Our End-of-the-Summer Celebration! *TR LINK ADDED!!*

That parade looks really cool!

The parade looks great, lovely pictures :)

Ohhh that looks so cool! great pictures!!!!

Your MK plans sound great!

The parade looks awesome.

Glad you all liked the parade pictures. :) They had a TV broadcast that we taped and watched that last night. It really was neat hearing all the commentary about the wagons and where they originated. So much history!

Guess what came today in the mail?!

Our Magical Express packet! Woo hoo! :cool1::cool1: Only 38 days to go until we're riding on one of those motor coaches. :goodvibes

Your MK plans look great! I am really looking forward to seeing the HoP with the new renovation. It looks truly amazing!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your trip is just around the corner! :yay::yay::yay:

Loved all the Circus Parade pictures. It looks like a really fun parade! Some friends and I went to Circus World in Baraboo many years ago and it was VERY interesting-and we had a blast goofing around too. :goodvibes I loved seeing the old wagons they had on display there as well.

Great parade pictures! Those ponies are so wittle and cute! :cutie:

I know, I loved those little ponies! There were some other little ones that must've never been in a parade before because they kept going all crooked and the handlers who walk along side had to keep directing them. haha it was so funny. :goodvibes

It'll be interesting to see HOP since we haven't seen it in ages! We always thought it was boring.

Glad you liked the Circus Parade pictures. I have never been to Circus World but would really like to some day. It seems like it would be really interesting!

Aw, I miss the MK! :sad1: Just a tip, HoP might be crazy busy now that Obama's there. We were there for the soft opening of one day and it was busy. So I'd recommend doing that while you're waiting for a fast pass time to roll around. So, maybe go get a fast pass for Splash or Big Thunder, then go do HoP since it's not too far!

I'm excited! That means mine should be here any day now! It makes the trip seem so close when you get that magical mickey mail! Lol! We'll have to figure out when we can get together maybe Tammy can too! Maybe the 24th would work we should arrive at pop no later than 11:30am !

Ahh, thanks for the tip for HOP. We'll definitely have to keep that in mind.

So did you get it yet? You're getting pretty close too! The 24th would be great if you wanted to meet up.

Wow, I can't believe we're only 34 days away now. So exciting! Since we're getting so close I decided it was time to go out and get some new shoes. The ones that I have are getting pretty old and worn out...not good for a lot of walking around! So I went over to Kohl's to look at shoes and found a really cute pair:

I was amazed they actually had my size. Usually when I find clothes/shoes I like they don't. So now I'll have to break 'em in a little before we go.

Now time for some more park plans...

Epcot Must-dos!
n20305212_30160701_4288.jpg

This is kind of hard to do since we don't know specifically when we'll be going to Epcot and if it'll be in the morning or afternoon (I know, we must sound crazy to some people for not having a set schedule but hey, it works for us!). Chances are we'll go twice, once in the morning and later in the day. And our plan of attack for the morning is different than it is for the afternoon: generally in the morning we'll hit the big attractions first whereas in the afternoon it's the "lesser" attractions (Journey Into Imagination, Living with the Land). But here's what we hope to accomplish at Epcot:

:figment: Test Track...one of our favorites!

:figment: Soarin...another favorite. Hopefully we can ride this twice.

:figment: Mission:Space...OK, this is really just for Dad and Emma. I have never been on it...I'm kind of a chicken! They keep telling me it's "not that bad" but I have no intentions of trying it. Not a fan of those motion simulators. :scared: Usually I wait outside but I'm thinking maybe I could go inside to where they have the games.

:figment: The Seas with Nemo and Friends

:figment: Kim Possible Adventure. I may be 24 years old but I think this could be kind of fun. And what a great way to explore World Showcase!

:figment: Spaceship Earth

:figment: Universe of Energy. This is one that I keep saying I want to do but we never get around to it. Since it's going to be so hot this might be a good trip to do it again!

:figment: Innoventions...another good place to escape the heat for a while. Anybody have any good exhibits that we should try?

Any other suggestions?

