Our First Poly Vacation! April 14-21, 2012 - Live Report

Really enjoying your trip report. Have a quick question, how do you post your pics from an iPhone?

You still have to use a third party photo website like photobucket which is what I use. Photobucket has an app that will allow you to directly upload pics from your iphone or ipad.

Had another great day. We're down to only a couple of more days.*

Spent the day at AK beginning with a before the park opening ADR for Tusker House. Loved the food. Interactions were good but not as good as what we had at Ohana.*

Rode KS x2, EE, and Dinosaur. Kids got to ride the Triceratops Spin a couple of times and play in the Boneyard. Also saw FOTLK which is always a great show and Flights of Wonder for the first time and thought it was very good.

We got caught in a downpour for about 30 to 40 minutes right before the parade was suppose to start. Parade was sadly cancelled. Had our ponchos on and made our way to Planet Watch. *Met Rafiki himself - he's always a fun character with good interactions.*

Once the rain stopped, we headed back out and saw that the park had emptied out quite a bit and took advantage of it. Dinner at Boma was very good!*

I'm in love.....with Boma!

Made three trips to the buffet line and two trips to the dessert carts. If I eat anymore, I'm going to have to get wheeled out of here.

We love Boma. It is a great opportunity to taste foods that we don't normally experience and a pleasant break from the other restaurants. The only thing there I didn't like was, shocker, the zebra domes!

Had to run from CRT to Rapunzel to beat RD crowd but missed it by that much. 9 families in front, about 30 families behind at 9:10. I asked the CM there at the new location whether a parent would be able to hold a place in the line like at Fairytale Gardens and she said with the new configuration they would not be able to do that anymore and entire party needs to be here in line. Also the strollers need to be parked along the planter in front so dont head straight for the entrance with your stroller otherwise you'll have to repark and lose time.

We were out by 9:31am. CM said average wait time at new location have been 90 minutes during the day so it looks like RD is still best strategy.

OH WOW!! What a great shot! Can't wait to take this path next week. Really enjoying your live report.

Here's where we entered the trail. It's right through where the guy in the blue shirt on a cell phone is standing. It's between the entrance to It's tough to be a bug and russel/Dug's meet and greet. Just keep following it back. My wife kept asking if this was the right way as she thought it was the exit lane for the bug show.

I am soooooooo glad our daughter isn't into the whole princess thing so I don't have to worry about this. :)

Thanks! That helps a lot. We'll be entering from this side as well. BTW speaking of bugs... I've read reports the dreaded lovebugs are starting to show up - any sign of them that you've seen? :scared1:

The only ladybug I saw was Francis from A Bug's life showing on the Poly beach last night. ;)

In all seriousness, havent noticed any ladybug yet.

If you haven't noticed I guess that answers my question. The "lovebugs" not ladybugs apparently enter into a mating period around now and have been know to swarm everywhere making it difficult to find a place to sit. There was talk the the warm weather had brought them on a bit earlier than normal but if you're not seeing them yet then it can't be that big an issue. This is what they are talking about...

Yup, they are out in full force, but only at Blizzard Beach so far! They were so bad there..... Yuck!

oh no, the love bugs are out?! :( What do you think the chances are that they will be finished and gone in 6 days??? :rolleyes2 lol

Well, the rain pretty much washed out our afternoon today, and based on the forecasts, tomorrow will be washed out as well before we board our plane at 7:30pm. Any suggestions on what we could do to pass the time?

Had a fun dinner at 1900 Park Fare just now. Anastasia and Drizzela are worth the price of admission.

Ugh... Darn rain!! I hope the forecast is wrong and it clears for you tomorrow. :goodvibes

Thank you, daveinFallsChurchfor the posting info. Sorry your trip is ending, I have really enjoyed your report.

Well, the "Disney gods" were looking out for us today. The storm is now about to start and we have made it back to the Poly's GCH to take shelter after having a wonderful day at MK. The forecast kept pushing back the arrival of the storm. I think it kept a good number of people away from MK as this morning was the least crowded I've seen all week. We were able to ride Dumbo x2 and Barnstormer x5 in the first 30 minutes. I added an impromptu lunch at Crystal Palace this morning and the kids loved it! Small World and Pooh were practically walk ons when we boarded.

The storm on the radar looks like a doozy. We're suppose to be driving to the airport in one hour and it looks like I'll be driving during the peak of it.

We had an absolutely wonderful time and are very sad that our Disney vacation is coming to an end. Now I need to find a way to reinsert myself back to the real world. For those of you following along, hope you enjoyed it! Hope to start working on that trip report once I get back!

loved following along, and being there too!!! Wish I had said hi when we spotted you ! It stinks being home :(

Thanks for keeping us up on the goings ons :) Can't wait to hear and see more details when you get back and settled in.

It's been great following along. Safe travels home. We'll be leaving for the airport ourselves in about 7 hours from now. I hope we can all get to sleep! :yay::yay::yay:
