Attraction of the Day...
It's A Small World
Okay I have no big memory from here. But..I love waving at the lil' kids who are eating at Pinnochio's and have their noses pressed up against the glass hoping someone would see them. They always light up a big smile and wave back.![]()
Holy bologna!!!!!!!! I just now found this from your siggy and I am on page 31!!!!!!! Geez louise!!!!!
But, I'm in!!!![]()
I've seen that the Disneyland one has you getting on the ride outside...is that right?
Yep, you do board outdoors. I actually like theirs better only because it gets decorated for Christmas. And I heard it just reopened and they added in a bunch of Disney characters so that would be interesting to see!
Hello miss! Just saying hi quick before I have to go get in the shower to go to my teaching certification test. I already told you I don't have a memory for IaSW butttt yours is so cute!! Thats sweet of you guys![]()
That sounds cool! And what Disney characters got added? Are they dressed like whatever room they're in?
my coolest memory of maelstrom is from last september when erica and i rode it and i realized after we sat down that i knew the girl in front of us - it was kelly (a/k/a philadisney) from the disboards! the reason i recognized her so fast is because she's also famous - she was on TLC's "what not to wear" and i had followed her thread about that. it was so cool to meet her! and even cooler was that she had a new alice in wonderland bag......take THAT stacy and clinton!!!
I saw pictures and it looks very cool! They are all placed in the countries they are from, take a look! http://land.allears.net/blogs/lauragilbreath/2009/02/its_a_small_world_reopens_at_d.html
Attraction of the Day...
Maelstrom
I love finding the hidden Mickey's on the big mural at the loading area...and I can remember our first time riding this. Sis and I had no idea what to expect, so we held hands the whole ride.During the backwards part, we looked at each other like "What the heck is going on?!"

IASW - Not sure if this counts as a memory, but it's a story! My parents took my cousins (so, their nieces and nephews) to WDW during the middle of the summer when my mom was 6 months pregnant. While my dad took all of the kids to other rides, a CM let my mom sit in an IASW boat for almost 2 hours. She was miserably hot trying to walk around, and the CM grabbed her, put her in a boat, and told her to stay as long as she liked. Now, that ride is one of my favs. DM says it's because it was officially my first WDW ride.
Maelstrom - Not any major memory here; sorry!! DH and I didn't ride it on our honeymoon, so I want to do it this time around!
Haha, that's funny. I think the backward part throws everyone off. The first time we rode it, my brothers and I freaked out because we really thought we were going backwards over the falls. This was us:

Hmmm, Maelstrom...don't have too many memories from it since we don't ride it a whole lot. But on our trip in December we went on it and at the end of the ride we got off the boat and had to wait outside the theater. For whatever reason we were standing there for quite a while so the CM at the end had this spiel like "Welcome back brave Vikings..." I don't remember the whole thing but we must've heard it a dozen times! It was so annoying. LOL.
Attraction of the Day...
One Man's Dream
Our first time going through this, we were in awe of everything in there! We stayed and watched the movie at the end, and it was so great! We still spend so much time looking through everything in there. It's a shame that so many people just walk on by this. I love going to One Man's Dream because in a way, I feel like I'm paying a tribute to Walt. He was a great man.
