Sounds great, you have some restaurants I've never even considered. Very cool DH is getting so involved in the planning :) I hope he's feeling a bit better.

The only DVC card I've ever gotten sounds like the same one you have. They gave me a new one when the logo changed and it doesn't have any kind of barcode on it, just my name and member number.

Just a tip for when you are staying at BWV...when you go to MK area resorts for dinner (Cali Grill, Artist Point), remember that in order to take the monorail to MK from Epcot, you have to walk to Epcot or take the boat there, enter through the International Gateway (World Showcase area, between France and UK), walk all the way to the front of the park, exit the park and then take the monorail. The easier thing to do is take the MK bus and then walk to the Contemporary, or take the boat to Wilderness Lodge. As an alternative, you could walk or take the boat to DHS and then take the appropriate resort bus from there, but that would take longer for MK area resorts in my opinion.

Another tip...if you are up for walking, it only took us 12 minutes to walk from our room at BWV (standard view across from the bus stop) to the entrance of DHS, and that was walking with a 5- and 7-year-old. The boat first stops at BC/YC, then at S/D, and then goes to DHS. It does the reverse on the way back from DHS. We took the boat back one day and just got off ay S/D and walked because it was taking so long and we still had 2 stops to go! The good thing is that for Epcot, it is a straight ride from BWV and back to BWV! But we just walked. We only took the boat once because it happened to be right there when we exited the park.

You have some great restaurants planned! The day you go to Via Napoli for lunch and Yachtsman for dinner will feel very relaxed because you have a very short commute to get to both of those! Short walk to YC and short walk or boat ride to Epcot! :thumbsup2 And both are very good restaurants!

I'm excited for lots of new restaurants that we'll be trying. And very excited for some old favorites like Artist Point and Cali Grill :cool1:

Okay weird. Maybe I should call Member Services to verify that this is the card I can use for discounts, because it seemed like the CM that was working the register at the restaurant had worked there for a while, so she knew what she was talking about when she said that wasn't the correct card. Because when you ask for the AP discount, they have to swipe your AP card don't they? I thought it would be the same for the DVC card but I guess not..

Thank you so much for all the great tips! I hadn't even considered taking the monorail from Epcot to MK. I just assumed taking the bus from BWV to MK to get anywhere we needed to go.

It didn't take you long at all to get from BWV to DHS on foot did it?! Plus, the weather will hopefully be really nice so it would be a great walk. Honestly, I forgot about the boat too:blush: I guess I need to do some more transportation research.

I think we're really going to enjoy that day where we'll be at Epcot for Lunch and then Yacht Club for dinner. It's going to be really relaxing and we'll probably need it after what looks like, a crazy first few days of changing resorts, etc.

You are correct that it is easier to take the MK bus from BWV than it is to walk all the way through Epcot and then exit the park through the front, take the Epcot monorail and then transfer to the monorail to get to MK. This is what I meant. A lot of people assume that since BW, BC and YC are Epcot area resorts and you could walk to Epcot from them, that you could walk to the monorail. This is not the case, unless you enter Epcot through the Int'l Gateway, walk through the entire park and exit through the front. So there are many people that don't realize this requires not only a park hopper, but a lot of walking, and would take longer than the bus.

The boats are great! Especially if you are really tired and just don't feel like walking back to the resort...you can just relax on the boat ride! :thumbsup2

We never did a split stay. A lot of people love to do them because they get to see different resorts and it gives them a change in the theming. Some also do it for convenience to certain parks. For example, a family may stay at BLT for 3 nights and go to MK from there since it is walking distance, and then stay at BCV for a few nights and go to Epcot and DHS from there since they are so close. You have 2 beautiful resorts planned. AKV is just so unique, with the animals roaming around. Kidani Village is very nice. We were there in 2010 when we went to Sanaa for dinner (which is excellent), and we were impressed by the look of things. It's also more secluded than the rest of the resorts (it's further from the parks and the hustle and bustle of WDW in general), which is nice too. And of course, as you know, we love our home BWV! You will love both! :thumbsup2

Not sure about your questions, but I wanted to post and say that I am glad your hubby received a diagnosis and treatment plan! It sucks that he has to go through this, though.

