Happy Valentines Day!
My Test Track story is that we waited atleast 2 hours for it when it first opened. It was the last day of our trip and we really wanted to do it. Of course it broke down right as we got to the front of the line but luckily they fixed it. It's funny because Dad says that it was amazing how patient we were since it was something we wanted to do. haha
On our trip in May there was this group of college-age kids in front of us. Some of the guys ended up in the same car as us and it was obviously their first time on the ride. When we went in the hot/cold chambers the one guy said "That's wicked hot!" or "That's wicked cold!" You should have heard them screaming as we were out on the track. Needless to say they really enjoyed the ride. Gotta love seeing other people's reactions.![]()
I don't think I really have any over-the-top memories from Test Track, but I do from the Carousel of Progress and I missed yesterdays! I loooveeee the Carousel of Progress! It's so simple yet completely unique and a ton of fun. I saw it for the first time on our trip in 2005 and was completely amazed... I had read about the theater spinning but it was cooler than I'd even expected. My parents also loved it, and when we went on it again in 2007 they sang the ENTIRE time! Everytime "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" came on, they were singing and clapping along, louder than anyone elseFor two people who were skeptical about even going to Disney back in 05, they sure do love it now!

Test Track ~ I don't have to write anything here...I can just show you!![]()
First time I rode Test Track was back in 2003. Apparently I wasn't too bright, because when we were headed towards the wall... I thought we were actually going to crash! In the ride photo, I am actually bracing myself with my eyes squeezed shut. When my family saw it, they made fun of me for the rest of the trip. Of course, they bought the photo and love to show it to people.
"Remember the time when she actually thought the ride was going to crash?"![]()
But... I DID!
The Imagineers pulled one over one me!![]()
No particularly interesting memories but it always makes me laugh as my little sister gets so excited on it. She is just mad about cars, despite being a 12 year old girl, and has been for many years. So on TT she spends he whole time squealing with joy, especially the fast bit
Test Track!!!! I love Test Track - its the best! DD7 loves it too - the fast bit at the end is fantastic!
The last time we were there DD7 sat in the middle of Dh and I. She is a bit of a joker and loves to indulge in the famous bunny ears behind people in pictures.
So at the moment of the pic DH and I made them behind her head.
When we got to the pictures her face was a picture! She was so mad and did not see the funny side at all! Well eventually she did but it took a while!!! Needless to say we all thought it was funny and the people in the back of our car were killing themselves laughing at her reaction.
We promised not to do it again!![]()
For the longest time the only people in my family who would ride TT was me, my aunt, my uncle, and the older one of my brothers. Well, the one time we got my mom, dad, and second brother on it, the ride shut down due to rain. DAunt, DUncle, DM, DD, and younger DB rode in one car while older DB and I rode in another car. We ended up being several cars apart because of the way the queue fell. My brother and I got trapped with this Asian family who couldn't speak a word of English and just kept giggling nervously every time we stopped. We tried to reassure them, but I don't think it did much good.![]()
As for the rest of the family? They came to a dead stop on the banked section of outside track in the rain!Mom still refuses to ride after that, and our poor brother (who was just eight or nine at the time) was fairly traumatized for a couple years.
My other brother and I couldn't help but laugh though.Especially when they told us about how they were all sort of squishing each other because of the leaning track.

Happy Valentine's Day!!![]()
Happy Valentines Day!
about that CM. I wonder if they were new?
My favourite Fantasmic! memory was from a few trips ago... we were sitting beside a family with a little boy who was about 4? And throughout the whole "scary" part of was hunched over going "ohnoohnoohnoohnoohnoohnoohno", whispering to himself quietly. It was the cutest thing. He was so concerned about Mickey and once Mickey came back out, he was bouncing around, smiling and giggling. Really sweet.
my favorite fantasmic memory is a more recent one (that i haven't gotten to yet on my TR!). this past trip we were watching the show and when snow white starts singing, "some day my prince will come," ray was kind of singing along really low and so was anna and they both realized it and started singing louder together. it was really funny to hear my hubby and my best friend singing THAT song together!you can hear it on the video that ray took so i will have that to share with you soon enough.
Fantasmic ~ I haven't seen this since 2007. I don't remember a whole lot of details. I know we loved the show and it'd be my dream come true to go backstage and take pics with all those characters!
Fantasmic!...I don't know why, but before the show I just get a kick out of when the wave gets started. It's so funny!
Fantasmic, now I do have a couple of proper memories for this one. The first was on my Mum, Dad and Sophie's first trip. It was a first for us all seeing the show, but it was January and so, so cold (like so cold you wear gloves). Bitter coldness, sitting around and getting wet are really not a good combination
The other memory was from our trip last May. We got there about 45mins before and ended up having this family with 2 little kids behind. Dad went off to get drinks and Mum decided to have a 15 minute phone conversation in which time the oldest boy (must have been about 4) keeps hitting into our backs and making so much noise. Despite giving the Mum looks to let her know this was getting really annoying, she really didn't care and paid no attention to her kids. Then a few minutes later the older boy snatches a toy off the baby causing him to fall over and hit his head on our bench. The Mum only then stops her conversation but still doesn't seem to care. We know have 2 crying kids behind us (the older boy got in BIG trouble) which didn't stop for about 20 minutes. Really some people are just soooo rude.
Test Track...We were at pm EMH at Epcot. It was right before closing and we ran into the TT line, which wasn't long AT ALL. This was our first time to ride TT so we were really excited. We quickly got into the preview room, and based on previous ride experiences, I thought we would be loading into cars on the other side. I was SHOCKED to see the length of the line on the other side of that room. But it was moving quickly...until...TT shut down. THe CMs couldn't say definitely WHEN it would be back up, but thought it would...so we waited...and waited...and waited...we talked with all the people around us. Some people started freaking out about the bus transportation and whether or not it would still be running, etc. Many were leaving...many stayed. We did finally get to ride the ride and we all LOVED it. We walked out of Epcot over one hour after closing from pm EMH. I think it was after 1 am. Yay! The buses were still working.

Fantasmic...I just remember being so amazed at the scenes projected on the mist. I thought the show was incredible. I loved it.
FOTLK ~ We've only done this one time but both of my older kids were asked to help in the show. DD loved this! She was helping them do all kinds of stuff. DS was being shy...he walked a circle and ran back to our bench.I have some great pics from it. This is a MUST do for me this time! Time to see it again!
Ahhh I'm so behinddddddd....
Test Track I actually have a memory!! Woot wootI remember waiting on line with my family back in 2001 for this ride and apparently the line was insanely long because we were waiting outside of the queue...if only I knew then the things I knew now! Anyway we're waiting and I went to scratch my head and there was a bee in my hair and it stung my finger! Luckily I'm not allergic so it wasn't a big deal but its the first and only time I've ever been stung by a bee. Then when we finally got on the ride I remember my whole family really loving it.
Fantasmic I also have a little memory of. Although I was with extremely crappy company the first and only time i've seen this show, I remember how much I loved it! I was definitely sucked into the magic that night.
FOTLK, no memories![]()
Hi my dear. So it's funny to be commenting you while I"m also talking to you on the phone. lol. OMG a bee in your hair?! I hate bees. I have a traumatic experience from wasps when I was younger...![]()
You have to go see Fantasmic again and FOTLK!
You have to tell me about your traumatic experience! And Chris and I WILL be seeing both shows in April. We're actually doing the Fantasmic dinner package with Mama Melrose soooo I'm excited!
