After watching Miyuki for a while, we decided to move on to the American Pavilion. Now, by this point DH and I were getting very tired of beer. It's sooo filling! But of course, we had to get beer at the American Pavilion. I had been hoping for some Jack Daniels for a Jack and Coke, but alas, it was not to be. So, here we are with our Sam Adams.
DH took off for a bit here (I can't remember where he went. Bathroom again, maybe?) And while I was waiting for him I had a delightful conversation with an elderly CM. He was so sweet! He asked about my Anniversary button, and he was so excited when I told him it was our first. Such a nice old man! He chatted with me for quite a bit, since he saw I was waiting for DH.

I've said this before, but I love those little interactions, and of course DH missed it!
So, on we went to Italy, where we discovered the delights of... an Italian Margarita. All I can say is; wow. It was SO unbelievably delicious!! It was limoncello, grappa and margarita mix, all swirled together with crushed ice in a delectable, frothy concoction that was heaven on my tongue. Yes. It was THAT good.
Some obligatory Italy pictures...
Now, I am lucky enough to have been to the Piazza de San Marco in Venice, and yes, it does look like that! (Well, it's bigger, and there's a ton of people, and it's loud, and there's a million freakin' pigeons flying around pooping on everything and everybody, but other than those minor details, the resemblance is definitely there!)
Oh, and here's the cute li'l gypsy cart.
Does anybody else get the gypsy song from Babes in Toyland stuck in their heads when they see something like this? Is it just me?
Anyway, after downing our incredibly delicious Italian Margarita, we went into Germany. At this point DH and I were pretty much done with beer, and alcohol in general. DH more so than I, but neither one of us could look a beer in the face at that point, and we knew that that was all we would find in Germany. So, we decided that our attempt to drink around the world would end in failure, but we shook our fists and vowed that we would be back again!!
and next time we would take all day to do it instead of trying to cram that many drinks into a short evening. Poor planning, I know.
But, we decided we would keep touring around while waiting for Illuminations, so here's some Germany pics.
In Germany we found Snow White and I have to say, she was ridiculously beautiful too!
We made it through Africa and China, where I took no pictures for some reason, and we decided to stake out a spot for Illuminations. DH started to not feel good at this point

so I left him sitting by the water while I went back to Germany to get him some food. It took me a while, but I made it back to our spot with a brat in hand for him and a pretzel for me, with a few minutes left to spare. DH had started to feel better before I even came back, but the food really helped and while I was holding our spot he said he would be right back. I was sitting and looking out at the water, when I felt something being put on my head. DH had gotten me a pair of light-up Mickey ears!!

It was so sweet!

It's a dark picture, but here they are!
Illuminations started pretty quickly after that, and I watched, enchanted as always. Fireworks just really get to me, I don't know why.
After all of that gorgeousness, we walked to the buses, hand in hand, and savored just being together in WDW....
