My aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago...she has had a double mastectomy (sp?) and almost all of her lymph nodes were removed from under her left arm. She was just told last week that 2 nodules in her chest are not shrinking with the chemo she has been receiving and they cannot radiate due to the fact that she has received radiation in that area twice. They have stopped the chemo, due to the fact that it's not working, and they want her to go to the University of Pennsylvania for a clinical trial they have going right now. She tried to get an appiontment with them and they told her that they can't get her in until the end of March. She already has a call into her doctor to try to get her in sooner. Please say as many prayers as you can and think the best thoughts possible.
My poor mother is so upset...my father passed away from lung cancer at 60 years old 14 years ago, my sister passed away from lung cancer at 36 years old in 2004, my uncle (her brother) died of lung cancer at 57 years old in January of '06. I don't think she can take losing another person that she loves.
