Our First Kidani Experience - Live

Thanks for the pics! The kitchen looks a little strange to me... a bit like it was plopped into a hotel room instead of designed there. I think it's because the sink / stool counter runs in a line from the door to the balcony instead of coming out from the wall. First time I noticed that. :confused3

Peeking off the balcony, the standard view looks fine to me - lots of natural vegetation out there & I'm sure even though the exotic animals aren't to be found there's plenty of wilderness left to be seen. :)

t feels just right in the room. But I think there should be something on the big blank wall to the left of the fridge. The lighting in the kitchen is also very nice.

Hope you don't mind, I lightened the photo is photoshop.

Nice pictures. The view isn't as bad as I thought it might be. Is that the bus stop? Love the tree coming out the roof!

I'm glad you're enjoying my home! I have to say that Kidani's 2 bedroom is my favorite 2 bedroom unit that I've stayed at so far. I can't wait to go back. If you haven't already, make sure to spend some time at the pool. It's my favorite pool on property because of the slide.

Our home as well. Sadly, we are now home, but looking forward to our next Kidani trip. The pool was great, we had tons of fun there. And you are right, the 2 br is awesome. I don';t know the next time we will be in one, but I think a 1 br will be our reservation for next June.

OK, so yesterday, we were waiting for the ME bus to arrive. And then the Purple Van pulls up. I say to DW, "I am going to go over and say hi." I walk over and out pops the driver and he says"Ed!" It was John. Here is the pic:

We love our owner's locker!

Just my 2 cents -
Why isn't the HS bus stop covered? I thought all bus stops were covered except the value resorts. The no CS restaurant is a big drawback. The resort is very beautiful, but I find it laid out odd. The pool and fitness areas are in front of the resort instead of hidden behind it, however the pool and slide are very cool. I still prefer to stay at Jambo.

The bus stop is covered at Kidani (I don't know what you mean by HS) The walkway out to it is not covered, which I do have issue with as I'm spoiled by VWL. Ed's second picture from his balcony shows this, there's even a bus & purple pants person down there down there ;):

HS is for Hollywood Studios and OP stated at beginning that DHS stop wasn't covered. Does that mean AKV has 1 big bus stop (well 2 with Jambo and Kidani) with park areas broken down at the stop?

I think the beauty is that we have the choice of Kidani or Jambo as AKV owners. It is plus. In terms of the pool being in the front, that struck me as odd at first, but it makes sense. And I think that when the Pembe Savanna opens, part of which will run next to the pool, the pool will definitely feel like it is inside the resort.

The DHS stop needs to be covered, and the walkway to the bus should be as well. I am sure they could find a way to do this and blend it with the wonderful theming at Kidani.

The location of the pool and fitness center are unusual, but it increases the number of Savanna View rooms which is a good thing for the guests.
