We're having some work done to the house, so last night the man from the siding company came by and we signed the contract. He mentioned that they wouldn't be starting the work if it was too close to Christmas which led to a conversation about Christmas lights which led to the Osborne Family Lights at MGM. This man's wife told him she wanted to go to WDW for their 25th anniversary and he thought she was crazy and that he wouldn't have any fun. Of course, he loved it and has been back many times.

When he couldn't remember the name of a hotel or where a particular attraction was located, I was able to tell him. I did restrain myself though, so DH wouldn't realize what a Disney Geek I am.

It's always a pleasant surprise to meet Our Kind out there - people who appreciate Disney and like to talk about it.

My next door neighbor and us have many conversations about our mutual obsession. Also my friends husband is just as polluted as us, but she is not.

It is fun having others that understand. That's why I have you all! ::yes::

I work with a man that used to work at WDW (he told my kids he used to date Snow White and they think he's totally cool now:teeth: ). There's a lady I work with that just got back from WDW in August. We Disney talk a lot.:teeth:

I just found out that my best guy friend Scott here at school and his roomie my friend Ryan LOVE disney...I was so excited.
We were talking about going to disney for spring break...That would be so much fun!

There's a couple who's DD is on the same cheerleading squad as my DD and they are Disney people too (that's what I call us). It's so much fun to talk Disney with them. DH and I were very surprised when our neighbor who DH goes to the races with told us he loves Disney movies and collects them. It's really cool when you find out others share our love of all things Disney. :D

Yes, always good when we find more of us. :teeth:

The Athletic director at my school is a fellow DVC member. Our librarian goes once a year. One of our counselors used to go a lot but not so much since his kids are all grown and gone.
I'd rather have a chat with them than people who give me the "you're going AGAIN?" attitude.

I'm still waiting to meet some of "our kind" in the real world. So far, I have to hang close to the DIS to me around "our kind".

I think I'm in the same boat as nativetxn:boat: I don't know hardly anyone in real life that's into WDW like I am. :earsboy:

Ive meet a few people here and there but most Ive meet because of the internet. Most across the nation but some in my own back yard- I have the logo of my "home boards" on my backpack and the button on my work vest and have met several people that way.

There are Disney lovers everywhere! We just need to seek them out... (heck I got 3 Disneyland newbies going with me to DL next month!)

There are 3 DVC owners on my DW's floor at work! ( including ourselves) When we joined DW was bragging and both them said " We are Disney nuts too. Both of them never mentioned they were DVC owners before that.. amazing .

Actually I haven't meet people who like Disney as much as me, but any time I talk about Disney to my few friends or my family they listen and never complain. :teeth:

There is another couple at our church. We do not always go at the same time, but I love it when we are there together. We usually get to visit a little bit about the parks and our or their upcoming trips on the way out. :wave2:

On my son's math homework today was a post it note from his teacher. It said, "I'm going on a Disney Cruise in April." During conferences we quickly discuss my son and then get on to the good stuff. DISNEY:p

I'm so old I remember seeing that movie and boy was I:scared1:

Besides my sister I don't know anyone IRL who likes Disney as much as me.

I think we all need to wear a secret insignia, maybe a special ring or tiny Mickey tattoo (temporary in my case) to identify ourselves to each other!

That's why my kids and I get so excited when we see someone else with a Mickey antenna ball! It's like our own secret code!