I really liked Universe of Energy...it was nice to get out of the rain. And it truly didn't feel like a 40 minute attraction, it went by very quickly. :thumbsup2

I'm with you on Mission:Space. :scared1:

BTW those sneakers are cute! Let me know what your plans look like for the 24th and we'll see if we can come up with something later in the day or whatever works i'll be at Pop around 11am. I'm guessing as long as the flight isn't delayed for any reason.:goodvibes

Your plans sound great! And yes I got My DME stuff yesterday! :woohoo:

Woo hoo, that is exciting!!! Now we know our trips are just around the corner!

Yeah, I like Universe of Energy too...we haven't done it in a while though.

Your shoes are cute! :goodvibes

Epcot plans sound good!

Thanks!

Just catching up but wanted to say hi! :surfweb:

Hi! Glad to see you back. :)

Thanks! Yeah, I'm not really sure what our plans will be on the 24th  (atleast right now) but since it's our last day :sad2: I'd be guessing we'll go to Downtown Disney or the Magic Kingdom for one last visit.

I like your new park shoes! I was just at Kohl's yesterday. I can NEVER find anything there that fits me that I like that's on sale. Everyone I know in real life and in computerland gets deals at Kohl's!

I'm with you on Mission:Space. I went once and UGH, never ever again. I might do the non-spinning side at some point when Henry is older and wanting to, but otherwise, I'll just skip right over it. :goodvibes

I'm also with ya on the Kim Possible! I'm 30 and going to do this, it sounds great!!! :thumbsup2

Guess where you'll be this time next month?!?! WALT DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!! :woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay: I can't believe how fast the time is going. CRAZY!

Love your new shoes, very cute!

Your Epcot plans look good. Although, I'd add Maelstrom to the must-do list. For some reason, I just HAVE to ride this. I love the backwards drop and the relaxing music at the end (right before you enter the theater). I also like to go into the Mexican pavilion and we ALWAYS have to hit Boulangerie Patisserie. Those French pastries are SO good!!

Great Epcot plans! Love the sneakers too!

Give Mission Space a shot...maybe your dad and sis will go on the more tame side with you. It's really a lot of fun! One more month, wooo! :woohoo:

Thanks! It seems like Kohl's is always having a sale, I don't know if I've ever bought anything full price there! But of course those shoes were pretty much the most expensive ones I saw, I think they were only $5 off.

Yeah, I think I'd have to do the non-spinning version but I don't even know if I'd be able to handle that. At Universal we did the Jimmy Neutron thing that's pretty much a motion simulator/movie type attraction and man, that was enough for me! And to think it was designed for kids. I must really be a wimp...:rotfl:

Yep, in one month we should be there, hopefully strolling around the Magic Kingdom. That is such a great thought right now!

The Maelstrom is cool...we did that for the first time in a while in Dec. I was thinking of maybe doing the boat ride in Mexico again and the bakery in France is sooooo good! I love the chocolate mousse and the croissants. Mmmmm. Great suggestions!

Part of me really wants to try it but part of me doesn't. We'll have to see what happens, maybe when we go to Epcot I'll be feeling brave!

Just wanted to say that in exactly ONE MONTH we will be in Disney World! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes Our flight is early in the morning so unless we get delayed we should be checked into the Wilderness Lodge and out at a park!

I thought as another countdown since we're only a month away now I'd share some of my favorite things from my favorite place in the world. It might be an attraction I love, a favorite resort, or just some random little bit of Disney that I look forward to every time we go. So let the list begin!

Favorite thing #1: Monorails!

n1605780003_30341886_1698.jpg

Ever since staying at the Polynesian I've loved the monorail. I'll always remember walking to the Great Ceremonial House up to the monorail platform to get to the Magic Kingdom. I love everything about it, including those famous words, "Please stand clear of the doors..." (we've had that as our start-up sound on the computer!)

And as a tradition when we arrive we'll try to guess which color monorail we'll see first which is always kind of fun. Now no trip is complete without atleast one ride on the monorail. :thumbsup2
