Our first trip and our honeymoon at Disney World, what could go wrong?

So after sitting and enjoying the view for awhile we decided to head back to our chairs and pack up our stuff and head back to the ship. I had to limp most of the way since putting to much pressure on my foot bothered it. Finally arriving back at the tram stop we decided to rinse off at the showers first and I took these last piccys of Serenity Bay.

http://

http://

Then we waited for the tram which came fairly quickly and pretty soon we were back at the family side of the island.

We took some more pictures as we made our way back to the ship.

Then I realized it was getting really late and I wanted to go into the store to get a souvenier. I had about 10min to figure out what I wanted before they kicked us out. We ended up getting some really good stuff, magnets, picture frames and some shirts for both of us. As we exited the store we saw the first aid building just across the way and DH had one last stab at getting me to go over and have them look at my foot. I finally gave in and went inside. There was one lady in there and she was getting ready to leave as well. Anyway I explained the situation and without even looking at my foot she said it was in fact a sea urchine I stepped on and I should be fine, just take a pain killer and try to soak my foot in hot water to help get the pieces out. As soon as we left the building she walked out, locked up and was gone in a flash.

SHEEESSSH!!!!!! LADY SORRY TO BOTHER YOU.

I look at hubby and tell him that was pretty much pointless. O'well at least I went right.

We continue our walk back towards the ship and get to the tram stop that will take us the rest of the way.

http://

We opted to continue walking instead of getting on the tram. I loved this sign.

And that concludes today's installement of hubbys artsy fartsy photos. I do hope you have enjoyed the presentation. :rolleyes1

Anyway we get back on board and head to our stateroom and upon arriving we see we have messages on the phone. Who the heck would be calling us?

The first message was from guest services telling us they have credited us back for our cancelled shore excursion from the day before. The second message I'm not sure who it was calling but the message itself was asking us if everything was okay because we had not been to our table service meals and they were wondering why. It ended with them saying they hoped to see us that evening. We have officially insulted the Disney Cruise line and our servers by not showing up for dinner in two days. At first I felt bad, but in the end you know what happened. :rotfl2: :lmao: I got a really good laugh out of that one.

So I head to the bathroom to fill up the tub with scalding hot water to nurse my urchine friend and try to coax him outta my foot. I lasted for about 10min in the tub because the bathroom on the ship is highly uncomfortable and I was feeling claustrophobic. Enough of that but at least my foot was numb and so I didn't feel anything. I take my shower and then DH takes his and we start getting ready for the evening. Of course we will be going to dinner tonight with our tablemates, how could we not after that lovely message and plus tonight was the Pirates in the Caribbean Party. :cool1:

Well I hope you guys enjoyed our island fun, it was really an experience for us. :rolleyes1

I will try to continue soon, in the meantime happy Disney Dreams.....pixiedust:

please tell your hubby i appreciate his photos, i am looking to get a new fancy schmansy camera so i too can take artsy fartsy photos. :thumbsup2
what are the chances of stepping on the urchin. aaarggghh, it wouldnt have been so bad had he not warned you to wear your water shoes. i hate it when husbands are right.

I love the artsy fartsy photos... good job hubby! Your pictures were lovely as well.

See now I have another spin on the whole hubby told you so thing. Hubby jinxed you! I would bet money that had he not said anything you would have been fine. It's like when someone tells me to drive safe I roll my eyes thinking "Great now I am going to hit a deer on the way home". Anyway that is my take on it. I suppose though for the sake of keeping things peaceful and letting him feel like a good caring hubby it is best to keep it that he was right.

Looking forward to hearing about your long lost table mates and servers.

Now I'm all caught up!! Sorry you stepped on a sea urchin--I can't imagine how much they hurt. My step-dad's mom owned a trailer down at the beach. We'd go swimming in the ocean like ALL the time and never stepped on one.

Love the photos as usual :) Especially of the Flying Dutchman!! Way cool!!!

First of all, I am loving your TR... it is so entertaining and your pictures are wonderful. DH's photos are great too. I have to say that I was laughing out loud reading the water trike part and I too would have begged my DH to go with me for the tubes... I can't wait for the dinner update.
:rotfl:

I just found your TR tonight & I LOVE it. You are doing a great job!! I am all caught up & waiting for the next installment. Keep up the great work! You had me laughing out loud a few times.. Cannot wait to read morepopcorn::

Just found your TR this afternoon and read the whole thing. I'm really enjoying it! My dh keeps asking me what I'm laughing at. It's very entertaining, but I'm not doing well with being left hanging. :lmao: I got spoiled reading all 13 pages and never having to wait long to find out what happens next. So come on...tell us more. :goodvibes

How did I get so far behind? Oh, I know, stupid work. :headache: Don't they know I have some dissin' to do? :snooty:
The trike story? this was me after reading it :lmao: I was actually laughing so hard I was crying.
I love all of the pics keep 'em coming.

Okay, trying my best to be 'patient' here:goodvibes . Enjoyed your adventures on the island, except for the misadventure with your foot and a denizen of the deep...Looking forward to reading your next installment...that dining table is waiting!

I relayed the message to my hubby that you liked his piccys and so now his head has swelled up. :lmao:

And yes I cannot stand it when husbands are right. He didn't let me live it down about the sea urchin for a long time.