Also, you look super cute! Can't wait to hear about your baby shower in a few weeks! =)

Plans sound great!! I don't think Fantasyland or EPCOT will be any more crowded than normal but I just don't know. It's been a really long time since they've done any major renovations of any kind to any of the parks so I don't remember how nuts it gets after that. Plus you're going at a pretty dead time so even if everyone does flock to those areas of the parks I still don't think it will be all that bad.

Hi everyone!

So my baby shower is this Saturday and i'm soooo excited for it! My SIL and I have been working very hard on it, so we can't wait until we're able to see the finished product. I'm especially excited about my cake pooh::tigger: And i'll definitely be showing all of you guys the pictures from the shower. So that's the reason I haven't been on here the past week. There are still some things that need to be done, so you probably won't see me on here until after the shower takes place.

Aside from this, i've been very uncomfortable the past 3 days or so. I've had this really weird cramping feel, but it doesn't feel like Braxton Hicks since i've been getting those now for a while. These cramps feel like, TMI, diarrhea type cramps and then my lower back and legs get really numb and feel weird. I can't really explain it. I also feel really dizzy and want to throw up. In fact, i'm getting ready to go to the doctor in about 2 hours to get swabbed for...oh geez, now I can't remember what it's for. But i'm definitely going to ask her about these different pains. Today, i'm exactly 35 weeks. So 5 (or hopefully fewer) weeks left until the little man makes an appearance. But i'm really hoping all these things i'm feeling are just normal. These pains have made me realize that I need to get a hospital bag together and pronto! So i'll be starting on that tonight, hopefully.

This also makes me realize that I need to start getting some freezer dinners together at some point for later on when I don't feel like cooking. Man, it seems like everything has kind of sprung up on me all at once, even though I knew earlier on that I would have to have these things together at some point. :upsidedow

I'm going to do as much catching up as I can right now on everyones TR's before I head out!

ETA: So I started thinking the other day...would anyone be friends with my on FB if I made a FB for my upcoming trip? Right now I have a private FB but im thinking about making one for little updates for you guys?? I'm pretty sure people on my private FB would hate seeing so many Disney updates, and i'd rather just have people on my FB that really care about my vacation instead of asking, "AGAIN WITH DISNEY!?!?" or "DIDN'T YOU JUST HAVE A BABY AND HE'S AT DISNEYWORLD?!" So let me know!

I would love to hear about your trip via Facebook!

Hope your weird feelings are nothing serious! How is your DH?

I hope the doctors appointment goes well. That sounds very unpleasant. I don't go on FB, would you still update on here too?

Hope you feel better and that your appointment goes well. Keep us updated on what your doctor says. I would love FB updates. :)

I hope everything went well for you at the doctor, and that you can find some relief. It could be that the baby is pressing on a blood vessel, making you feel dizzy...but I don't know about the cramping. I do know that 3 and a half weeks before my due date with my first, it was New Year's Eve and I was at home by myself (DH was working as a massage therapist in the city at the time and about to leave work) getting ready. While I was combing my hair, as I was looking into the mirror, my sight got affected and I could barely see a thing. It was very scary. My head was hurting a little too, but very mild. I called the doctor and he said that if it is still like that in 10 minutes, go right to the hospital and the hospital would contact him. And so I did, my parents took me and Eric met us there from work. I was really scared, and they had to monitor my blood pressure for a couple of hours. Blood pressure was perfect (that was what the doctor was worried about). They did a sonogram, kept me on the baby monitor for about 3 hours, then they sent me home. I had been feeling better for about an hour at that point, no sight problems or headache.

The second pregnancy, about 5 weeks before my due date just like you, I came home from work and my ankles were VERY swollen (I had no problem with swelling in the second pregnancy until that point). I had a bad headache too. I called the doctor when the swelling didn't go down by elevating my feet, and Tylenol wasn't relieving the headache. He told me to go to the hospital and have them check my blood pressure, and they would contact him. So I went, and they again monitored me for about 3 hours, did a sonogram and then sent me home. Blood pressure was perfect, everything was fine.

