:welcome: and hello! :wave2: I'm sorry you missed Crush.. :( I still can't believe how quick-witted he is! I know some of it has to be prepared, but he really does a whole lot of interaction on the fly. I don't think I could ever be that funny spontaneously! I'm very excited to move, but really really scared, too... I vary between those extremes from day to day! And, I feel the same way as you do about the castle... :cloud9: I love it! Thanks for being here! :goodvibes

Joining in! Love the t-shirts did you make them.

Hello! :wave2: Thanks for stopping by! And yep, I made the shirts! I've been tie-dyeing anything and everything lately.. I don't think there's a plain white shirt left in my house!

After our relaxing afternoon, we went back to Epcot for our 3rd attempt to drink around the world. When we got there, we used our Soarin' fast passes, so I took some pics in line.

I absolutely LOVE Soarin'. I think it is one of the most amazing rides ever. I'm a roller coaster fiend (We live a couple hours away from Cedar Point in Ohio and we go at least once a year for our coaster fix. We're going this Saturday, as a matter of fact!) but even the most amazing roller coaster (Millennium Force) doesn't beat Soarin' for a great experience. Every time it's over, I'm so amazed to find my flip flops when we come back down because I feel like I actually flew somewhere!

Anyway, when we got out of Soarin' and started back towards World Showcase... it started to rain. Nope, not kidding. We decided to keep going and hope that it would eventually stop since we had some time. I REFUSED to let us get rained out again! We walked back towards Canada, and when we got there the beer cart was closed because of the rain, so we decided to check out the store and get out of the wet. As I walked up to the door, I saw 2 stuffed animals (a moose and a bear) peeking out of the window and waving back and forth at me! I started to laugh and went into the store, where the two CM's who were waving them were giggling hysterically. It was adorable! They proceeded to do that to everybody that walked by, and I have to admit, it was pretty entertaining to see people's reactions! When we were done shopping, we walked out of the store and miraculously the rain had stopped! We were so happy! We explored the pavilion a bit more, and then the drink cart opened up so we grabbed a Moosehead beer.

Walking on into England, DH had to take a potty break, so I sat down a bench by the Rose and Crown to chill.

FirstAnniversary065.jpg

While I was waiting for DH to come back, Alice and Mary Poppins came by and started to play hopscotch!! It was adorable!!! I LOVE Mary Poppins, so I was in heaven!

FirstAnniversary067.jpg

Look, she even hops cute!

FirstAnniversary066.jpg

Of course DH missed the whole thing, but he wasn't too bummed... I would have been distraught, but then that's just me.. :rolleyes: I wandered over to check out their hopscotch, and it was amazing!! I have vowed that every hopscotch I draw from now on will look like this;

FirstAnniversary069.jpg

Isn't it SO cool?! I loved it. So, being the crazed stalker Mary Poppins fan that I am, I had to go find her to take a picture with her.

FirstAnniversary070.jpg

She is stunningly beautiful! She wished us a happy anniversary, and told us to keep her in mind if we ever needed a nanny in the future. Of course, I told her she was our first choice! (It's true, too! I mean, who wouldn't want her for a nanny? Except, I hope we aren't ever that dysfunctional that we do need her... Or Nanny McPhee, for that matter. Why do these awesome nannies only show up when things are terribly wrong? Something to think about...)

Anyway, after I had my Poppins fix, I decided I needed some fish and chips, so I got those and a Bass Ale for our England drink.

While we were eating, some duckies came to visit.

And then, it was off to France!

Hi!! I have become addicted to TRs so here I am reading yours and its been fun to follow along so far :goodvibes

Amazing simply amazing! I have never in decades of going EVER seen that impromptu Hopscotch game...or even seen Mary Poppins and Alice just "out there". I've seen them at Character meals & MNSSHP & parades of course...what a Magical Anniversary trip! Wondering how you liked POP ? One of my favorite resorts I used to stay there all the time.

Hey Ruthie! :) I know, I couldn't believe my luck with that, it was so cool! We loved Pop too, especially the food court! We're staying there again on our apartment hunting trip. :goodvibes

That hopscotch is so cool!!! I love it. I would have been heart broken if I had missed it as well. I am so gald you were finally able to drink around the world!!!