Yes I told hubby that everybody was liking his artsy shots and like I said in the above response, now he has a swelled head. Pain in my butt!

I agree with you if he had just stayed quiet about it nothing would have happened to me. O'well, it's true I had to give him this one and let him be right about it. But secretly we all know the truth. :rolleyes1

Yeah the little bugger hurt for a bit then it was just uncomfortable for awhile. I go in the ocean all the time to and I have never had any incidents until now. I agree with the above statement that hubby jinxed me by telling me to wear water shoes.

Thank you so much, it makes me happy to know my TR is entertaining people. It was really an interesting honeymoon to say the least. :rotfl2:

I know, I know. Life has kinda gotten in the way and prevented me from updating, how dare it huh?

I promise to try and get the next installment out tomorrow so just be "patient" a little bit longer!

Alright so I left off with DH and I cleaning up after our day on Castaway Cay and getting ready to attend our first dinner with our tablemates after missing the first two nights. We had the late dinner seating so we had some time to walk around and do some shopping before then, so off we went. I had expected to see alot of people in pirate clothing for the evening because of the party but there actually wasn't that many people dressed up. DH and I had wanted to dress up but because of the wedding and all the running around we had been doing we just never got around to getting costumes for it before the cruise came.

Anyway we went into all the stores and looked around before we decided on some things to purchase. We ended up getting some more shirts and I of course got some more photo frames and we both got some more little trinkets here and there. Again I was thinking to myself how the heck are we gonna get all this stuff back home. :scratchin

I took a few pictures while I waited for hubby to pay for our purchases.

http://

Then I saw this sign and realized soon I would be doing what it says......

http://

Then before we new it, it was dinner time. Off to Tritons we went and believe it or not DH and I were nervous about dinner and meeting everybody. We thought they would think we had been antisocial or something.

So we get over there and we are shown to our table and there is only one other couple there when we arrive. We introduce ourselves and they are from the UK and so we talk to them for awhile and explain why we have missed two dinners. Pretty soon everybody else arrives and we are all seated and talking. It turned out to be six couples I believe it was at the table and all of us were celebrating something, either a honeymoon, anniversary, birthday. It was kinda funny and thankfully everybody was really, really nice and friendly. They did keep asking us what happened to us so we finally got it explained to everybody at the table. When our servers came out it was another story. I can't remember all there names except for one who was Sameer but they were hysterical. When they spotted DH and I one of them made a big deal about it and was like O'my God the newlyweds have decided to come up for air and join the rest of us, we are just so thankful that you could take time out to leave your stateroom and take a break to see the rest of the ship and join us. It was really funny and the jokes and jabbing went on for a good 5min or so. I was laughing and DH was blushing a bit.

Finally we got around to looking at our themed menu....

http://

And putting on our Pirate Bandannas.......DH looked kinda funny

http://

So did I actually......

http://

This was one of the appetizers we got, I have no idea why the string is on the plate.

http://

This was the other appetizer, a crab cake.

http://

And then it was time for dinner. I had some kinda pasta with lobster, crab and scallops in it.

http://

This was hubby's food, I think it might have been tenderloin but I'm not sure.

http://

All the food was fantastic, completely yummy and very filling. It was seriously like eating at a 5 star restaurant, we couldn't have been happier.

Coming up dessert.........

So as dinner was going on suddenly they started a little parade type thing in honor of Pirates night I suppose. They got as many people up outta there chairs as they could. I don't really have to many good pictures of everybody but here are a couple for you.

http://

http://

It was really cute and a good way to get the evening started.

Here is a picture of our tablemates, you can't see everybody but you can get an idea.

http://

Then it was time for dessert but DH and I new that part of the pirate party was having a desert bar later so we opted not to have any at dinner. Of course out of the blue our servers came out with this cake for us to celebrate our honeymoon.

http://

It was super yummy but huge, I mean seriously they need to scale it down a bit for just two people. Regardless we had our server wrap it up for us so we could take it back to the room. Sadly we never ate another piece of it after this night. There is just two much food on the cruise and everytime we found ourselves in the room we had usually just eaten something and so the cake never got touched.

So as we started to leave Tritons I had DH take a picture of this mural on the wall because I thought it was so pretty.

http://

Coming up later we head out to Party like a Pirate......

Sorry I haven't been around the last few days. Love the pictures of that restaurant!!!

Glad your table mates were nice and not mad at you guys. So on a cruise do you each with the same people every night in different restaurants ? Also does the same serving team follow the group ?

For whatever reason I thought all that was served on a cruise were buffets. Possibly with food that sits out all day waiting for people to come eat it. That was not appealing to me. Your pictures were very appealing to me. What did you table mates think when they saw you taking pictures of your food ?

I had some similar questions about the meals on a cruise. Is all the seating assigned in groups like that? What if you just wanted to sit at a table for two and have a private meal? Is that possible? I'm not sure I would like sharing all my meals each night with strangers. I'm not antisocial...as a matter of fact I'm always striking up conversations out in public with people I don't know. But on a vacation, I think I would prefer to just eat with my own family. Just curious. Glad you enjoyed your night! And thanks for the update.
