~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

Haha...that is good! And all those are good things right?

Oh for sure!! I absolutely meant them as a compliment!:goodvibes You are super photogenic and I have yet to see a "bad" picture of you. You look gorgeous in all of them.princess:

I absolutely love MS! I started on the Green side, and was like, "Ho hum." I and a friend immediately got off and went to the fastpasses so we could come back later with my daughter. I rode MS's orange 3 more times in October! I can't wait to ride it again! It really is tough on people who are really claustorphobic, though.

LoL...you make me giggle with the "ho hum" part.

Aw...you are so nice! :goodvibes

I'll take that advice!

No way will I be riding this one. :faint:

Ugh, me either MeMom! :thumbsup2

dropping by to say

Hi

HI SCOTT! :yay:

Attraction of the Day...

The Racecars

Yeah, I know that's not the real name of them but that's what we call them. I'll never forget riding with my sis the first time she was big enough to drive them. It was a jerky ride! We kept going back and forth bumping the bumper from each side. She was being so serious and trying to drive good. It was cute! :cutie:

And then...back in '05 when it was my B/F's first time at WDW, he couldn't wait to ride the racecars. He's a big NASCAR and racing fan so he was pumped. Well, I failed to mention that they are S-L-O-W. :rolleyes1 So, I rode with him (yes we fit in the car haha) and the whole time he was like "C'mon! Why isn't this thing going any faster?!" and freaking out. And then he goes "I think a snail just passed us."

I haven't been on the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway since I was 5! I just remember being so excited to drive whenever we went on the racecars at a theme park - so fun!

Haha, wow since you were 5?! :scared1:

 Yep! Not since my first trip. The line's always so long and slow that it's not worth it to drive a fake car when there's SPACE MOUNTAIN right across the path! :woohoo: ;)

Haha thats so funny about your BF on the speedway. I've only been on it once with my brothers in 2004. I can never understand the loooooooong line for that one. :confused3

The line is always crazy long, isn't it?! :scared: :confused3

It drives me crazy! Ali usually likes stuff like that too but I'd hate to waste time waiting on line so I have to shield her from the ride

Mission Space: UM, NO THANKS! I am afraid of space. Seriously! How is the earth just floating there in the galaxy??? And then where is the galaxy floating?! WHERE DOES IT END?! Yeah, freaks me out. A LOT. I'm weird I know:)

Star Tours: This kind of goes along with my fear of space, but even more than that it's a motion sickness thing. I can't do upside down or "spinny rides" for the same reason. Yuck!

Racecars: Funny story. Ya know how the walkway of the queue line goes over part of the track where you're like coming into the loading area? Well last year my friend who I had been trying to get a hold of for a few days finally called me back while I was driving right there. So I answer it and some guy in line starts screaming at me about how I can't talk on the phone while I drive! LOL! :lmao:

The Racecars

I never ride them.. always decide I would rather do something else.. maybe this trip I'll make time.. hehe

Mission Space

My DH and I rode it not knowing a whole lot about it- in short- we both hated it.. it made us sick, wasn't fun, and we didn't like the gravity feeling. I'm guessing Disney caught on because they made a moderate version- that supposedly doesn't have any gravity feeling and stuff.. but idk about the space thing.. if theres more room or not. We won't ride that again.. if we do.. it will be the new moderate one.

OMG, the Indy Speedyway has to be one of the most frustrating things EVER. My little sister is absolutely obsessed with them, and any ride like it, but for some reason it always has the longest queues, I don't quite understand why, I mean its hardly thrilling :lmao: But since she wanted to do it we all graciously queued, for about 40 minutes (compared to 10 or less for everything else), and it was actually quite a laugh. I went on with my Mum and was bumping us all over the place. I mean I know you can hardly go anywhere () but I kept hitting the track all the time, my Mum got quite worried that my real driving would be like that :rotfl:

DS loves the Tomorrowland slowway, lol. :rotfl:

My kids like the Speedway.
I told my DS he could drive his sister and I would drive with my DMom. I kept telling him he actually drives the car and he argued that I was fooling him. He said "the cars just move around on a track."
Silly boy, I wouldn't lie.
He was shocked when he put his foot on the gas and it went. He tried to catch up to me ahead of him but as mentioned before....it went too slow.
DD had the best time and laughed all around the track. :)

He did the same thing on Peter Pan the first time.
I told him we fly around in a boat above the city.
He said "you just sit in a boat that goes around on a track".
I told him there's no track under us that we ride on. HeHe!
He was looking down at the track convinced he was right and when we took off, for a moment he was "Wow, you are right there's no track, we are flying".....
Silly boy, Mom's never lie. :rotfl:

We were talking the other day and he said "you never lie about anything". My lips are sealed, what he doesn't know won't hurt him. I guess he's forgotten the whole Toothfairy, Santa, Easter Bunny thing. :lmao:

OMG the Speedway.:rotfl:

Okay, in December we went to MVMCP. There were very, very few attractions my brother wanted to go on. Apparently you turn 20 and become too cool for Disney? Nobody gave me the memo!:rotfl: Anyway, suddenly he really really wanted to go on the Speedway. I told him that the cars were on a track and it wasn't like Go Carts but he insisted so I caved.

Gentleman that he is, he let me drive. I was absolutely WRETCHED. I kept bumping from side to side and I couldn't go straight and I'm pretty sure the 10 year olds beside me were more skilled than I was. Seriously, it was pretty bad. I don't think he let it go for hours and sometimes still when I get in the car he brings it up and makes fun of me for it. I promise I'm a better driver in real life!:rotfl2:

Haha..you aren't missing much on the racecars!

Well let me know if you ever do the moderate version!

I think that if you're a kid..it's perfect!

Haha, well I'm over 20...and I will NEVER be too cool for Disney! It's so hard keeping the car straight I swear!

Attraction of the Day...

Stitch

Okay, who else thinks that they should change this into a Lilo & Stitch ride about the movie?! I think that would be so awesome!

We've only been on this one time and that was enough! I had read on here before we went about the chilli-dog burp so I plugged my nose for that part! It just wasn't fun at all. I'm claustrophobic so I hated being strapped in like that over my shoulders. They came down so low on me that I had to slouch! It was annoying.
