Our flight gets in barely after midnight...

New dilema. Our flight comes into MCO at 12:05a. I was hoping to stay at the Hyatt for the night, then do ME to the onsight hotels the next day. But the prices I am getting for Hyatt are a small fortune. Plus coming in after midnight, can I even check in at that time of night? Most places have a check in at like 3:00p or 4:00p. Do we sleep on the plane and lounge around the airport until we can get picked up by ME. This flight time is really causing me problems. I can't be the only person to have flown in at a time like this. What have others of you done? Any suggestions?

I have checked into many hotels after midnight. As long as you have guaranteed your room with a credit card you should have no problem. All chain hotels staff their front desks all night. The 3:00 and 4:00 check in times you see are the earliest times you can check in and expect to have your room available. You can check in any time after that.

Agree with the PP. You can check in anytime... in fact, for piece of mind, tell the hotel to make a note on your file that you will be checking in late when you make the reservaton.

Here's what I would do. Make a reservation for one night at an inexpensive hotel near Disney (Try Priceline's bidding feature). Take the hotel's free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. The next day, take a cab to your Disney hotel.

I think if you linger around at the airport all night, you won't be well rested and your sleeping schedual will be off for the first part of the trip.

have fun!

I would bid for a cheap hotel on Hotwire. And if you have an Entertainment Book, you can get $20 back from Hotwire with a rebate inside the book. The hotels list if they have a shuttle and their times. If no shuttle is available that late, you can take a cab to the hotel, and book the shuttle for return to the airport in the morning, and get on the DME. You might also get a free breakfast to boot from the offsight hotel.

I wouldn't wait it out at the airport because you never know when your resort room will be ready.

You can get DME 24 hours a day. If you want to go ahead and go to your WDW resort.

You can also go to www.betterbidding.com and research the Hyatt so that you can bid through Hotwire or Priceline. From what I gather you will almost certainly get it using the info on that site. I have seen posts that people are getting it for around $60. You can even do a search here on the DIS and find that info.
