burke and love it!! :-)

jenny glad to read your enjoying BWI CL

Candace I came to the conclusion years ago when Disney started building so many resorts I'd never stay at them all.

:thumbsup2 on WLCL, WL with all the pine trees actually felt slightly cooler when we stayed there in August

Bella is about the same getting her meds refilled today, the vet says if we want to keep trying to go ahead. The other day she actually moved about 5-6 ft on her own by dragging/crawling. It is a job and a half cleaning up after her but I have to say she waits and goes when we try to get her up to walk and her ill fated attempts.

Other than not being able to hoist herself up and walk she is her normal sweet self.

Sue Bella's vet does not do laser therapy plus transporting her (she weighs 130lbs) is a major issue unfortunately so for now we are her therapists

I haven't released her medical records to the kennel yet but think I might as well, Bob says to do it :confused3

Seems like a little progress with Bella. That's good. Have you tried using a towel as a sling? My vet showed me that trick with our lab. So she was using her front legs, while rear legs/hip was being supported by the towel sling.
Hope she continues progressing.

We tried using a towel the first night but not since, to be honest we are both a bit afraid if we get her outside and then not able to get her back in without help and I really don't want to ask Ddil again to come over she seems so put out when we needed her help to and from the vets office last week.

Hi Peeps!!! Happy Hump day to all!!
Yikes...I'm so far behind!!!

Sue: We will definitely meet up come August... I love DISmeets and would love to meet up with you!! And thanks for sharing about your Mom....I've been keeping you and her in my prayers.

Lacey, know you have popped in...hope you are doing well!

Dani, anything going this weeked? :)

Magic, hoping to meet up in 2 weeks!

JEN!!!! Hi my friend!! Soo happy you are enjoying BWI and a relaxing Disney trip so far. (hear great things about the BOG lunch...Linda loved it in Sept). (on the purse issue I'm no help... I like them both!)

Dooney!! I love my Haunted Mansion Dooney :)

Hi Deena!! Happy you had a great cruise (and you booked again, right?). Looking forward to meeting up with you in December!! and there's a haunted mansion Dooney?? Cool!

haha, that too. We went between Pop, All Stars, CBR, POR, CSR before booking at CBR, mostly for price. I want to try POR next trip though, or POP.

:welcome: Sparkly!! have stayed at POR, and POP (love them both) and most likely will be at CSR in about 2 weeks. :)

dimndgal1... thankful to hear you all are feeling better! What fun on the dishwasher :( will you have to get new flooring?

WL is amazing and it's a good fit for your DD's ages. As Pas stated, it will be nice to have the boat to MK. AKL for another trip. :)

I really don't have high hopes on it sticking..it's not my first (OR second) choice...BUT it is cheaper than a mod and has an awesome pool, which is really where my kids and big kid AKA DH spend most of the day:beach: And it's time to stalk the Orlando weather my friend!!!

Pas, my wonderful, amazing Yin to my Yang friend!! I laughed when you wrote this!! Of course we know you will be cha-cha-changing... doesn't mean you won't come full circle but we will be along for the ride!! and like your thinking on CL...know you love it and if it works great but having $$ for other stuff is good too!

Oh ladies....totally having a moment right now. My baby girl is turning 7 tomorrow!!!!!

Candace, Happy Birthday to your DD!! :cool1::dance3: it's is bittersweet....we can't keep them young forever, there are so many things to be grateful for, we just have to be open for the great things that come with age!! (and the wonderful teenage years .... well you have a few years:)).