I know, it was awesome!! DH is such a guy. I was SO excited, and talking a mile a minute when I was telling him about it, and he was just like, "Oh, cool." Men! :rotfl:

I love when you get to see different things on your vacation. :cool1:
We got to see Mary Poppins play with the kids and my DN joined in and thought she had won the lottery.:)

Good Morning all, Joanne don't know if you managed in the running around to discover this but when you go again in Jan, you & Eric should get up early (before bus early).

Walk around the back of the 50's bldg & you will feel like you have the world to yourself. (except for the occassional jogger & CM going by) sit on a bench (take a towel with you cause I mean early dew on everything early) and just quietly listen & watch. You will see some awesome wildlife over the lake and the most beautiful unobstructed view of the sun rising. It has to be the most peaceful and renewing place I have ever discovered. When the whole world is bustling around its like time has stopped and no one exists but you (and of course the ducks, cranes, and squirrels that will befriend you if you do this more tha once it got to the point that I was buying loaves of bread to take on my stays there) Bring your camera and just be.

Ruthie

Aw, that's so great!! And that's kinda how I felt too... :)

Ruthie, that sounds SO beautiful!! Unfortunately, I am SO not a morning person, but I will definitely have to try to get up early to enjoy that spot... :goodvibes

We continued our attempt to drink around the world in France, and I had to get some pics of DH of course. :)

FirstAnniversary075.jpg

I love the details!

Of course I had to get the Grey Goose Lemon slushie!

FirstAnniversary079.jpg

DH got the Grand Marnier orange slushie. (It was good, but we both agreed mine was better!) :)

FirstAnniversary081.jpg

DH also got a SINFULLY delicious cream puff from the Boulingerie Patisserie, and I got a chocolate crepe from the crepe stand. So yummy!

In Morocco we had the sangria, which was good but not my fave.

FirstAnniversary084.jpg

FirstAnniversary085.jpg

The globe from Illuminations!

FirstAnniversary087.jpg

Then we were in Japan. We had sake, which Eric drank all of. Well, I took my obligatory sip, but that was it! I'm not a fan of sake usually, and this one definitely didn't make me change my mind!

Pretty koi!

FirstAnniversary090.jpg

I really really wanted to see Miyuki, after hearing so much about her on the boards, but we had some time to kill so we went into the gift shop. I had to take a pic, because I couldn't believe all the Hello Kittys!

FirstAnniversary091.jpg

And then I saw the Monchichis!!! "Monchichi, Monchichi, oh so soft and cuddly.." Does anybody else remember that, or am I just a big nerd?

FirstAnniversary094.jpg

I also loved all of the Miyazaki merchandise they had, and I bought some Kiki's Delivery Service scrapbooking stickers for one of my best friends. I was so excited to see them! DH and I love the Miyazaki movies, our dog Lola even has a pink stuffed toy that we bought because it looks just like Totoro!

After wandering around the gift shop, it was finally time for Miyuki!

FirstAnniversary092.jpg

FirstAnniversary093.jpg

She was SO cool! I couldn't believe the things she could make, and she made them so quickly! She made a flamingo, a dancing penguin, a pig, a parrot, and a dragon. I loved the fact that she chanted while she was making things, it seemed like she kept saying the same thing over and over, with occasional comments to the audience. It was so cute! I have to admit, I was very jealous of those little kids that got to have the animals made for them... Miyuki needs to have some "adult only" shows! ;)

After being completely enchanted in Japan, we continued on to the good ol' American Pavilion!

Beautiful pictures! Monchi chi monchi chi....my kids LOVED them ...the candy lady is there?! So many rumors on the Dis that she was no longer there or giving out the candy glad you got proof she is...something else I've never seen. Did you see the hidden Mickey in the Koi pond?

Another great update! Can't wait to hear how you felt after you completed drinking your way around the world-how did you feel after drinking all those different drinks?

I am going to have to try that Grand Marnier orange slushie it looks yummy on a hot day.
