Help me chose a moderate! I am posting here because I think you people will understand; although I have never actually changed a room, I am TOTALLY a RCer at heart. A hot tub is a must for me, and Im not a fan of in-your-face theming (i.e. the giant football helmets at ASSp!) so values are out. I cant justify double the cost for deluxe (although Im sure we would love them) so deluxe is out. Ideally I probably would have tried to rent DVC at AKL for this trip, but it is semi-last minute and too late now.
We want a re-do of our trip last year where DH and DD were really sick with a stomach bug. Currently we are booked at CBR with a RO offer. CSR would have been our first choice, but it is fully booked, there is nothing available even at rack rates. The theme at POR never excited me. But now I have been reading countless threads about how much people love it there and how beautiful the grounds are. My DD9 and I love royalty (she is not afraid to admit that she loves the Disney Junior show Sofia the First), and Ive been wondering if we would like the royal rooms at POR. I think she would love staying in a mansion, but are the headboards with the fireworks tacky, and too young for us? Also POFQs pool will be closed during our stay, so wouldnt that make the POR pool much busier? I have fond memories of CBR with my parents in the 80s and love the theme, but am really put off by the chance of loud cheerleaders and also that it is rumored to be going through refurbishment just days after our stay. I would rather stay there after the refurb. I should also mention that the POR regular and royal rooms are not currently available with the RO offer (royal room WAS available when I first was looking a few weeks ago), but I keep checking every day. What should I do? I am leaning POR royal room should one become available.

to our family! You're going in Feb? I did CBR during cheer nationals NO BUENO
POR does look really pretty! Things open up constantly, so keep checking for CSR if that's your first choice...another option is Orbitz, they have a lot of 20% off promos you just have to pay in full at booking..maybe you can snag a discounted deluxe....

congrats on booking GF! Wow, Your Richard Petty DH staying at the GF...
Might you add dinner at Park Faire with those delightful step sisters??

oh sometimes I dislike practicallity... that's why we go so good together
And yes, it's certainly is a downer having to book 2 CL rooms.
And slushies as a side benefit of cancelling the Neverland club is good...always gotta look to look at the positive!
To a excellent Irish watering hole??

I would absolutely love to go during December one day.
I'm sure some of you have experienced this... any advice? I've been looking up relaxation techniques for younger kids, in case it happens again.