In both of the cases I just described, the doctor said that the baby was most likely pressing on a blood vessel, that they run out of room after a while and tend to stay in the same position for a while, even if that is pressing on something unpleasant for us.

I bet you are being swabbed for Strep B, right? That is routine at this point. I tested positive both times. It's nothing bad, just that if you test positive you have to tell them when you get to the hospital when you are in labor or your water breaks. They will give you an antibiotic through the I.V. so Strep B doesn't affect the baby. There is a certain number of hours which is ideal to be on the antibiotic (I think around 8) before delivery, but I was only on it for about 4 hours before I gave birth to my little one, so don't worry if the time is shorter than what they say is the ideal.

I hope this all helps...and I hope you are feeling better. It could also be something like a little virus you caught and that would pass in a day or 2. Be well, enjoy your baby shower on Saturday, and try not to stress too much! And you are right, these things all do kind of creep up on you, and time will fly even more once he is born!

Yes you are getting swabbed for strep B like the previous posted said. I would love to stalk...*ahem* FOLLOW (LOL) you on fb! I couldn't answer all your questions about WDW since I've never been but it sounds fun!

After the shower its so great to finally get the last prep ready and do whatever shopping you want. I always waited to do the bulk of my baby shopping till after. Its hard!

It sounds like you are having contractions, but it sounds like the contractions (or baby) is/are putting pressure on a nerve and/or blood vessel. I would feel like that if I laid flat on my back. I felt sick, dizzy, sweaty & like I was gonna pass out. Let us know what the drs say.

How's hubby doing?

Hello Everyone!

Was trying to post yesterday, but couldn't upload my photos for my blog, but the baby shower post is all done and here is the link!

http://buildingacrowsnest.blogspot.com/

Okay, so updating from my last post:

- I'll be setting up a FB as I get closer to our trip date so stay tuned!

-The baby was definitely on a nerve. Also, last Friday, I was 80% effaced, not dilated. I have my next appointment tomorrow (ALREADY!) so i'm looking forward to seeing how far i've progressed in the last week, that is if I have at all. No weight gain and am still measuring where I'm supposed to be, baby's heart rate is still high and good. And yes, she did swab me for Strep and was worried it would hurt but nope! Thank goodness. Excited about my appointment tomorrow especially since i'm getting closer.

- DH had a doctor appointment yesterday. The doctor was telling him he should not be experience any type of burning pain that he has been experiencing and prescribed him a type of steroid medication. He said, if this medication works, then that's good. But if it doesn't work, he's going to have to get a CT scan because it's probably something else:( I'm REALLY praying this medication helps him. He just started taking it last night so we don't know if it works yet so let's hope it works.

Hope you all will check out my blog post! Will be back!

So are you still in pain? I hope he's off the nerve. I'm glad everything is progressing on schedule :)

I hope DHs medicine works.

Hi Lesha - the baby shower looked amazing! I love the theme :goodvibes and really like your dress too, you look really well, hope everything is going ok - only 4 weeks to go? Wow!

Emma princess: x

Hi!! I hope your hubby is doing well, and that this new medicine works for him. Praying for you guys!

I hope you are feeling better and that the baby has shifted to make you more comfortable. 80% effaced already? That's great!! When you go tomorrow, if you are the same, try not to let it frustrate you. With my second one, on my due date I was still not dilated at all, but a day and a half later I was in full labor!! It can happen at any moment, so hang in there if you find yourself getting discouraged.

Wishing you well for tomorrow's appointment!!

Baby shower looked amazing!!! Such a super cute and sweet theme! My favorite part was the food coordinating with the theme :)

Love the baby shower!! Hope you go into labour sooner than later ;) I was 2cm dilated and 90% effaced for over 2 weeks which sucked! BUT my labour lasted only 6 hours from first pain to holding DS so my body did a lot of the work before actual labour started ;) Hope he's moved off that nerve for you, it can be so uncomfortable towards the end!

Hope those pain meds give your DH some relief!

The baby shower looks amazing. You look great as well. The decorations came out great. Now the fun part begins of putting everything together and getting everything ready. :goodvibes Hope DH's medicine works.
